I don't have a moto mod yet, I'm waiting until the keyboard mod will be shipped in August. I just got my Moto Z but I'd like to already use a compatible custom ROM. I'd just like to be prepared when the keyboard mod arrives.

I legit have no way of testing it to make sure it works if it hasn't come out yet [emoji6] .
Should be a basic fix anyway.

Sorry, I assumed that all moto mods run on the same platform/driver, so that when one moto mod is working with it, all (future) moto mods should be supported.
Apparently that's not the case, but glad to hear it would be a basic fix.
i cant go in the web site and this rom support jbl mod ?
no jbl speaker mod dont work
I'll get those mod changes merged in soon enough.

Can you try this again for me as I successfully downloaded the latest version.

I merged in the battery mod changes. Efficiency mode works as expected. One thing I've noticed is battery stats will show the phone is awake a significant amount of the time. Snapchat/camera apps no longer force close. I believe whenever the charge state is changed from the mod the kernel throws a wakelock that the framework interprets as "wake up."
Most likely will not have the speaker mod working right away as I'm redoing the audio policy and have nothing to test it with. I pushed a change to fix speaker audio using the backend (as originally intended). Mod zip it's included by default from now on.
Let me know if you have any other issues.

You need to flash an su add-on in recovery.
E.g. Supersu, magisk, lineages.
Sent from my XT1650-03 using Tapatalk
It would be be better prerooted.
When I do flash Supersu, magisk it ends up deleting imei information on Moto Z.

Cybertronic Kernel v5 - 4/23/2014
Sync-up Kernel to 3.4.82 (from 3.4.39)
Samsung clean-up and debug removal (They leave tons of factory-only, test-only debug code on)
Config optimization
Cache read-ahead optimized
More free RAM (1760MB Stock, now 1830MB)
Compiled with latest 4.8 Android toolchain (better ARM optimizations for Cortex-A15)
Caveats:
Secure storage is disabled
Only signed Samsung kernels can have this enabled. Keys/Wifi passwords, etc. Are still stored in the secure Android key-chain,
they are just not stored in TrustZone hardware. If this is critical for you, stick with the stock Samsung kernels.
In Progress...:
- ARM HMP (This will allow all 8 cores to be online at once) Porting it in will be a challenge, since it was introduced in the
3.11 kernel branch. I'm hoping the next release from Samsung bumps up the version, so it will be easier. I'll work on it in
in the meantime though.
- Merge-in ADF from Android mainline.
- Merge in anything neat from S5
Install TWRP Recovery first:
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/picassowifi
Download and install in TWRP Recovery, or use Flashify:
MOD EDIT: Link Removed as per no kernel source as per XDA Rules, and no reply from Author of said kernel.
[RESERVED]
Works well so far. Features list will be nice
Dont want to look at purely benchmarks but seems fluid.

You'll never brick your device from a kernel. It doesn't overwrite the bootloader or recovery. So you can always go back to stock, even if the kernel doesn't boot.
Anyhow.... I'm only looking for testers, who have experience. This isn't a public kernel yet, which is why the limited info. So please, calm down.
People have had good results testing so far, so I'll be releasing full details and the public file soon.
Thanks

No worries I'm not building up a rage or something like that
It was meant as a figure of speech since we now nothing
I just think it might attract more testers if we know more about what we are testing.
Is it optimized in general or is it meant for speed(oc'ing) or adds it extra functionalities to the kernel? something like that.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your official release, and thank you for your time and effort you put into it for us Tab PRO users :good:
Does it mean we can also expect some roms for t520
i must say i have had quite the share of flashing, reflashing, and modifyting my however limited selection of android devices. Never bricked and item yet. I would love to test your kernel and give it my honest opinion.
Since its a testing thing, feel free to PM me deetails
Would love to try this, but how to get TWRP on SM-T520?
Found these recovery images for (I guess) our device, how to install these? Odin? http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/picassowifi
Edit: I can confirm that flashing TWRP from rooted SM-T520 works with Flashify. Flashify finds and downloads correct TWRP2.7.0.1.

You need TWRP first, with which you can make a backup of System to preserve the current kernel.
Running with the kernel now. Seems to be in order, but cannot tell of any advantages that are noticable.
Just flashed it, can't really notice much difference, but will give it some time and report back

This ROM was an official release I found it on the internet and suggested it to many after testing. I'm on 2.2 Blisspop Unofficial if you's want link let me know as I have uploaded already it's stable for me odd bug is clear all recents fab sometimes doesn't show up also it has Chinese bloat which is removable but on reboot comes back.
There's no official release for Yuga that I can find on the Blisspop website. Where is this from?
Edit - Also, if you're uploading and sharing roms, then you should provide source in whichever format is easiest for you (a tarball/repo link etc) in order to comply with the GPL. Please do so.

BTW the apps are removable I think there is like 5 Chinese apps the ROM is fully English etc... Apart from the few apps just get titanium and freeze them so they don't come back on reboot I have had 0 issues and it works fast as hell
http://roms.blog.163.com/blog/static/20685312620152175125386/
That looks shady as you can get. It's not an official rom by a device maintainer, it has Chinese bloatware that apparently reappears even if you remove it and there's no source available, which is an absolute requirement when any custom kernel is distributed.
No way would I flash that on my device as who knows what else is preloaded that isn't as obvious as the bloatware.
Sent from my C6603
2.2 is unofficial
But for me ROM is perfect no issues bloat I just frozen with titanium.
As for bloat it's a Chinese app store, baidu and some other things. And still works flawless.
2.1 apparently was official which was named official on the ROMs zip.
Noticeable difference from 2.1 & 2.2 isn't much tbh 2.2 has music visualisation on lock screen. Themes work better as sources will be more updated and smart control
If people want to test 2.2 I have link flash at your own will.
I have had no issues been using over 1week now and I have xposed installed with it for flat style coloured bars.
Selinux is set to enforcing by default I have an app to change it as I have a few apps that need Selinux set to permissive.
Screen shots
For the third time: Where is the kernel source?
It 100% must be provided, or the terms of the GPL are being broken. "So what?" you may say. Without the Linux/Android kernel being open source and everyone playing fair and providing sources, then none of the custom roms you like flashing and tinkering with would even exist.
If sources aren't provided along with the rom in any format (even a link to where they're provided), then you shouldn't link the rom here as it isn't fair to the developers that do comply with the license correctly.

Hello and welcome to Fusion rom!
Hi there, I'm the official maintainer for your device and I'll be updating this ROM on behalf of the Fusion team.
So lets get started!
Our android based project started out as a private project for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Now a few years later we've gained much more experience and are proud to release it to the public.
Fusion rom is based on Android Lollipop and is built for a more user friendly environment and many fixes and improvements to the source code.
This results in a fast, battery friendly rom for your phone including many features for everybody to enjoy and customize the rom to their own likings.
This is not a single person project.
It's the work of many different people spending time to make Android better.
Downloads, screenshots, installation instructions and so on can be found on our website: http://fusion-rom.net/
Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/FusionR0M!
If you like Fusion you can help us paying the monthly fee for hosting and so on (donation link on website).
For all people who want private support
Please consider using the contact page on our homepage or writing directly to [email protected] rather than sending PMs.

I might be wrong but I believe an official is recognized by the devs of the rom and supports ota while unofficial does not support ota. Like I said I could be wrong. For an example look at cm12.1 linuxxx's version is official and supports ota while bitti's and kundankools has to be downloaded from a file server manually. Also it could be no cherry picked features are added to the rom. It is the exact same as the rom they developed. No more no less for the most part

@krcovsky Yes why drag @i snort flour into it ?
Will be following this rom closely to see how things develop
del
@krcovsky I thought there was a real reason behind it. Otherwise wouldn't have bothered asking
screen shots please
SlyUk he also explained why it is official in red text in the op. I was on break at work and didn't have all that much time to read it. He says he is the official maintainer for this rom on behalf of the fusion team which is was one of the points I was trying to establish but reading my post I see I didn't do that like I was intending to and wasn't very clear about it when i edited that last sentence in there. I was running out of time on my break, plus my signal was bad giving me slow internet and just got side tracked in my thinking a bit. However the points I made beside that I believe are still relevant to your question also.

Possible to get a vs985 version? Very hard to find anything for Verizon's release, we're rooted with recovery, unsure why so little development for this model? Any thoughts would be appreciated? Thanks!!

Please see the section in the OP, About MoKee Rom (http://www.mokeedev.com/en/about/) and its link. As far as why there may be limited ROMs for your device, that is almost always related to either insuffcient demand because there are few devices in the marketplace, or because of the difficulty in producing ROMS for that device. I do not know why there are few ROMs for the vs985, but to ask the V500 maintainer for a ROM to support a different device is not appropriate. Thank you for your understanding.

Understanding? What sort of response is, it's not appropriate? Thought these threads were specifically for questions? A polite response of he only develops for the V500 would have been much appreciated, I understand that, but for you to feel that you need to "smack" my hand for asking a very simple polite question is bordering on ridiculous! Are we dealing with IBM? Is there a certain protocol that's set in order to get a polite answer? If so maybe put that in the thread? I've been flashing ROMs since 2009 and in all the forums that I have/do contribute to this is the first time I've been scolded? I'll move along as I don't feel the need to be in a thread that feels as militant as this, I hope this doesn't reflect the attitude of the developer. Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day.

You probably put your question in the wrong section.
Well, you still have a small internship in this forum.
This thread is more suitable for you: MoKee for Verizon LG G3.
I do not feel up to it, to have a discussion on any topic.
Please, read the xda forum rules.
There is nothing about when the OP has to answer in the thread, but it is written on how to ask questions and how to conduct the discussion ( 15. Keep threads/posts on-topic ).
I can help users in MoKee cases for LG G Pad 8.3,
so please discuss only about the topic.
"to ask the V500 maintainer for a ROM to support a different device is not appropriate" is not any scolding.
Try to empathize with the traditions of the forum and do not be offended when someone tries to help you.

- Compare md5sum at the ROM.zip location and on the server.
- Try to flash the first build.
- Wipe partitions: system, dalvik, cache, date.
- Use the latest version of TWRP.
And in general, always write what you did before.
Nobody knows that except you.
Is this one a better choice than AOSP?
