My S7 Edge doesn't wirelessly charge after the most recent update. Any idea why or how to fix it?
I have the same issue. Followed all the suggestions and so far no luck. Anyone?

Hello, recently I've had a problem where I can't charge my verizon galaxy s5. It's been rooted for a while now (about 7 months) and one day it just stopped charging. I assumed it might be the rom, so i switched to a different one. This didn't fix the problem so I decided to back to factory default. This didn't fix the problem either and I have no idea what the issue is. The battery works just fine because I can charge it on my friends gs5. Also around the same time as it stopped charging, the vibration mode on the phone no longer seems to work. This wasn't fixed by the switching of roms either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Time for a trip to the Sprint store. They may tell you factory reset as part of the diagnostic procedure.

...it's a bit overkill, IMO, you'd hope the "experts" knew how to fix things in a more precise manner, but it does often get the job done and does eliminate other possibilities before pointing to the device having an actual failure. Also, recovering from a factory reset is nowhere near as tedious as it used to be.
LOL at the idea that the people who work at your local Sprint store are "experts."
I have done that and I wiped my cache... nothing
Mine didn't work either. Download Ampere and see what kind of charge your phone is receiving. In the mean time regular charging does seem to work as normal so just disable fast charging. Mine started working after a few reboots. Don't think I had to factory reset.
My father-in-law had the same issue. Try plugging in you fast charger, ensure it is fast charging, then unplug and try to do it wirelessly. Also try unplugging the USB portion of your charger from the wall outlet portion and plug it back in. May not work, but it is an easy check.
I tried both and I don't have a wireless Charger. I went to the Sprint store to buy a new charger and that didn't work either so it's not my charger but I guess I'm going to try and buy a wireless charger to see if maybe it's my charger port. This really sucks and my phone is always dead and it takes 6 to 8 hours to charge every day. And the people at the Sprint store or not any help!!!!
@Ebbygirl08 Have you tried a factory reset? Will they not replace it?

Yes I factory reset it and I got it unlocked so Idk if it they will exchange it now...
I have the same issue except it my fast charging stopped working prior to updates. Anyone with possible fixes?
I had this issue on both my S6, a brand new S6 and now a brand new S7 after the May updates. My only suggestion from the Sprint store is that they want to give me another S7 and just turn off updates. No other solution at this time from what I have seen.
I did notice that when you go into Status and look at battery, it says it is charging USB instead of AC even though I have it plugged in to the fast charger in the wall. I believe this is the root cause of the problem but no idea how to fix it. My wife has an S7 and she has not done the updates yet and she is fine.

I also forgot to mention, factory resets does nothing. Different fast chargers, both at home and at the Sprint store do nothing. Fast charging is turned on in battery settings.
Hi, just got my new Nexus 6P right out of the box, charged it and set it up.
I had some OTA updates waiting to be installed and 1 of them was upgrading to Nougat.
Since the update I'm having SERIOUS trouble when it comes to charging my phone.
No wall charger works, tried plugging it into the PC, charges for about 30 seconds and stops.
Tried charging via a power bank, worked for about a minute or two and I'm back to square one.
Battery continues draining in the meantime. I'm feeling pretty helpless and hope some of you have more experience to troubleshoot that issue.
Things I tried -
1. Restart
2. Clearing cache
3. Factory reset (Unfortunately, still nougat)
I did think about flashing the previous rom but I can't connect it to the PC and I'm at about 10%.
Would REALLY appreciate any help.
Thank you,
B1T3X.

check if your PC recognize it when it is on fastboot mode or recovery mode
then try to flash new factory image
:good:
Hey guys, I see there are similar threads but those do not fit my situation. I manually pushed the update (most recent developer preview, after I/o) and my 6p will no longer charge. It also isn't recognized by my PC unless it is in bootloader mode. I tried clearing cache, and reverting back to N. With no luck. Now my battery is completely dead and I can't do anything.
I'm thinking of ordering a replacement battery (hoping it has some life when I receive it) and replacing the battery and trying to troubleshoot. Any suggestions as to what I have done? Or how to fix? I feel it must be a firmware issue.

Use fastboot to flash the latest TWRP recovery, boot to recovery and charge it from there. If it won't charge from recovery, either the battery is stone dead (doesn't happen overnight) or there is a hardware issue with your USB port/daughterboard.
I do not have enough power to to even get into recovery. I'm ordering a new battery and daughter board. Unless anyone had other suggestions....?
Did you check if your USB cable works on both sides of your port ? If the port or cabel could be your issue ?
Does your charger and cabel work on other phones ?
My son's s7 edge (at&t) has a green line on the right side edge. The display only works when the phone is plugged into the charger. I have reflashed firmare, checked for updates, and have no clue. He says he didn't drop it or anything. Does anyone know what this is, and/or know how to fix this?
