LG Bridge: your phone cannot backup - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Already made a backup when I first setup my V20.
A lots changed since then so I want to make a backup of my current setup.
LG Bridge gets as far as Preparing items for backup... 100%, hangs there for a while, then Your phone cannot backup. Reconnect your phone and try again.
Tried a dozen times now, no joy.
Any ideas?
LG Bridge Ver. 1.2.36
Windows 10

Sorted after uninstalling and reinstalling twice.

Touch HD won't boot - Recover contacts before hard reset?

Hi all,
I had a weird problem today. Was on the phone, when time cam to hang up, the phone froze and I couldnt. Waited about a minute for it to unfreeze, no success. I then removed the battery and restarted it. It stuck at the HTC logo.
Here's what I have tried to make it boot :
- Soft reset
- Removed the battery and waited more than an hour, then tried again
- Tried without the micro SD
- Tried without the SIM
- Tried without both
- Tried while connected to a PC
- Tried while plugged to the power supply.
None of this worked, always stuck at the HTC logo.
I can perform a hard reset. Problem is I do not have a recent backup of my contacts, data etc. Last time I synced was in November, and I had a Resco backup scheduled daily to my Micro SD, but now that I checked, for whatever reason no backup happened since mid December.
Is there any way I can recover my contacts before hard resetting? I can get rid of all the other stuff but I NEED all the contacts I added since December and for which I have no backup.
Thanks a lot,
Simo
NOTE : No cooked ROM, I went back to the official HTC Rom

Unfortunayely from what I can tell you need to be able to access your phone to backup your contacts and as you cannot access phone I can't see how you can back these up
It also looks like you may need to hard reset device to fix it ........try removing battery for a whole night and then try again
For future record I backup conacts/emails eveyday, but then again I generally flash a new rom every other day

Hmmm... made me check my backups...
PIMBackup does it's "backup to SD card" magic every night at 23:56
On the other hand, I charge my HD from PC at least once a week, and thus sync data with Outlook.
@simobk: Sorry, but looks like you lost all your new contacts since last Resco backup...
Hope you will check backup functionality more often in the future...
Thank you for your answers... Although it is hard to accept
I learned through another forum that all the contacts are stored to a file called PIM.vol.
Is there anyway I can dump of all the files to a PC without being able to boot? Is there some kind of Safe Mode startup option in Windows Mobile?
Thanks,
Simo

Bootloop after rebooting the phone

Hi guys,
My phone was acting weird this morning giving all kinda erros (Didn't install anything new or so).
Tried whiping the phone nandroid back up, but just didn't work.
Would be in progress for 30mins but no response afterword.
I installed stock rom trough sd-card (PD98IMG.zip).
Phone booted, I nicly set-up everything.
Then the market hung. So did a reboot.
And now it's rebooting all te time not fully reboot but the HTC Quality brilliant reboots all the time (with the sound)
What is going on here??
The phone is also akting very very slow.
UPDATE1:
After trying to restore factory settings, The phone just got stick to the white HTC screen (without the HTC Quality Birlliant thing)
UPDATE2:
Phone does boot ok when installing fresh stock rom using sd-card.
No don't dare to reboot
UPDATE3:
Device did reboot without any problems (Altho I hav'nt set-up anything yet such as g accoutn etc.
Hmz issue seems to be HTC Sense reinstalling the apps from market..
I think it's the CPU. Going to the store today.

[Q] Restoring backups, between firmwares/ROMs

It seems like this doesn't work. I have a full Zune back-up of a 7.5 ROM, but I'm currently running a different 7.8 ROM. I want to restore the 7.5 ROM back-up. Do I have to reflash that ROM first?
The phone is not in the 'Connect to PC' state
What I learned so far when restoring a back-up using the Windows Phone 7 Zune Backup utility, is that after using the utility once, I get a message saying "The phone is not in the 'Connect to PC' state". Now having tried everything, including different versions of Windows, re-installing various apps and different versions, the one and only thing that solves this problem, and it works every time, is to re-flash the phone.
That's some free information for others who encounter this problem in the future. Solves it every time, but only until you use the utility again.

[Q] com.android.phone stopped after upgrade to Lollipop

I have just upgraded my LG G2 D802 unrooted, fully stock phone to the the official lollipop version (D80230a) via the LG PC Suite program. The process finished successfully, the phone rebooted, updated the apps, but ever since ther is a pop-up window comming up, with the message that com-android.phone stopped working. If I push ok, it comes up again in half second. I have already cleaned the phone apps data and cache, without success. Any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance.

Same here, rooted however. If somebody has an idea how to overcome this short of factory reset will be great. I also tried cleaning phone apps cache without success.
I had to make a factory reset. This was the only way to solve the problem. Still I am not sure if one could praise LG for this.
Only solution is to apply factory reset ...

Canadian D803 Soft Boot Loops. Need help at least to make Apps and Data Backup

I've got a Canadian G2 D803. I have been using AICP 10 (aicp_d803_lp-10.0-NIGHTLY-20151225), the last lollipop release. I used this because in January when I tried MM release, it caused random soft boots at the time.
With the AICP 10 lollipop, it was mostly working fine until Friday when it all of a sudden doing soft reboots. It wasn't just a single isolated instance. It began doing it constantly. Every time it finished booting up, after a minute or so, it would soft reboots itself. In addition, when it constant soft reboots, the time would reset to linux default of 1970-01-01. Because it only stays in boot completed for only a minute, it wasn't long enough to sync time with service provider or ntp servers. Manually correct the time and a few soft reboots later would reset back to default 1970-01-01.
I should also note that this is not the first time it happened. I traveled to China in May, and this soft reboot loop kept happening. But the problem stopped after I disable auto time sync. But this time, I disable time sync and it's not working.
My main issue right now is I want to backup all the apps and data with Titanium Backup before wiping the phone or moving to another phone. But it only completed boot for 1 minute before it soft reboots by itself again. Within the 1 minute time, for multiple reboots, I uninstall some recent apps. However, so far it doesn't have any effect. I've also tried clearing dalvik and data cache in TWRP. While the phone boots and runs through the "optimizing" app on boot, it doesn't soft reboot, not until it completes booted into the OS. Here is a more detailed list of things I have tried so far without success:
I'm completely at a loss right now as I just want to backup the apps and data first. Does anyone experience something like this before? Anyone has any clue about this or similar issues?
I do have a logcat and kmsg. I don't think I'm allowed to attach to the post because I'm new to XDA. Where can I post it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
