Have a look at here, it's been discussed already: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/battery-capacity-t3591815
Ps: please rename your thread title to something more specific like " battery capacity"

it's annoying that you can not use sd card when the remained power comes less than 10%!
you know on wizard you can use SD function even there is only 1% power!
does anybody know how to modify the registry to resolve this?
thanks!
You should not be using the phone when the power is this low. The Universal needs more power than the Wizard, it has a different processor and hardware and therefore different needs.
The power consumption of your SD is always a factor and that differs depending on your capacity and brand. Why you were using the phone at 1% battery is beyond me. I do not recommend stressing it this much. Just my 2c.
Either way there is key in HKLM\Software\Drivers\VPD where the message is shown but I wasn't able to find any place to change a setting.
at least, writing an SD card needs more power...
Dear,
thanks for your reply....yes 10% mean very low power.
but if possible i would like to change the number to 2% or 3%...cause i'm using a 3200 battery.
Ahhhh I see now. I'll try and find something... will post if I do.

Jesus, i was just reading the first link and its says that:
"A lithium-ion battery provides 300-500 discharge/charge cycles"
is this true, if so then my battery will be kaput after a year?
on an average, it will last for almost 2 years, if used properly(like u shud nt fully drain the battery)

In my case, 1 year is acceptable. after one year, you can buy a new one or maybe you would change your mobile phone.

Dear Joan,
Thanks for your links! it's really interesting. after read it, i realize it doesn't make any sense to change the number.
Coz I'm using a 3400 nickel battery and a 1600 Lion battery. for the 3400 battery, I only need to discharge and fully charge it
once every 1-3 month!
Glad I could help

how is "Fix for battery life ---- test" the same as using a battery from a different phone???
It's not good to use a battery that's made for something else. It can cause problems and ultimately break your phone.
Also, as stated above, it's discussed. Look in the accesoire thread for more info too. But I wouldn't count on a battery that is better than the stock one. Weirdly enough, I have never bought a battery that isn't stock and worked better of at the same quality as the stock battery. (and I bought some in the past).
This came up to my mind just now, after all this time, but I'm not certain it is causing the problem since I haven't tried it out (like I said, came to my mind just now,) There is a poll up there, if you are suffering from battery drain please say so.
So here we go.. my phone XX with the latest poison rom is experiencing a weird battery drain that doesn't seem to get fixed by doing anything. I recently stumbled upon an article, about the problems of cutting your SIM card. Well, I did cut my SIM card instead of buying a new one. According to the article, the problematic SIM card could lead to battery drainage. This is my last guess, I don't know how to explain it otherwise. What are your thoughts on this people?
If you are experiencing a battery drain, is your SIM card cut or brand new?
i`ve got battery drain on stock rom (7.1.1) and my sim card is brand new.

But the phone was brand new and the drainage existed, why would I replace the battery?

That is very dissapointing. Sony releasing faulty devices, so it's 50/50 if you get a poor battery or a display with backlight bleed. Maybe that's why they discontinued it.
i found out that logd causes the battery drain, renaming (and disabling it) in TWRP made it much better...

This might help a little. Look for these lines in your build.prop:
ro.core_ctl_min_cpu=2
ro.core_ctl_max_cpu=4
Change the value of he first line to 1. It's set to run on 2 cores minimum. If the lines aren't there, try adding at least the first set to 1.
Edit: it actually sounds like you may have a battery problem or another problem with your device. Might want to try to get it replaced.
I have looked on Google and found a few things but none lead to edit the battery capacity. There is a capacity file but it is for percentage. I have a 4200 but always shows 3200 in apps. If I can change file maybe the phone will act as if I actually have an upgraded battery, or am I just thinking in left field?

I need or would like to set the reading so that system/ all apps can read as the 4200 or what ever is needed to be entered for value from batteries. A file edit. Any app that I have seen reads from system and not the battery itself by default.

Well I found it, /Sys/Class/lge_power/lge_batt_id/batt_capacity.
Now if only able to get the currently being used battery's profile somehow
