I formatted the phone and my connection was very bad. The cellular network could not be found in the closed areas. 3g is very distressing. I think Esf is broken. Anybody knows how to fix it. where is find stock rom.

Hi!
I have this problem with WM5 ROMs and also with WM6 ROMs.
At my university, main building, in hannover/germany my data connection freezes
after some time, when i am in 3G. In GSM this doesn't happen.
I called my provider some time ago and they told me that it should work but they are working on something. It doesn't work. I will call them again. But has anyone similar experience with that issue? Is there a program to find out what's happening?
greetings
Mac
Hi all,
In December, the LTE signal on my I337 went to crap in my area, specifically in my home for some reason, but overall in the area (Dayton, OH) it's dropped a lot. I was on CM11 at the time and now I am on Carbon and there's no difference. I have to turn off LTE to have a reliable signal.
I was wondering if there was any way to access the service menu and check the modem settings (I've looked around and can't find any codes that work) or if there's something else I should be checking. I've even gone out and swapped out for a new SIM card, made no difference.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am 99.9% sure it's your carrier causing the problem, not your phone.I doubt there is anything you can do about it.

I too had noticed a drop in signal when i switched to a custom rom..Im now on cm10.2 and I rarely have more than 2 bars.. i guess its worth the sacrifice since I dont have to look at TW anymore..
Hello gents,
before you dismiss yet another S4 WiFi issue related post, keep in mind I am a Network Administrator for a living. What I do know well is wireless, what I don't is why my and many other's S4s are plagued with the WiFi issue.
If one is to search Galaxy S4 wifi problems, you will find a whack load of results with basic answers that don't resolve the issue. I am one of the lucky owners of a I337m Galaxy S4 that is a perfect phone, except the WiFi is absolute wonkers. My S4 is extremely inconsistent with being able to connect to 2.4Ghz networks, though 5Ghz is fine. I have attached a gif as an example of what occurs, though the signal is strong it refuses to connect instantly or gives "authentication error". There are good days, there are bad, but mostly bad.
I even gone as far as taking the phone apart and replacing the WiFi antenna with an external modified version, trust me it is NOT an antenna issue. I came across a youtube video of a fella with an i9505 who claimed to be able to fix the wifi issue by changing the baseband. This I would love to try though as far as I know there is only one baseband for the Canadian S4 if I read the forum posts correctly. At&t has a few which I wouldn't mind trying, but is it possible to flash the baseband from Bell to At&t (i337m to i337)? Would that even affect the Wireless functionality in the phone, or is it purely for the cellular network?
Hello,
I am experiencing a network drop from 4g to 2g in a lot of buildings, why is that? I am not in a basement and my colleagues have no network problems and some of them are even on the same carrier as I am. It also happens in some rural areas, again when there should be a better signal. Any thoughts?
Also, could it have something to do with the fact that the phone is from USA and I am using it in Europe?
Experimenting with radio firmware and new sim card.
I'm experiencing the same problem. My carrier is Virgin Mobile Canada (I'm in Montreal).
It looks like this is a reoccurring problem with the 6P. There have been lots of posts about similar issues in the xda forums.
This thread talks about hardware problems with the radio IC and some folks seems to have found technicians that can repair it.
In this thread some people are talking about APN settings and perhaps a new sim card with updated APN information (which is what I will try next).
Finally in this thread folks talk about installing earlier radio firmware. Some say radio 3.85 works better and others say radio 3.72 or 3.74.
I'm experiencing this problem on radio 3.88 and I've installed an older stock image with radio 3.87 but no luck. Still had the same problem. If the new sim card does not solves my problem I will try flashing radio 3.85.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any progress.
What's with this phone and intermittent network connectivity issues? Network signal keeps coming and going.
Phone is on Omni ROM Nougat.
Further information can be seen in attached pic.
I tried changing baseband but it didn't work. It's stuck at ATHENE_LATAM_CUST.
I put scotch tape on the back of the SIM to provide better contact with the pins but didn't work.
Anything else I could try?
