Okay so this is very frustrating because while I am talking to text if I have the display timeout setting for 30 seconds and I talk for longer than 30 seconds the screen goes blank and so my talking to text stops --- very frustrating because you would think it would be smart enough to know to keep the screen on while you talk to text.

When using the supplied headset during calls my screen will dim and as soon as I start speaking it becomes active again leaving it open to respond to touch. Anyone else experience this?

Nobody?
Is this question too stupid to answer?? I just would like to know if its normal for the phones screen to seemingly turn off and on while making calls with the headset. Im not a headset guy so I have no idea? But I have accidentally hung up on my wife twice now (yes accidentally) because the screen stays on/active.
Yeah I notice that just when using it regularly...takes ages to dim or turn off. Odd for sure and an oversight it seems
Yes, I had that a week ago, the Screen timeout actived for 3 seconds and led up again.
Then i reallized that I had batterytime lite Icon and Task Killer Icon on Status Bar.
Just I removed them and thing were back to normal again.
So give it a try, hope that helps
Anybody else seen this or am i high? just started - i get a text or an email and the screen never goes off after the 30 seconds its set to.

For the home button waking phone issue, see this thread in this forum from yesterday:

I'm not as worried about the Home key, but I have the same complaint about receiving SMS.
When I receive a text message, my screen turns on for a few seconds, then turns off again. Is there a way to stop this?
If I touch the screen when it is on, it takes me into whatever I touched, and the screen stays on. That is particularly a problem when it turns on while in my pocket.
My phone is set to have no lock screen (and unless you use a PIN or similar, I don't know why you would want a lock screen - it's just one more step to get to using your phone).
My Messaging app is set to show notifications in the notification bar and play a sound and vibrate, but not to show a message preview.
So, I think it's actually a bug that the screen would turn on at all, just from receiving an SMS or MMS message.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to stop this behavior?
Whenever I get an incoming call and the screen is off, it takes the screen several seconds to turn on. I almost can't answer the call because the screen doesn't come on until the caller hangs up. I'm stock but rooted. Anyone have any ideas? It's really annoying.
Wish I could help. I use the quick window case and the calls display in the window faster it seems because only the top half congress on

It's almost like there's screen lag when a call is incoming. I can hear the ringtone and see the LED light blinking but the screen remains black for 4-7 seconds. If the caller continues hanging on...the screen will eventually come on and show the incoming call screen.
This really sucks.
EDIT: I think I figured it out. I froze the Caller Name ID app in TiBu and I guess by freezing it, it caused some issues when calls out come in. Defrosting it fixed the incoming call screen lag. I wonder if it would still produce lag if I were to completely uninstall it?
I don't use AOD
When I receive a text, the screen lights up for about 1.5-2 seconds and then turns off, not enough time to read it or try and click it unless I'm not distracted, anyway to increase that time to 5 seconds?
Found an app that seems to do the trick for me
