I'm planning to buy Zte Axon 7 4Gb/64Gb from Alibaba. I live in India. Is it safe to buy it from that source? Will it support VoLte? Is there anybody from India who can share their experience. Please.
Hello, no problem at all. I buyed mine from BrotherGroup on Alibaba. The only thing for me it's maybe to consider to buy the 6/128 version ...
be careful, Alibaba has a lot of scam sellers that claim they are selling official, authentic products, but end up being counterfit or knockoffs when you get it.
I have had a very poor experience from them.
Research, ask around, and research some more the seller your going to buy from before doing so.

Yes Man, you can buy from Aliexpress(Alibaba). I have ordered mine and its awesome. You have to unlock bootloader and install A2017U Rom or Custom ROM, Plenty of tutorials already available in forums.
I ordered 4GB + 128GB for 370$

It is completely safe to buy from AliExpress. Despite what people say, there are plenty of decent sellers on AliExpress. I purchased my axon 7 from BROTHER GROUP, received it in 20 days and paid no custom.
If you order delivery through normal mail (the free option), there is little chance that the package will be checked by customs, however it might take up to a month or more for delivery.
if you choose DHL then the likelihood increases and you will have to pay customs but the delivery is in a week
I would suggest choose the normal mail. Customs can charge anywhere from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 10000
I bought 128gb A2017 from Ali express at Christmas. No problem. Just be aware that you'll need to update manually to b013. Then you'll receive your OTA updates.

anyone can give me suggestions?

Here you go:
https://www.ibuygou.com/p-xiaomi-re...it-octa-core-22ghz-2gb-ram-32gb-rom-6992.html
ibuygou is very expensive, at least the 16gb model. I buy this phone on geekbuying, they give you a coupon for the first order, and it cost me with free shipping 149 euros-161 USD
How reliable are either of those sites? Looking at both for shipping to the UK...
This should help: http://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-2-pro
Thanks, but I'm more interested in reviews of the various sites that sell it, and UK shipping. There's a lot of dodgy companies out there, after all.
@FloatingFatMan ibuygou is not a dodgy company. I have bought a Xiaomi Powerbank off them in the past, which was shipped from the Far East. They now offer EU Warehouse shipping for select items as well.
Also maybe of interest:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1153179
I have also purchase from this reseller in the past:
http://beexz.com/
Service was excellent.
That's the kind of answer I was hoping for. Thanks for the information. I wasn't saying they were, but there are plenty out there that are. Caveat emptor and all that.
I would only recommend sites that I know are reputable
I'd suggest geekbuying. They are original and provide discount for new users (you will get the code when you register)

Gearbest is also seems ok. Used to purchase Xiaomi powerbanks there, pretty fast and smooth, came originals.
Then there's a coolicool used to purchase Gionee Elife E7 phone. Also pretty fast and smooth. But currently they have no Redmi Note 2.
Geekbuying is also s'pposed to be ok, since many tech reviewers link to it.
You can also try coupon code "retailmenot" for 5% discount. The code is from the site with the same name.

Is the Prime version (32 GB) available yet?
There is a shop in Hong Kong selling the 16GB white model on Ebay right now, with fast shipping. I ordered two for a great price, one for me and one for my brother or to sell. Will arrive in Australia by next week, which is good because I dropped my G2 today and cracked the screen. There are 4 left!
As for me, I prefer to buy from coolicool. Because it's low price and service.
Oppomart 159$
The prime version is $ 50 more. Shipping is $30 to the USA. Some of the other sites include free shipping. I know geekbuyer has free slow shipping but fast shipping is an extra $5.
I have heard that a number of people bought Oneplus One phones from Oppomart.
Some new deals have popped up, on an Australian forum I frequent. first is for 2ghz/16gb, second is for 2.2ghz/32gb:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, 4G Phone $212.57AUD ($152.99USD) with Coupon, Free Shipping @ JD

And another good deal here, RN2 PRIME 32GB/2.2Ghz with free Silicone case+Screen Protector (if you tick the box) for $205:
http://www.vickmall.com/original-xi...-helio-x10-octa-core-5-5-inch-fhd-13-0mp.html
I think you can buy this redmi phone from geekbuying,I bought the xiaomi note phone from this shop before,it's original and they had a good customer service.
Just wondering if anyone has used eGlobalCentral UK to order the Galaxy S7 edge (G935F) non-dual sim version?
Did it come with a UK charger? Their price is fantastic but I don't want to buy it if it comes with a european charger
Please see the below post for consumer information about this web shop, tldr; they are a bunch of scamsters, they will take your money and not deliver a product!

If you're happy buying from abroad and are looking for a good price I'd stick with Gearbest. You can currently buy a OnePlus 6 from Gearbest for £330, FYI! :silly:
Hey!
I have been using Android phones for the past 4 years, starting out with the 2013 Moto G 1st Gen and then upgrading through to a OnePlus One and LG G4. I now have a Lenovo ZUK Z2 Plus of which i've owned since November 2016. I'm currently looking to swap this phone for something else and have decided that the ZTE Axon 7 is my best bet, as i'm after something with a 5.5" AMOLED display and front-facing stereo speakers; whilst keeping the price within a tight budget of around £250 GBP.
The problem is that the Axon 7 is not sold here in the UK, with only the Axon 7 Mini being available in the shops; meaning that i'd have to purchase one from China and have it imported into the country. I would like to buy the 128GB/6GB version but there don't seem to be many of this variant available for purchase within budget. Currently the cheapest prices i've found are approximately £285 for the 128GB/4GB version and £245 for the 64GB/4GB model on Banggood and AliExpress.
With the Axon 8 presumably approaching within the next few months, it's possible that the prices of the Axon 7 will start to drop on these websites. However in the meantime while we wait, does anyone know of any current deals/offers on this handset from China?
Thanks!
you answered the question yourself in your thread. Go buy, I did. No regrets at all.

Thanks for the responses, haha. I guess it would still be a good deal to just buy the phone at the current prices, since it represents such good value for money! I noticed that Banggood also sent me a discount code for 10% off which can be used until the 19th July, but i don't think it can be used on the 128GB version because it's already in their sale and you can't combine discount offers... It does however mean £27 discount off the 64GB model. Maybe i'll wait another month until the voucher is about to expire, just to see whether the Axon 8 is announced.
try topcashback and quidco. they are offering 8% cashback. I did this for my 128gb from Ali express

Oh, excellent thinking! I actually used TopCashback when i bought my ZUK Z2 from Banggood back in November, but haven't been on the website since and so i'd completely forgotten about it. The cheapest Axon 7 on AliExpress is around £245 for the 64GB model, so minus a further 7.87% cashback would make it approximately £225. Very tempting!
Ideally the 128GB version would have been better but i'm not sure it's worth spending the additional money considering it's a +1 year old device and there's always the MicroSD slot available. Hopefully there's no import/customs charges on shipping to the UK as i'll never have ordered from AliExpress before. (I managed to avoid the taxes on my ZUK Z2 from Banggood by choosing the free shipping method!) The only thing i'm worried about with this phone is the sudden influx of reports surrounding the 'shaky camera' issue. I assume the warranty will be almost non-existent when ordering from these Chinese websites?
no import charges on mine. I've noticed that the gold version is quite a bit cheaper. I wanted the grey. only thing to watch out for will be the fact that the seller will have rooted the phone to install Google play store and services. this isn't necessary. you'll need to download the build from ZTE (look elsewhere on this forum of how to do this). After that you'll receive the regular OTA updates first.

Thanks for all your assistance. I'm about 95% convinced at this point that the Axon 7 is the perfect device for me. Both colours seem nice but i'm slightly more tempted by the gold one, since all my previous devices have been black in colour which has become incredibly boring. Also, it would be nice to stand out from the crowd a little. The procedure with flashing the ZTE ROM sounds very familiar as the same thing was necessary with my ZUK Z2. It came with a Banggood 'shop ROM' that couldn't be updated via OTA to the latest version. I had to download Qualcomm Flash Image Loader onto my laptop and flash the latest firmware to the device manually.
The Axon 8 is perhaps only a few months away but i'm pretty sure it won't come anywhere near my budget. Ideally i'm looking to spend as little money as possible, and the Axon 7 ticks all the boxes with the exception maybe of an IR blaster. Unless the Axon 8 came in at under £350 for the 64GB version it simply wouldn't be a viable option. I wouldn't see the full benefits of a SD835 either since my usage consists only of basic web browsing and media consumption.
honestly don't worry. I'm on nova launcher and the phone flies. No lag at all. spigen rugged armour case is the way to go. you can even get Google assistant working using the home button. it's originally only configured for zte voice.
This phone is a game changer for ZTE and for "budget phones". The only thing that's lacking is the camera and it's not /that/ bad. It's just not top of the line but it works for the money I paid for it ($285 used). The stock rom is fine. It works, I don't like how slow the notifications come in and a few other quirks. Root it, but a LOS variant rom on it and be done with it. You won't be disappointed.
I bought mine at www.eudirect.shop - it was some 50 EUR cheaper than ordering directly from China and paying customs & tax. Still took almost three weeks to arrive.
Sorry wrong post
I am looking for op5 (from Canada). The price on banggood is $556CAD and on oneplus.net/ca is $650CAD + tax (which is 19% more even after 10% student discount) 6GB/64GB. Do you have any bad experience with banggood? How reliable the oneplus.net is? Any trouble to deal with the seller when your phone should have any problem?
Last question, how do you think huawei p10 plus? It is a much more expensive phone.
I wouldn't trust any other sellers than OnePlus themselves.
Oneplus themselves... You really wouldn't want a bad experience for a tiny bit more. at least that's my opinion
I agree. You usually get what you pay for when using obscure site that many don't know. I knwo you're in Canada, but in the US, unless it's a place like amazon, Swappa or Best Buy, I'm not to into buying phones unless direct from the OEM.
I saw some article about Gearbest selling the phone for $399 if you use a certain code.
Or you can buy it from the official OnePlus website and use a certain code from XDA to get a free OnePlus case. The case is about $30 normally.
The code can be found in some XDA article from last week.
bangood are fine. check its not the chinese version which may limit the bands and have no google play store. i suppose you can flash oxygen rom etc. also remember you will probably run the risk of paying custom tax.
Thanks all. It seems oneplus.net is a reliable place to shopping. Is there data for where people buying their op5? It could be interesting.
I bought mine from OnePlus. I know I overpaid being in Canada with our crappy dollar but I needed to switch to a dual sim phone and the OnePlus was the only dual sim phone I knew of that I was sure I'd be happy with so I was willing to switch from the s8 to the OnePlus 5 even though it was almost the same amount of money. The ordering process was nice and easy and the phone arrived to my door in Canada in less than a week by DHL. I got frequent status updates on the shipping. So far it's better than the s8 in some ways and a downgrade in others. Which is the "better" phone depends what you need or like better.
I would not worry, there is no dodgy copies of oneplus 5 around to my knowledge. Just make sure it has OOS on it ,but even if it comes with the Chinese software you can Flash OOS later. Only on hardware spec(except for memory and storage), Surely you have a one week return policy in Canada also. Android phones never brake until warranty period has expired
No problem here... just got my OP5 from banggood for 400 €... it is 100€ cheaper than oneplus
Buy from the OEM direct even if it costs a little more you have 0 problems with a return or whatever if you have an issue with the device
got mine from aliexpress took 9 days cost £370 6/64 global rom, but then again its a bit worrying ordering from china constantly checking tracking

I agree with this 100%, i've had way better experiences purchasing direct from the manufacturer when it comes to repairs, warranties, etc. When I purchase from Best Buy or online resllers, the seller just tells me "Welp, you didn't purchase the 300$ warranty so..... You're SOL buddy! Good luck contacting the manufacturer!"
I purchased my Samsung Chromebook plus from Best Buy and regretted it. The chromebook had a hardware defect, I called Best Buy and brought it to the Best Buy store I bought it from and they said "WEll, sorry dude, you didn't buy the warranty.." Then I called Samsung and they told me "If you purchased it through us, we could just replace your chromebook , because you went through a reseller, we can only repair it"
I had to get it repaired twice for the same problem I regret not purchasing from Samsung direct, even if it had been a few bucks more.

There isn't really. I agree with mchlbenner about buying from eBay. It's safer because you can pay with PayPal, and eBay staff is pretty helpful when it comes to bad sellers.
The next best alternative is buying through Banggood or Gearbest with PayPal. After that, Geekbuying and often, LightInTheBox fit here as well (as long as you pay with PayPal).
Aliexpress is so-so. There are some good sellers and plenty of bad sellers. But the prices can be pretty enticing and you'll find more models there. But you can't use PayPal, you have to use your credit card, which makes contesting a transaction difficult after the sale. Also, Aliexpress free shipping sucks. Also, cashback websites like TopCashBack tend to post higher cashback rates for Aliexpress over other stores.
I've personally had great experiences buying from both Banggood and Gearbest. Gearbest refunded me for expensive headphones I never got, and Banggood allowed me to cancel my x722 order and re-order in a different currency. I'm not so sure about Geekbuying or LITB. As for reliable Aliexpress sellers for LeEco phones, I don't know any. I do know reliable sellers for Xiaomi phones though (taken from reddit.com/r/Xiaomi).
oh thanks
