Hello XDA forum members,
I have a Black Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB capacity ATT model. There is a band of pixels which is brighter than the others about 1.25 inches from the bottom of the screen. In order to reproduce the problem, set brightness to minimum setting. Then open up a browser and load up a solid grey color image. You will be able to see a bright band of pixels. I have had three replacements from ATT and same problem on all of them. I am sure it is a hardware / firmware error as taking a screen shot and viewing it on a computer screen does not show problems. I attach settings and couple of images with the band.
Any thoughts on how to proceed?
Hi guys,
I have noticed in the dark when using my note 3 in the settings menu the bottom portion of my screen seems to be grey not black. At first I thought maybe this was a software issue so I took a screen shot and zoomed in. When viewing the photo zoomed in the entire screen is grey ish with lines (normal lines had on all amoled screens) When moving the image the greyness does not move which to me says its the screen. However! When using a pixel tester and putting a pure black picture up the screen is perfectly black.
Ideas or thoughts?

That's the way Touchwiz and Gingerbread was originally designed and Samsung kept it this way. This is completely normal and is the software. It's not an issue. It is the same way on my Note 3,Note 2 and Galaxy S II.

Hi to all of you,
Like title say i have problem with white pearl s7 edge.
There is screen light all around screen on white surface of the phone when brightness is set to maximum.Does anyone have same issue?Or is it an issue or is normal thing with white samsung?
Thanks
Hey guys, I bought a brand new S7 edge and the first thing I noticed is that it's not as bright as the S6 edge Plus when on full manual brightness, is that normal? Also the white is not as white as the entire screen (not just the corners) has a greenish hue not just on the corners which is normal, but the entire screen. Another issue is that auto brightness does not actually dim or brighten the screen automatically.
Please look at a comparison picture between a colleagues s7 edge on full brightness/adaptive display, and mine which is the same setting apart from my font size is set to tiny.
Change the screen mode to AMOLED cinema. Then it will be brighter.
Wow the device on the left has a huge pink tint in the whole screen, your screen is just fine (unless yours is the one with the pink tint, if yes replace it imo)
S7 Edge Display pink vertical line on right side of mobile...
please help...
i have also try *#0*# code for display test.
in test pink line show only red & blue color
in green color pink line not show.
my s7 edge imported handset no India warranty.
actually its from Vietnam.
please tell me other diagnosis procedure...
thanks in advance...
I have the same or similar effect on my S7 edge. There is a line on the right side of the display exactly where the bended section starts, approx 5mm long in vertical direction from beginning on the top end of the screen.
The "line" is in fact a number of pixel with all different colors which seems to be active all the time
few month ago i also had this pink line, must change the display unit for 300 Euro.
