The Honor 8 has been out for about 10 months now and can now be purchased for $299 from the Honor website. So let's see how this phone holds up and if it's still worth the money.
Updates
The Honor 8 was early to the Nougat scene and has been updated regularly. The stock firmware is currently on Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.0. This has the Honor 8 easily keeping up with its competitors when it comes to updates.
Development
There are several regularly updated ROMs for the Honor 8 that will bring you up to Android 7.1.2. This phone can be rooted with SuperSU while running nougat, and the bootloader can be unlocked easily. So as far as development goes, the community has not let us down.
Specs
Seeing as how the Honor 8 is now a $300 phone, the specs hold up just fine and sometimes easily surpass other phones in this price range. The 4GB of RAM is what most flagship phones are launching with today. The 1080p screen is still plenty usable with no complaints from me. The camera has aged well, still being a lot of fun to use with all of the camera modes on this device. The Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor keeps this phone running plenty fast.
Durability
Who else cracked the back of their phone? Other than that, it's still in once piece. Parts are easy to find on ebay and they're very cheap. This is something that I usually look at when buying a new phone.
Accessories
There were never really a great selection of cases to choose from for the Honor 8. Seems there's still a very slim selection or low quality cases for this device.
Overall this phone holds up nicely. I'd say if it were $400 it would be too expensive. $299 seems like a really fair price for this phone to be going at right now. You can usually find it even lower than that on some other websites.
Just give us EMUI 5 KERNEL source code and we'll be happy customers
I'm afraid you'll find many that would argue that development has NOT been great with this device. Still a great phone though...
How much did Honor pay you for this post?
Look at all the threads saying "Huge battery drain after upgrading to EMUI 5." And you'll know where Huawei screw up.

everyone complain about bad battery life after upgrading to A7. Update policy I call it joke, there are a lot of users who still doesn't still received update to A7.

At the risk of piling on to an innocent person, I too thought the OP looked like a press release from Huawei. Interestingly enough, I made a similar post about how the Honor 8 needs a better reputation just a few hours earlier in this same forum. So maybe I'm getting what I asked for? :victory:
Imho the Honor 8 is not a bad phone hardware wise, It's just seems like they spend more on PR than actual development and updates. His statement about updates is laughable at best.

No update to Android O for Honor 8 according to this: https://www.google.bg/amp/s/theleaker.com/android-o-8-0-update-smartphones-list/amp/
If this is true, i am pretty sure that Huawei are idiots!
See the link correctly https://theleaker.com/android-o-8-0-update-smartphones-list You will find out in comments that they have only included the devices which will get the update for sure, I also don't think that Honor 8 will get the update. But don;t know maybe they will seed an update.

That's someone's opinion but I doubt it's Huawei's official opinion. I'll wait till they announce their intentions.
That will blow if the honor 8 doesn't get Android O. I got another one on sale and have high hopes for this device
Okay, I broke the back glass. Paid $40 to get it repaired.
About the software updates, the US version is doing poorly. Security patches are not delivered monthly. We stayed at a very early patch for a very long time. About the O update, this device should get it. They should at least provide two major Android updates. One was Nougat and the next has to be O.

Only this community of phone nerds cares about monthly security patches. There isn't a company outside of Google that can realistically maintain that level of software support for their entire device portfolio. 2 major OS updates is the most we should realistically expect from Honor or any company. Anything else on top of that is just icing on the cake.
My girlfriend's Huwei P8 receives security patches every two months at least, one just received some days ago with July security patches. So i don't understand why we are not getting them...however, i agree with PuffDaddy_d. I would prefer to have Android O instead monthly security updates

I'm pretty sure you know it haven't it. Don't have to be ironic, just understand what i mean to say. Having Nougat doean't mean delay in security patch updatea, but if you're ok with this, perfect. However i told i don't care about them too much.
does anybody regret getting the honor 8? i'm debating between it and the pixel (for 2x the price).

The last update for PLK-L01 is B380 with security patches dated back to 1 August 2016. (I received the OTA in September/October)
It's February 2017 now.
Can we do something to urge Honor to be clear about their support plan?
Because it would be a shame that this device had no support after only one year of his life. ( 1 year !!! )
I'm not even talking about EMUI 5 because at this point there's very little hope but I will be very disappointed if there won't be any further updates. For sure I'll think twice before buying/recommending Huawei phones.
Sorry but I had to vent a bit.

I totally agree with you. It would be especially a shame because Honor promised a 2 year Update guarantee.
I don't think we can do anything about this situation the only answer we would get would be a "We are always trying our best" and so on.
Actually....Seem official that won't be any Nougat release (due to hw compatibility).... at the same time it's possible a porting of emui 5 features (split screen and other stuff) to an update for the divices that can't support Android 7 as H7.
This should include also fresh security patch, but I don't think we'll see this famous update before the summer.
All this is what I could understand, in totally unofficial way from the leaking of Honor support...
So let's hope.... something will arrive, but naturally to upgrade H7 and all the devices still young but that can't support Nougat; it isn't exactly at the top of the list for Honor now...
Anyway yes, H7 isn't a lucky smartphone; it have good hw; it run smooth and fast, and could deserve more....
....After all, I came from a Nexus 5; so I was use to have always fresh sw; and to have it before any other ......To tell the truth I don't care so much anymore, untill my H7 is running well (as now), software upgrade won't be a crazy pb.

Well i'm not even mad for not getting Android 7 and i am okay with that. But it would be nice if we could get some features from EMUI 5 at least. Let's see what the future brings us.
not officially at least: support should be granted for another 6 months, but don't expect much more than a few fixes and a security patch.... my guess is: tiny update with January security patch in the next few weeks, then a final small farewell update in summer.
further software development is out of the question IMHO. huawei just don't seem to learn from their past mistakes...

I Agree, could be a way...
...In all this, i think that is more bad luck with the last Nougat API not supported than any laziness or few interess in the developing...
But I agree another time that if Huawei/Honor want to fight with the top brands, they have to start to better follow their devices, or at least to have a clear policy on releasing update; without confusion or heavy bugs over major release.

But the problem AFAIK is that Honor 7 soc won't support Vulcan, which is required to get a official nougat build from a manufactorer accepted by google.
I have UL00 model and I'm using stable B386 from 01/12/2017. Security patch from 01/01/2017.
I'm just saying this version might come to other models too.
If you want to get security updates, get an iPhone.
Android is a totally insecure system due to the way Google had signed the manufacturers up. It always gets security updates several months later, and after a year and half you can throw your phone away or remain with your insecure system.

I beg to differ... samsung s4 (2013) is on jan 2017 security patch, and even the cheap xiaomi mi2 (2012) has the same january 2017 update... personal experience.
so you don't need to have an iphone to get a decently long lasting software support.
among the top producers, it's just huawei that keeps disappointing its customers. and the joke is on us, since we still fall for it...

Thanks for the feedback, but you are just confirming the TOTAL mess android is.
My Samsung s3 had very bad support. It took months for security fixes to land after being released by Google.
And even worse for my Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 tablet. After 12 months no support anymore. And for security updates it was a 6 months wait at best.
My HTC phone was very bad also. 6 months at best for security updates and no support anymore after 18 months.
So, as you say sometimes you can get lucky with some devices BUT YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IN ADVANCE if your phone will be supported correctly or not.
I'm currently still on Android because I like the OS, but as it is such an unsecure unsupported platform I think I'll jump ship to iPhone next.

it sure is impossible to foresee for how long a smartphone will be supported, but huawei has given us plenty of reasons in the last years to at least doubt their policy.
p6, p7 were a real shame, especially being the latter a bit pricey for a huawei; p8, mateS and h7 are the latest victims. and these are just the ones I personally know about. only h6 has had a fairly good support, especially for the price.
now I'm not saying samsung is perfect, they are far from it... (and I don't want to take into account tablets because it's true, android pretty much sucks when it comes to tablets and updates... :/ ) but since you came up with the s3 model, well that was a very hardware limited model... one of the last pre-JB models, with 1gb of ram only... especially with KK all the 1gb models became obsolete... but if you take the lg g1 that was commercialised only 4-5 months later with 2gb, it lived long enough to be updated from ICS to JB and finally to KK.
LG G2-G3-G4 are all receiving small updates from time to time, even if they are mainly only security fixes, but honestly it's the same thing happening with iphones, old models don't get the new features, just small fixes.
same with S4-S5-S6; not sure about M7, but I can guarantee for M8 and M9. Xiaomi still updates a lot of models from 2012-2013.
final words: among the big ballers, there's just one brand that keeps fooling its customers, and that's huawei/honor.
h7/p8/mateS are all 2015 devices... 2015... and h7's support has been dead for 7 months already... it's a shame!
Honor 7 will never updated to android 7.0, mb will coming some minor updates from vendors, mb..Last hope is only developers) imho
yes, they have abandoned us. From now never buy honor product.

Honor/Huawei
I had HTC phones in the past, then LG G2 and then changed to H7. I was very satisfied with it, because of smooth running, but when they announced that it wont get new update to nougat I was very dissappointed. Because it was clear then that there will be no updates, at least not any big updates. Its not old phone with good HW. And because of that I decided for iphone. No complaint till now, I have it for 6 months.
Answer AFAIK is nope, since Huawei/Honor only deliver one major update, and they did it "recently" (2016-09 according to their site) on Western Europe (PLK-L01) (probably the last wave who recieved it) with Android Marshmallow. But, the 5 and 6X recieved it.
Kinda regret getting this phone after only 7 months of owning it...
We will see...
Yep, another big costly Chinese tibit.

1. I doubt these reps have any more of a clue about the O update for the H8 than you do. If you communicate with enough of them, I am sure one of them will give you the answer you're looking for.
2. What's the fascination with the O update anyway? Functionally, what do you want to do that O will help you with (that N and M do not)?
3. If you use the H8 as a daily driver, the need to experiment with the latest and greatest is diminished. Haven't you read the numerous posts complaining about compatibility with N, much less O? As an example, it took ages for Xposed to work with N. Many here would prefer full compatibility with Xposed vs. an O update with limited or no Xposed support.
4. There are many other threads talking about O being promised -- or not -- for the H8. Why can't posters just update one thread with their latest updates from (mostly clueless) reps?

It's not that I'm fascinated with the O update, I just feel a bit cheated because they promised 2 years of updates right? Buying a phone (with great specs) that becomes outdated in a couple of months kinda stings. And for xposed... I'm not too into that anymore especially with stability/diversity rom issues with this device; I gave roms try for a while but the loss of some functionality and higher charging temps made me uneasy

Imho we're only talking about official upgrades, no root or xposed, so we don't really care about xposed : if you use xposed, you have rooted your phone, so you willingly excluded yourself from official upgrades.
I think a lot of us understood that 2 years updates meant 2 major android upgrades, which is not what happens, we only get very minor updates every few months.
Imho a real serious way of handling updates would be to release one with every google security patch, with no new feature and only bug fixing, security first.
And then state something about the major android upgrades, but these 2 should be separated.
But I'm dreaming in a non commercial world
And if you add a so-called partnership with XDA developers, and no real full source has been released, yes this is very disappointing.
Unfortunately Huawei is terrible with updating their previous devices. They're in it for a quick buck and move onto the next new one. All you can do is vote with your money next time and buy a Google pixel if you want updates, or an iPhone. I wouldn't expect more than 1 major os upgrade for any Huawei devices.
I want KRACK patched. If it's not patched in the next month I'm selling my phone for an iPhone.

I second that. KRACK (hell, even Blueborne) is unpatched on our phones. I understand that we get "regular" updates, but seriously, an out-of-band update when serious vulnerabilities occur is not much to ask.
Not everybody can afford an iPhone, but for sure, if Huawei/Honor don't get their act together, this will be the first and the last of their devices that I will ever buy.

Yes, but so much advertising around XDA partnership and honor 8 beeing their new "long live" model made a lot of us buy it even if they had such reputation.
iPhone ? Never ever ! This is the opposite problem, they push too much major upgrades so your phone becomes a low performance phone.
I have an ipad2 for music creation, I recovered good performance when I rolled back from verrrrry laggggggy iOS 9 to iOS 6.
From the previous update patterns.. if your model has launched with (MM) you will get the next one(N). If your model has launched with (N), then you will get the Oreo. Period..
It depends.
Honor promised either 12 or 24 months of Major Android Updates. Honor has delivered in the past like my Honor 4C got two major Android updates Lollipop and Marshmallow. I believe we should get Oreo since it is extremely healthy for the development community. If Honor delivers Oreo with Treble Support, there's a high chance of getting a fully functional bulges custom ROMs for the device.
From my previous experiences with Huawei devices i noticed that they only receive 1 major update during their lifetime. Even flagships. That was true with Ascend P7 (4.2.2.-->5.1.1), P8 (5.1.1-->6.0) and now the same with Honor 8. Huawei does not even bother with intermediate OS updates like 7.0.2 and 7.1.1
It was released with 6.0, now it has 7.0, so ... that's it.
Well, the Honor 6X was released only two months after the 8 with 6.0 too and it has Oreo planned. It doesn't make sense for Honor to ditch 8 for 6X. Let's wait and see.
Those are not official. Someone in these forums got replied to an email that Honor 8 will get a closed beta for it soon. That person is not official Honor and is therefore fake.
Yup the xda partnerships that honor/Huawei touts everytime ar sooooooooooooooooo fake its laughable.

The customer support is now saying that even the Honor 6X isn't going to recieve the Oreo update.
She did mention that despite it hasn't been announced we shouldn't lose hope since it still isn't CONFIRMED. She also mentioned that we will continue recieving security patches which honestly is more that enough for me......
I've tried Oreo on my Nexus 5X and if anything it made the device slower and doesn't have any new changes or features apart from the password filling in apps or the updated Bluetooth codec.

It could mean that even he isn't sure which models are actively testing Oreo or they haven't even started testing it. Until it's put through some type of early tests, they can't release any info.
Haha let's start speculation again.
You right.
I am assuming that he is very well aware of what's the Honor plan in near future. On the other hand it might be later found inconvenient for Huawei to let spread the official statement about last year Honor flagships -
Honor 8 and 8 Pro - are about to receive Oreo which might have significant impact on both Huawei and Honor new models sales (like still mentioned Honor 9 and V9). I think they will release official statement (now they surely have to) after Christmas, probably January 2018, about releasing Oreo for those phones in Q1 of 2018. Who knows Honor would then expect the release of OTA about April to May of 2018 practically.
While there is still a small chance that Huawei could even stop the release of the update if they are afraid of new models sales., I don't think they will play that card for good reason - credibility in the eyes of potential customers.
Where is that list, and where did you got this from?

I think that's an excellent argument, it's very possible that their reasoning is a new OS on an older phone will affect sales of a new phone. Wait a few months after the release of your new phone and then push out Oreo to the older phone. The marketing people may be in charge of this theory.

B398 OTA for L09C432 was pushed recently, and
some Croatian users reported B399 started to appear.
B398 includes November security patch.
B399 includes December security patch.
A new one, B401 just appeared on Firmware Finder, I suppose, according to the size, that it is nougat with January security patch.
So, even if I wish there were monthly updates for security, we have security updates.

They do it all the time, after this the FRD-L09 models won't see updates for a while and all the other models will recieve updates. They did this before and I'm pretty sure they'll do it again. I just don't get why Honor doesn't have one universal model number for all regions like OnePlus or Google.

this is why you stop supporting them. i have im just waiting to see what the new Sony phones look like but im just itching to buy a oneplus 5t. i bought 3 1+5s for my family but due to the front facing fingerprint reader i passed.
the 5t seems great aside from the lack of expandable storage so i hope the new Sony phones look good.

The reason I really like this phone is cause I got it on Black Friday last year with a bunch of accessories. The price I got it for was alot lesser than OnePlus at that time and honestly for me the current build is pretty stable for my usage (Teen with bunch of social media, YouTube and games).

sony is great on software in fact its the best due to its large adds a large amount of code to aosp. they use vanilla ui with optimization and if they use a skin its easy to remove thanks to rro.
all oems should follow sony's ui methods. no one likes themes that are hard coded, they just suck! what im hoping is that google bakes security updates into treble so that they can be downloaded through the playstore in the future.
About two weeks ago I sent an Email to the honor support. I asked them about their once made promise to update the honor 8 for at least two years after the release. The answer was that the two years support would only include security updates. They wouldnt give any comment on oreo. I would guess it is rather unlikely that we will get an update to oreo for our device.
Sorry Guys...
If you were hoping to get updated to EMUI / OREO 8.0 in Quarter One...
Like Huawei / Honor PROMISED!
Then it saddens me to inform you it's not coming until at least Quarter Two of 2018 now...
https://www.xda-developers.com/honor-7x-honor-8-emui-8-q2-2018-honor-france/
Are you sticking with the 7X now?
I personally don't like companies that lie to their customers.. They should have never thrown Quarter One out there if they new they were not going to meet target.
It's the "Budget Phone" of the 2017 lineup.. but this is still a slap in the face.
It's still coming just a little late.
You sound like a junkie desperate for a fix.
It missed the target by a few weeks a month or more there's bigger things to worry about.
Compare it to the recent botch job of a update by Xiaomi.

It's not that bad.We are getting it just a bit late .I personally think it's better to wait than getting a totally messy miui 9 device.EMUI is much better and offers better customisation than MIUI.

Now Huawei / Honor Has Shown Their True Colors....
THIS IS THE BOTTOM TIER UNIT.. AND NOT WORTH ANY REAL EFFORT.. In their eyes.
There is not a Gosh Darn Reason this should not have gotten Oreo by now when the View 10 lanuched with it.. and now, they are saying it may not be here until JUNE!
It's because it a $199.99 phone... that's why.
I personally do not like being lied to.. I went through this with ZTE.. promising 7.0 and giving nothing.
I do believe they also promised the 6X Nougat.. and delayed and delayed it.. ( Did it ever get it? )
And Finally,
What Does This Do To The Development Community ?
There Is No Nougat Image Even Released ! and it's been over 60 days since this device went on sale !
There Sure As Hell Ain't Going To Be An Oreo Image Released at this pace UNTIL July / August !!!
Can't create any ROM's without any Images! Stripped or Otherwise.
Project Treble.......................................Down The Drain........... now, for at least several months.
If Ever.
Do You See ANY Developer's Waiting Around For This Device ?
Not when the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Moto G6 Plus, OnePlus 6 Hell..... EVEN HONOR"S OWN VIEW 10! are right there and will have STRONG Developmental Support behind each and every one of them.
All of you that rooted.... you did the right thing... may as well have fun with it if you are going to keep it (Just don't muck it up so you can at least sell it at some point)
Even though it's feature packed (in my eyes) for a budget device Honor is just not "Honorable"
That means A LOT to me. And you're telling us you can't get the final tweaks right within the next 50+ days???
Then you are not putting forth much effort to meet target on your bottom of the line device.
And the competition I mentioned is just around the corner.. and they WILL LAUNCH with Oreo 8.0.. and get TREMENDOUS Development Support... with or without the advantages of Project Treble...
The 7X 's Loyalty Is About To Be Tested.
Doesnt bother me actually... id I NEED Oreo, ill likely just hop on a custom rom (Already got a beta AOSP Oreo out) but happy with 7 for now. I came form the V8 Blade Pro so waiting another Q or 2 isn't that bad.
I'd rather wait for a finished product as opposed to getting a half assed rushed disaster tbh.
I find it disappointing that there is not a full firmware available for download.
Are they delaying Oreo for other reasons? They should at least have the firmware for Nougat.
How did they install from the factory? Seems a little lame.
When did they promise a Q1 release? Cause any time I've reached out to customer service, all they told me was "soon." I know there was some XDA article about it back in like September, but I never really determined if that was anything more than hearsay.
Honor US has said they're shooting for a release "by April", which technically does not rule out a Feb/March release (though I doubt it will come before April).

I somewhat agree though I'm not too ticked off. This is a very solid phone, but by the time we get 8.0 (April apparently) Android P will already be in the works. Well, just know that I'll most likely never purchase another Honor device again. The Moto G6 Plus is looking really attractive though, I might ditch the 7x for the G6 this coming summer.
Go look in the Roms, kernels forum, it's there.
I'd like to see a list of which companies have NOT missed delivery dates at some point for their updates along the way. It isn't unusual at all, and doesn't really meet the criteria of a lie in my opinion, but everyone can take it how they like. I've managed projects before so I know that timelines slip for many reasons, very rarely is it becuase of a desire to decieve anyone. But I can't ascribe motive to them, I can only see what is happening. Anyway, sorry it has apparrently been a life-destorying moment for some to hear this news, but I agree with many on here that I would rather get a stable release even if it slips a little bit. Being in the USA I know I'll get it last anyway, so it isn't something I'm checking for every day anyway.
Dude chill a little man damn. Big deal, things get delayed, **** happens. And there is a rom posted in the rom section of this phone. How could you miss it when you post in almost every thread when anyone talks about rooting their phone. It's right here man,

Do u expect the Moto G6 Plus to get newer versions of Android faster? The Moto G5 Plus released with Nougat and has never recieved the Oreo update. The patches date back to October or November whereas the Honor 7X is recieving the Feb security patches on some units.
I don't really get why r people freaking out abt this. U paid $199 which is a great value, so what if an update got delayed by a month or 2. Samsung has done this, Motorola has done it too many times to even count.
Oreo 8.0 has a bad rep for being unstable which is making it hard for OEMs to roll the update out.
And finally u can't expect a company to give equal emphasis to a BUDGET phone and to a FLAGSHIP phone. Thats the reality. Pick up any samsumg mid Ranger and u'll find that the Honor 7X has recieved more updates, the same goes for anything from Motorola. The Honor View 10 is reported to cost around $400-$450 which is twice the cost of the Honor 7X.
There is the argument abt Dev support but I can guarantee atleast 90-95% ppl using Android don't care abt ROMs or rooting.

When I was considering buying a Oneplus 1+8 pro I was being told by YT influencers and media that if you like clean and good OS with frequent updates and longterm support that Oneplus is the way to go.
It has now been over 4 months since last update and AFAIK nothing is happening on that matter.
We have OB2 which is nowhere near being ready for daily driver. Even when it is released as stable I bet it will be even worse as what the current 10 is.
We have updates coming out for the 7 and Nord series but nothing for the 8.
If somebody wants to claim that there is nothing to update I will call them idiots. This OS is nowhere near to the level of the OSs I had on my previous Samsung and Apple phones. There are all sorts of issues which are not being addresed by Oneplus.
Am I the only one having a problem with that fact?

1st - OB2 is like 3 weeks old, not 4 months. Hope you don't expect Stable A11 days after Pixels.
2nd - if you believe YT influencers, then I wish you good luck.
3rd - security updates are spot on.
4th - I use OB2 since the release day and have no complains. Eventually high battery use of Google Play Store app. Nothing crazy.
]1st - I was referring to stable A10. Latest update was released Aug 15, 2020. So not 4 months but 2. Still long time ago.
2nd -I cannot establish my own opinion since I have no chance to see these phones in person before purchase. Also this is nowadays normal and best way to buy stuff.
3rd - No they are not. The latest stable version is on August security patch. We are now in the middle of October. Even Samsung is pushing that as we speak.
4th - I use my phone for work so no I will not run beta SW on it.
Samsung are better with security updates, but oneplus will get android 11 first
No complaints with 8 Pro updates this year...

First off. Don't listen to YouTubers, and influencers, I think I would poke someone in the eye of they told me that's what they did for a job..
OnePlus absolutely smashes the other OEM's in regards to updates, Huawei, old HTC, Sammy, LG, Sony, sorry but none of them come close .
Pixel? Sure that's the source, but the shortcomings Vs pixel on the OnePlus, it makes up for with a bigger battery and IMHO a better Dev community and a course matched beta program.
You can't go wrong with OnePlus tbh.

Based on this report your claims have no foundations to stand on. Oneplus released 12 updates since the phone launched but most of them were minor updates and fixed nothing. Only one major update. I would not classify that in the "smashing other OEMs" category.

12 updates in 6 months is pretty good stats. Small or not. I have had all other brands and came back to OnePlus (I had the 6T as well). Even stock, it is a great OS. But, everyone has their own opinion.

No foundations? Perhaps the fact that OnePlus actually release stable OS' in a timely manner with very little need to change anything, OOS is an extremely stable and fast skin for Android..very light too.
Security update comes out OnePlus gets it... new OS in development, we get it early.....to what OEM are you referring?
Huawei does not offer this speed nor does it offer a beta program like this, Samsung didn't either if memory serves, Sony was pitiful and splintered (as was Huawei (due to device variants /regions) LG (do people still buy these types of phones? Motorola (budget phone not in the same league)
I've had a lot of phones so I have some experience here, this is a public forum, you can take my advice or you can move on, what I won't do is try to convince you against something you appear to have an agenda towards, personally I can say without prejudice or bias that the OnePlus 8 pro is the best phone on the market right now, very few people would argue that point.
Updates are on point, end of story.
A good OEM won't release huge updates because they have nothing to fix, meaning it was done right the first time, a bad OEM will do the opposite, like Samsung releasing a £1500 phone with a camera that won't focus.
Oh wow just saw your end of post, you compared an android device to apple.
Oh dear.
Tell me can you Bluetooth files yet? Is apple still crippling it's OS due to an "update" ?
Don't compare any android device to apple you'll get very little sympathy here in that regard.
Samsung? Really? Exynos processor in the non US variants? And you're supporting them? Anyone who likes android or has an ounce of respect for themselves would boycott them and sign the petition to get Snapdragon in all their phones..
I wouldn't swap my OnePlus if you offered me both the iPhone XS and the ultra.
Lastly I and the absolute vast majority of people have not and do not have any issue with our OnePlus phone.
Fastest phone out not.
Battery life? I get 10 hours SOT consistently, even when gaming.
What issues are you referring to? If it's green tint (see above)
