I have read through the forms and all seems a tad confusing can anyone put this together into one post? How would I unlock this bootloader is there a summed up short version we're I don't have to read through 26 Page's I've already read through them but it would be nice to have everything in one spot so I have the right versions of stuff for this? It is unlockable on this version right?
Thanks for your help

This worked for me too with a slight modification:
Where it says "adb devices" it should really be "fastboot devices"
Being a novice, I had difficulty with the instruction: "In TWRP ensure MTP(Media Transfer Protocol) is enabled." You will select Mount from the TWRP menu
I tried but twrp is not starting and password is being asked

after you flashed twrp did you unplud it and then reboot? also what did you use to flash it. it sounds like you didnt boot into it the first time to disable it from being removed

what do you mean by unplud? Do you mean unplug?
and after installing TWRP I entered "fastboot reboot" in the cmd, the phone rebooted and then i unplugged the usb.
Reboot your phone [Power Button + Volume Down (+)]
During reboot, press and hold Volume Up (+)
That brings you into recovery. If you don't enter recovery, that mean's you will need to reflash TWRP.

yes i meant unplug like unplug the usb from the phone and then use the power button to reboot. i have noticed with phones they dont really shut down with the usb plugged in
Was having issues with my Nexus 7(2013) this morning, rebooted the device and now it gets stuck at the "Google" loading screen.
I can get into the Fastboot loader. I was able to unlock the bootloader.. I have LOCK STATE - unlocked and the unlocked lock showing up on the "Google" boot screen.
I am UNABLE to get into Recovery mode.. either by selecting "Recovery mode" in Fastboot or holding the power and vol up buttons. It just sits on the "Google" boot screen.
I have downloaded and installed the SkipSoft Android Toolkit(mskip).. very nice toolkit BTW. But no matter what I do I'm unable to start the tablet up normally or get into a Recovery mode of any kind.
I have tried to flash TWRP. I have tried to flash the stock ROM. Nothing, still sits at the Google boot screen. Since flashing the stock ROM its been 30 min and still just says "Google".
I'm open to any ideas or anything that you can think of.
Still have TWRP and fastboot access? If so, use the command line fastboot the img using
"fastboot boot <filename>.img"
Reply back; do you get to recovery?

No.. I do not get into recovery of any kind. Stock or TWRP after loading it.. just sits at the Google screen.
Quick question; what were your partition setups like? F2fs? Ext4?

What that should do is wipe internal, could have some corruption there. Try doing the command line fastboot of the recovery.img again. Those are the only few things I can think of short from exercising your warranty.

Dont think I can use the warranty.. bought it used(1 hour old) from a friend for $100.. he got it and then decided he didnt like the aspect ratio. His loss, my gain. Until now.. lol
I'll keep hacking at it.. thanks again.
Anytime! You're welcome!
So the original issue I was having was that the screen was not responding to touches. Was unable to slide the unlock button on the screen.
I was able to "Boot to Custom/Stock Recovery without Permanently Flashing it" via SkipSoft Toolkit.. and had TWRP load up. But like before it was not responding to touches.
Starting to think this thing is totally borked.. =/
I'm able to get into TWRP now.. but sits on boot animation screen now. one step forward. Going to try and reload the stock ROM again and see if that helps.
That seemed to work.. at the Welcome screen.
So if anyone else runs into something like this..
Issues:
Flakey touch screen
Stuck on Google bootup screen
Eventually stuck boot loop animation
Get SkipSoft Android Toolkit, donate a couple bucks and keep flashing anything and everything you can. Sorry I can't give you a specific order that works. I would say try the 'ALLINONE'(#8) option first and then download and flash the stock ROM. I did several things in the toolkit a few times over and over. Hopefully I'm good now, if not I will update.
Have you tried reflashing recovery via fastboot?
Exact thing happend to my n4.

@pbedard Its all about timing. What I do is I take off the back cover. Then I hold the volume down button and then hold the power button. The very first LG logo that pops up only pops up for a second so that part is a pain... But as soon as you see that first LG logo, let go of the power button and press is back down as fast as you can. If it tries to boot, immediately pull the battery and try again...

Yea.. Before the Corrupted screen is a small instance of a LG logo. You have to enter TWRP through there. When it asks to factory reset, just hit yes twice.. TWRP overwrites that recovery. Its a pain in the arse to get into it.

Hold the volume down key and have a usb cable connected to your pc and then while still holding the volume down key plug the phone in.
I had to flash twrp once in fastboot. just start fastboot in the adb folder with the twrp.img and just type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and wait. rename twrp accordingly.

Anyone get bricked from the last update (I assume January/December security updates). I tried to update my phone yesterday 1/7/2018. My phone basically downloaded everything, told me to restart, loaded into the bootloader 3 times - after i selected normal Boot, and then stopped and charging.
Pretty glad that I had 2 phones.. because I have a video of it bricking in front of my eyes. not sure if I can post links yet.
Any help would be reallly appreciated as I haven't modified anything on it...
Can you still boot into recovery?

try to wipe your data fastboot -w or with stock recovery
This video is the last time I could get the phone to turn on. The only signs of life I (saw) on the phone was the LED light when I tried to charge the phone -
after it ran out of battery.

The screen won't turn on or off. It's like the power button's broken even though it's still pressable. It should have battery though because I've been trying to turn it on with it plugged in.

You will need to side load the OTA.
You cannot unlock the boot loader unless you check OEM unlock in the developer menu.
Or, at least I have not seen it done.

OEM unlocking is ticked off. That's the issue. I've seen in some videos or posts like Chris Paton. Advising to relocate the bootloader after sideloading the beta OTA's... I followed it and now I'm in a soup.

Does your PC sees the phone when in fastboot mode?
I successfully rooted the device and until recently I wanted to unroot the device, so I uninstalled Magisk.
However, after doing so my device rebooted into a black screen and the only response I got was a vibration when I tap the right side/edge of the screen or press the power button.
I tried pressing the Power button + Volume +/-, and was able to enter recovery and fast boot mode. However, I tried wiping cache, resetting, and formatting, my phone would still reboot into the same state.
When this problem occurred I had 30% battery and I also tried MSMDownloadTool for 6T, but my computer simply does not recognize the device. My device is only two weeks old.
Any help would be appreciated.
