after you flashed twrp did you unplud it and then reboot? also what did you use to flash it. it sounds like you didnt boot into it the first time to disable it from being removed

what do you mean by unplud? Do you mean unplug?
and after installing TWRP I entered "fastboot reboot" in the cmd, the phone rebooted and then i unplugged the usb.

Reboot your phone [Power Button + Volume Down (+)]
During reboot, press and hold Volume Up (+)
That brings you into recovery. If you don't enter recovery, that mean's you will need to reflash TWRP.

I saved my pics. and music via usb in the recoverymode. I also formated all the stuff that i can via the recoverymode( format boot.... )i always did it like that and e never had a problem like that..
so after installing the rom i shut it down then i restarted the phone the nexus one logo showed up for like a half of a sec. then i entered in the same mode where you have to navigate with vol up and vol down power to select not the recoverymod.I pressed bootloader->recoverymod the logo of nexus one comes up like for a half of a secound and it wents back to the screen where i can chose the recoverymode.
so can somebody help me and tell me how i can get a new rom installed.
i really would appreciat your help

If your bootloader is unlocked, install a new recovery via fastboot.
If your bootloader isn't unlocked, passimg and re-root...
if i press fastboot the recoverymode is still not fixed and how can i check if the bootloader is unlocked ? is it the *** UNLOCKED *** at to top of the screen?
thanks for your answer.

ok i did it do i need a stock image or can i use the miui?
edit:
with miui is always stocking
You should be able to flash any ROM you choose, just be sure to follow the instructions for the ROM (they vary, so you should look at the thread for the ROM).
If it's boot looping, you're probably not following the instructions...
i updated the radio and hboot now my phone is woking thanks so mutch,

[SOLVED] Bootloop. No recovery. Bootloader locked.

================================
Solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...bootloader-locked-t3212187/page2#post63494201
================================
Hello,
This afternoon, I was preparing to flash Oxygen OS 2.1 through twrp but I wanted to make a backup first. Attempting to load up twrp by holding Vol- and Power, my OPT flashed the starting frame of the boot animation for half a second before turning off. This repeated every 5 seconds. I could still boot OOS normally at this stage.
I decided to reflash twrp so as to make the backups, but on attempting to flash it, I saw that my bootloader was locked. So into fastboot mode I went, but trying to unlock it, it did the same as trying to get into recovery. As soon as I sent the command, "fastboot oem unlock", the screen went dark, flashed the starting frame for the boot animation, and promptly when dark again.
I now can't boot up normally, nor can I enter recovery. I can access fastboot mode, but I can't seem to make any changes.
I've attempted to use this solution as well as several other similar ones with no success.
I've had my OPT since 17th of August with absolutely no signs of trouble until this afternoon.
To me, it seems like it could be a hardware issue, but I'd hope it would last more than 40 days.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what I was doing, I was going to flash different ak kernel as my wifi didn't work.
HOWEVER
I read someone suggesting if you still have bootloop after trying the qualcomm recovery tool, try booting to fastboot and use: fastboot continue
my opt booted nicely to hydrogen os and after I shut it down it no longer bootlooped and I was able to get to recovery.
I'll post this to your reddit thread too, maybe it might help somebody one day, hopefully this works for you too

Mate! that worked for me too!
However... It only seems to skip the bootloop for that power on. After power off, it returns to the boot loop. I also still can't unlock the bootloader and can't access recovery.
But at least it can boot into OS with fastboot continue!
Thank you.
Weird, after the first successful boot I rebooted and a chinese menu prompted me if I wanted to unlock the bootloader, and I did.
Maybe you should try different recovery packages.
But I'm glad to hear you at least got past the boot loop

Nono I mean different qualcomm recovery packages, the ones with MSM8994DownloadTool, I also replaced the stock recovery in the qualcomm package with twrp just in case if that matters

Ahh, do you mind linking me to the one you used?
I think I used this: https://mega.nz/#!EsNQHKab!ifATzg4rxxBniPad0iyxANqlN8cZpUx2MVWaZgEhrD4
but it might have also been this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B14IjYN3PtxcSlJ5aGQxX3JERHM/view?usp=sharing
It's also worth mentioning I flashed both a few times before I tried the fastboot continue command so try both a few times and see if that helps, also I replaced the stock recovery with twrp in both recovery packages before flashing.
Edit: And best of luck, I'm rather confident your OPT is going to work properly again.
Boot Loop
I got the same problem.
Phone is rooted and i can't unlock it in cmd, just reboot itself when i try it.
The only way for me to even start the OPT is to (volume+ and power), to get to fastboot mode, then run "fastboot continue" twice in cmd.
If i reboot the phone it get cought in a boot loop where i can see the logo, reboots about every 2 sec.
Is there a solution for this? I've been searching 2 for two days now.
I don't care if i have to reset the entire phone.

I finally got my OPT working again, tried Qualcomm recovery tool, wasn't able to complete the "MSM8994DownloadTool"
So i downloaded "A2001_14_A.03_150805" in a guide from technobuzz.net/unbrick-oneplus-2/
A similar but it does a entire wipe of the phone, nothing left at all. WARNING!
But i was okey with it.
Well the phone was in Chinese when it was all done but to change language was no problem.
I finally managed to solve it on mine. I had been cautious over the past weeks to not let it run out of battery or get turned off while away from my computer as
Code:
fastboot continue
was the only way I could get past the boot loop.
My core issue to solve was that I couldn't get it recognised as the USB Diagnostic 9006 under Ports in Device Manager. I installed the driver from here manually by right clicking the /qcser/x64/qcser.inf file and selecting install from the context menu. Then, I powered off my OP2. While only holding Vol+ (not power or Vol-), I plugged in my OP2 to the computer and it was finally recognised as the 9006. Then using the recovery tool from the prior link, it installed and rebooted my OP2. The moment of truth was when it rebooted and didn't enter a boot loop!
Then with the Chinese recovery prompt, I selected the top/first option and it brought me to the welcome/first setup screen of OOS.
It wiped the internal memory, and installed OSS 2.0.2 (don't know if coincidence or not as that was my prior OS as well). Now to install twrp and update to the latest OOS hopefully without a hitch.
Happy to finally know it wasn't a hardware issue like a failed eeprom or a dud nand controller as my prior phone (Samsung Note 10.1) died to a failed nand controller as well.
Will update with news of twrp and OOS, but I feel that should go smoothly now. Thanks to the others that helped in this thread too!
Yeap, all good!
Flashed official twrp through fastboot and batch installed OOS2 through 2.1.1 patches and SuperSU. Everything working like new!
Phew.

This worked for me too with a slight modification:
Where it says "adb devices" it should really be "fastboot devices"
Being a novice, I had difficulty with the instruction: "In TWRP ensure MTP(Media Transfer Protocol) is enabled." You will select Mount from the TWRP menu
I tried but twrp is not starting and password is being asked

P9Lite suck at error mode Func NO: 11 (recovery image)

Hello
My phone is P9Lite L31C185B360
I have rooted my phone (p with twrp. (unlocked bootloader).
Then I installed new android version 7.2. But i got a blank screen. so I tried to revert back to stock image so i flashed system.img,... using TWRP. Booted but same black screen. At that moment I tried to lock the bootloader again (worst minute of my life). Unlock was successfull (using fastboot). After locking, phone restarted and I got stuck with this "ERROR MODE" Attention Please update system again. Error Func NO: 11 (recovery image)
Error NO: 3 (load failed!)
I tried pressing the 3 buttons but i always get the same screen. Phone screen wont turn off, and whatever I do i end up with the error mode screen. I plugged it in USB but no sign of life (windows doesnt make a sound when i connect it and reboot).
Anoter thing, when i get this error mode, phone blinks 3 times in green then one time in red. (maybe it helps)
Please help me :'( .. I will be going in a trip with my wife (just married) and I wanna take pics with it
BR,
Alaa.
Hi,
-Power off your phone
-plug your usb cable on your phone and pc
Your phone boot on warning screen?
After a charging screen appears?
And after a black screen?
Just after the warning screen, launch this ADB command (many time):
fastboot reboot bootloader
Your phone reboot on bootloader?
If yes, unlock it with "fastboot oem unlock YOUR_CODE"
After that, follow steps HERE
Good luck

Now just another thing, I tried flashing the android 7.2. I installed twrp + unlock bootloader + flash the file vendor.img + flash file pa_venus-7.2.2-DEV-20170807 + gapps. All went OK, but when i boot phone i only get a black screen can yo help me with this please ?
I don't know venus rom.
Actually i have a EliteRom and is very stable and optimized. I recommended it.
But if you need your venus rom, try to make a factory reset or format data partition.
If not boot after that, post your request directly on the Venus rom thread.

No filemanager include on this rom.
Try "root explorer" by "speed software" it's the best for me but not free..
Or "es file explorer" by "es global", it's free (with ads) but interface is to dark and little for me.
Or find official file explorer for cyanogen rom but it's possible not detect the root or just not work..
Additionally try "rar" by "rarlab" for unpack a lot of archives format.
Edit: root explorer, es file manager and rar is on play store

Phone in bootloop, cant access recovery

Hi guys,
this is my first x compact. I unlocked the bootloader per sony's instructions on their site + what I read here.
I flashed twrp, booted to recovery, and wiped and installed the lineage 16.0 which is stickied.
Everything worked great but various rootcheckers said still not rooted. This bothered me.
I followed the thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/stock-8-0-root-recovery-t3747479).
I used flashtool to flash stock oreo. After that, bootloops. And can't access recovery.
I can still enter flash mode and fastboot mode, but using the CMD in platform-tools, phone not recognized.
There must be something I can do? Thank you.

Hi friend, please maybe you can help me. I have almost the same issue. But after using LineageOS for some days, my phone stuck in boot logo. I managed to use Flash Tool to flash latest original stock ROM (Customized IBE). Strangely the flash process ended OK, but the phone still stuck in boot logo. I'm only able to force shut down with Volumen Up+Power Off (3 vibrates). Not possible to enter Recovery Mode.
I'm 98% sure that I have flashed with check in wipe USERDATE and also in CUST-RESET. But I wanted to try again, and now Im not able to enter flashmode. Phone gets green light, when volume down, but Flashstool is not recognizing the phone.
Thanks in advance

yes, after hard work to install drivers, I managed to get the phone to be recognized by Flashtool in fastboot mode. But the phone is not charging when turned off, and its not rebooting. I wanted to try again with stock ROM, since I got some battery issues with LineageOS (phone turned off while playing some games, and worked fine while doing the same with usb cable charging to laptop or AC charger.)
But I cannot do anything right now. Only fastboot mode and force restart works, but it stuck in Sony logo (after normal bootloader unlock 5 seconds warning). What can I do?
