Adjust brightness using MTweaks or Kernel author - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi there,
I wonder if we can adjust minimum or maximum brightness using MTweaks or any kernel authors?
If yes, where?
Thanks,

SetCPU

What kind of settings are you guys using for SetCPU? What profiles, voltages, speeds, etc?

Right now SETCPU is kinda of unlessc Whatever profile you make will be taken over by Project butter AKA Googles Powerhal. Setcpu will only really help you if you are using Faux123 kernel but then you might has well support faux and buy his app since it will give you voltage control and color settings. I do not think setcpu gives you voltage control with faux123 kernel but i am not 100% sure about that. I am sure down the road setcpu will play a bigger role once kernels start to change more and give you more options.

I underclocked. It gives me more battery life. Max @918mhz.

I noticed that if I just look at the stats of setCPU (without changing any stock settings) then the phone jumps between 384 MHz to 1584 MHz just by breathing on the screen... and that's not an exaggeration...

another kernel

Hii all
Am running Franco kernel and its pretty good
But I was just wondering if there was a kernel which offers a lower clock speed like in Matr1x but also offers the ability to adjust gama colors like in franco ???
Thnxxx
Well, you could try faux, but I think you'll have to pay again for an app like Trickster Mod to be able to control color and gamma settings.
Wait, doesn't franco give you the option to choose a lower clock speed as well?

384Mhz is the lowest on f.k. For matr1x, it's 192MHz?

Oh yeah. I mistaken Franco with other kernels. Too many to keep them all in mind
Hii
Thnx for the replies I just tried fuax and no it doesn't offer a lower minimum clock speed it gives 384000
Update : I tried the turbo fuax kernel and it offered a 162000 clock speed but no gama settings !!

matr1x have gamma colors. I use PA constrasty. You need an app also Tricster MOD.

[Q] Is there a way to increase the brightness of G2?

any mod of some sort or something?

As far as I know its not possible, its really bright on 100% as it is. Some of the percieved darkness might be due to the color calibration by LG.
Some custom roms/kernels support change the color calibration.
Install Lux app from Google Play store. It's awesome auto brightness app!

I'm not sure if this is what you have in mind, but this app lets you adjust the watch's brightness using either your phone or the app on the watch.

Cool man. The developer has an XDA thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-wear/development/app-swapp-true-dark-wear-t2977161
He would probably appreciate any feedback.

Auto brightness with root

Now that root is available, is it possible to increase the brightness level with auto brightness enabled? Thanks
P. S. I don't want to use lux or any other overlaying apps!
Bump
Only a new kernel will correct this

Oh ok thanks ?
You can't make the brightness higher than what the hardware allows....
You can use LUX from the Play store, it overrides the auto brightness of the device.

There is also free lite version.

He probably doesn't intend to go above 100% but what he wants is to get more brightness in lower lightning conditions. You can manually calibrate those settings on CM based ROMs and some others.

I missed this line sorry (on mobile)... just wanted to help...
@op - you're talking about what the g2 use to be able to do right? You could have auto selected but still move the slider? Wish we could do that.

I've always remember the G2 being able to slide the slider but it never really affected the auto brightness.

Some models can. With the Verizon G4, there is Auto, but you can still move the slider, to bias Auto to be brighter or dimmer. Auto stays enabled when you do this.

Wonder where the option is if it's in the build prop?
