it's been discussed before, it's physically imposibble. Please search the forum before.

how is "Fix for battery life ---- test" the same as using a battery from a different phone???

It's not good to use a battery that's made for something else. It can cause problems and ultimately break your phone.
Also, as stated above, it's discussed. Look in the accesoire thread for more info too. But I wouldn't count on a battery that is better than the stock one. Weirdly enough, I have never bought a battery that isn't stock and worked better of at the same quality as the stock battery. (and I bought some in the past).

If you PM a Mod maybe they could move this to the right forum and you'll get someone who wants to answer.
Just an idea.

You Sir, have the correct answer.
Many kernals do not support extended batteries.
Hastarin's r7.x has versions that do support them.
On that note, Hastarin's kernals are highly recommended in most of the android build threads.
i have the 2300 mah battery and try to find desire stock rom that works....
the only roms that work are with hastarin 7.7 with robot voice issues and custom
sense i dont like.....
does enyone know a way to make the stock desire rom to work with 2300 mah battery ?

battery drain while extremly ovderclocked hd2

hi, i could not find any similiar thread, so i decided to start a new one:
some freaky guys here are overclocking their hd2 to 1400-1500mhz
my question is: how does this effect battery drain? has anyone tested some variations? maybe i'm going to test it by myself, but i thought someone wants to share his experience.
thx in advance.
Get a spare battery , it will give ya all the battery/performance headroom u ever wanted , compared to streesing what not to do to not drain ur only battery or ur screwd for the day

Agreed spare battery is best, they are small enough to carry on your body.

well thx for your answers. but my question was, if someone tested the differences between cpu clocks and battery drain. maybe my english isn't good enough to make clear what i am asking for
I like running my HD2 in Android @ 1497 MHz...

Doesn't it get too hot? I never thought of OCing my HD2. Is it worth the trouble?

How to know if my battery's going bad?

Hi, I don't know if this is the right subforum, but I'm using Android though. is there anyway to know if my battery is no longer in its maximum capacity? I'm asking this because it seems my battery goes down faster than usual. If batterylife widget says my battery condition is good, does it mean that my battery is still, well, good?
...anyone?
your battery is perfect with 4200-4260 mA when fully charged. 4100-4200 mA is still good i'd say.
you can check out mA values with e.g. "battery watch"

so, if mA values is bigger than usual, can i say that my battery is deteriorating?
well you usually dont get higher but if you do, its even better

ah, maybe you mean the volt. what I mean is the mA drain. it's higher than usual, so it's not good.
oh oops i meant mV
mhhh i dont think a broken battery drains more mA

[Q] Buying an extended battery?

Hey guys
I'm getting my Desire Z at the end of this week, and was wondering about the battery life. After browsing various threads, it seems you can somewhat sort it out by tweaking it. I'd rather not do that, as I'm not that advanced.
I was thinking after seeing how I fare with the Desire Z, getting an extended battery like the Mugen Power 1800mAh Extended battery $44.95. I wouldn't want one that needs to make the phone any bigger than it is.
Also I'm not totally savvy on the prices, but is that a decent price for a battery like that?
Any advice would be extremely appreciated, thanks!
(PS, it would need to be compatible with my UK charger, not sure if that changes anything)

It has the same size with the stock battery unless you'll buy the 3600 mAh, performance?? Ill give 10/10. Its worth the price and worth the wait, I never seen anyone who had a complaint about their mugen battery my stock batt runs for 7hours per full charge light-moderate use now my mugen last 11-16hours light-moderate use. It doubles my stock battery life span so here's my Mugen 1800 mAh review.

Agreed...
I too have been looking at a better battery and also heard that atleast for the g2, that the evo 4g battery may also work and on amazon they had 2 batts and charger for 40 bucks but you should look and read in the g2/desire accessories forum first.

No need to create a new thread when there are already THREE open threads in accessories that discuss everything you could possible want to know about the G2/Desire Z and battery consumption:

Yeah you should, I changed mine months ago and still working fine, you gets about 17% more battery use.
The cost is about 20$, or shouldn't be over 40 $
Its not really all that much, but it IS something There's not much juice to go around from the start, so all improvements should be noteable. You could probably see the same result with reduced screen brightness or maybe a deep sleep setup. Or, you could do all 3
hey there,
