Hello guys Im new to this Touch HD forum and I want one BAD...I found one Cheap from a company in China & I would like to know has anybody else bought one from China? Its unlocked and they said it will work with T-Mobile.
The best price I have heard on Touch HD is around $720 + Shipping to the US from resellers in UK. Nothing from China... if I were you, I will not throw away my money from a seller in a country where it is not released yet, and has a cheaper price.
Again, just my thought... Its your money and your deal.
I live in China. Tell me the name of the company and give a link and I'll check it out. My first impression though is no way. THe touch hd is not officially released here yet so the only way to legally get them is to have them shipped from Hong Kong and they are expensive ($800 US), so I doubt that some company in China would be getting them from abroad and then shipping them to you cheaper than someone like handtec who is getting them directly from HTC in Europe....
1. Like everything in life, if it's too good to be true, it usually is. If this chinese company is indeed reputable, then go ahead. But be warned with the risks involved in importing goods, you have to be prepared to assume all risks and liabilities (warranty, shipping problems, fraud, etc). From my view as of Dec 8, 2008, HTC Touch HD is still pre-order only in many shops and sells for about $800 to $900 due to high demand.
2. Unlocked GSM phones will work with any GSM carriers, that's the nature of being 'unlocked'. However, the downside is that they're usually not subsidized by the GSM carrier and thus more expensive. A trade off between flexibility and cost. For me, the flexibility of being able to use any GSM card when I travel abroad outweighs the cost.

define cheap? before shipping, mine was approximately $670.00 US from Clove Technology. even at today's exchange rate (around 1.50 dollars for each GBP), $700 from a reputable reseller is the best price you'll get. i've seen US retailers selling for as much as $840 and that doesn't include shipping!
Ok update ...Ive now Got a contact in the USA that I can get the phones from Cheap, and when I say cheap I mean under 400.00 shipped to your door.Im registered to get them wholesale...this is where Ebayers probably get them from to re-sell for a big profit .Im gonna be joining you guys soon I hope

I'm most likely going to pre-order a Black S6 64GB. I am expecting it between £599-649 with a free wireless charger included.
I won't pre-order, I can wait
Only place I'll be buying from is Amazon UK.. Come on Amazon open the pre-orders already!

Do you really think Samsung will throw in a free wireless charging pad? I guess it's a possibility but they've not been know to thrown in free stuff.
I'm in two minds whether to pre order or not. I'd prefer to check out full reviews beforehand but that might be to my detriment if Samsung do thrown in a bonus with pre orders.

With the current favourable euro rate, I wonder is it worth buying from amazon.de or amazon.fr ?

Yes - well worth exploring this. I'll be looking tomorrow. Need to be sure warranty covers EU though right.

If you order from Amazon DE for example, then if you have issues you need to return to Amazon DE. Amazon UK won't accept returns for any reason which is a bit of a pain.

My guess is though, that samsung uk would have to honour the warranty on any samsung products, no?

Absolutely, although good luck dealing with Samsung warranty Amazon gives you 1 year 'Amazon' warranty no questions asked.. We all know how good their customer support is..
As for worldwide warranty, I've had issues with it before (albeit Sony).. Bought a Sony laptop from Dubai, had a fault, Sony in Cyprus wouldn't accept it for replacement/fixing.

Have to say I had an exceptional experience with samsung when my note 2 developed a fault with the flash memory. Send them the phone and it was back to me, fixed within a few days. I think the phone was about 18 months old at that stage.

Yes, very good experience for me as well with Amazon UK. My Galaxy S3 stopped working suddenly DAYS before the end of the 1-year warranty (switched off by itself, couldn't switch it back on even after swapping the battery). Despite the fact that it was rooted and running a custom ROM, they changed it with no question asked for a new one that I received the day after (even before I sent the old one back), They also asked me if I wanted a full refund instead, which retrospectively I should have done, since the price had dropped and I could get a new one for cheaper

That's good to hear. The only reason I am a bit wary of Samsung warranty is when you trip Knox.. I highly doubt Amazon would care about that; Sammy on the other hand is a different story. I talked to a representative of theirs a few days back about the whole Knox tripping warranty thing and oh boy they didn't like it.. I even showed him the legislation and talked about a scenario where I take Samsung to a small claims court, etc and he insisted Samsung will not fulfill warranty for whatever reason if Knox has been tripped.
I had a run in recently with Samsung mobile support and only after 4 months, and threatening legal action, did I get a replacement phone. My previous note 4 had issues with unstable WiFi but they wouldn't accept this was happening because they couldn't replicate the problem. I was specifically asked about whether I had modified it in any way (as in software) before they arranged for a repair. I'm not sure whether the repair centres that the phones are sent to actually check the Knox counter. In my opinion, they didn't do much other than flash the firmware again which I had already done. Bad experience with Samsung mobile support. Had a problem ages ago with first galaxy s1 with o2 and they replaced it after second time it was sent in for repair worth a new s2.

Good to know it. There's a lot of reasons to decide to buy a mobile phone or another, but people never thinks bout the warranty and technical support. Good for Samsung!

Standard S6 sim free prices are thus, I would hate to see the prices for the edge,
£600 32GB
£660 64GB
£740 128GB

I definately made the right decision to wait til later down in the year for the s6 because there is no way imo the S6 is worth that much.
I was expecting more like £550-570 for 32GB, £600-620 64GB and £670-700 for 128GB.

Unfortunately I can't wait that long. My Nexus 5 is dying right before my very eyes.. I was hoping to get away with the 64GB S6 Edge for £700 max but doesn't look like that will be the case..
Hey all. Found out from another member yesterday that B&H is selling the International variant of the S7 Edge.
I was thinking of buying the INTL version from someone on eBay but started thinking maybe B&H is a better way to so since they also offer the 1 year warranty through them.
Has anyone had any experience buying unlocked or INTL versions from B&H before? Never bought a phone from B&H... Wanted to ask around and see what experiences people have had.
Thank you!

B&h is a VERY reputable company located here in ny 34 st i think they are. They have their store location which sucks since they only charge taxes to people that live here. But yeah u can order from them with confident. Very good company thag have been around for years. If they do have locally i might later jump on a international versio. But has of now. Im happy without root, using disable package and crytal to block ad from browser. Dont like adguard or other vpn cause they drain battery plus the. Big vpn icon which u cant get rid off

Off topic: did you try AdBlock Plus in Samsung's browser ? Works great. Clean, no VPN.
B&H is a good store but if you want the international version take a look at ebay, some of us got out S7 Edge for 700, B&H is selling it for 800.
Hello guys, how are you?
Does anyone know where to buy the S7 Edge Duos (G-935FD) in New York?
Thanks!
I don't think you can find it at any local stores in NY at this moment and if you were to you'd probably get it for a very high price. Best way is to order online from ebay (got mine from ebay) or buy from an Arab online store which is where the phone is currently available from.

May I ask what's stopping you from buying it online from a place other than NY? I'm curious because buying online from someplace else would even save you paying taxes for it. Also you could get it from B&H which is NY based but they don't offer the Duos version as of right now.

Sure, my main concern is regarding the shipping time. I have a friend who is in NY right now and will be back to Brazil on April 5, and he said that he could bring the device.
I looked on Amazon and Ebay, and tried to contact sellers in hope that they could deliver the product in NY in a shorter time, but I didn't have success yet.
And thanks a lot daLareid, for all the attention, help and support!

Oh I understand now, some of the sellers on ebay might offer paid shipping which would meaning receiving the item faster. But if you can settle for a regular S7 Edge with 1 SIM then your best bet would probably be to have your friend buy it from B&H.

Understood, but I will keep looking for the Dual Sim variant.
And one more time, thanks a lot for all the help!
I am looking for op5 (from Canada). The price on banggood is $556CAD and on oneplus.net/ca is $650CAD + tax (which is 19% more even after 10% student discount) 6GB/64GB. Do you have any bad experience with banggood? How reliable the oneplus.net is? Any trouble to deal with the seller when your phone should have any problem?
Last question, how do you think huawei p10 plus? It is a much more expensive phone.
I wouldn't trust any other sellers than OnePlus themselves.
Oneplus themselves... You really wouldn't want a bad experience for a tiny bit more. at least that's my opinion
I agree. You usually get what you pay for when using obscure site that many don't know. I knwo you're in Canada, but in the US, unless it's a place like amazon, Swappa or Best Buy, I'm not to into buying phones unless direct from the OEM.
I saw some article about Gearbest selling the phone for $399 if you use a certain code.
Or you can buy it from the official OnePlus website and use a certain code from XDA to get a free OnePlus case. The case is about $30 normally.
The code can be found in some XDA article from last week.
bangood are fine. check its not the chinese version which may limit the bands and have no google play store. i suppose you can flash oxygen rom etc. also remember you will probably run the risk of paying custom tax.
Thanks all. It seems oneplus.net is a reliable place to shopping. Is there data for where people buying their op5? It could be interesting.
I bought mine from OnePlus. I know I overpaid being in Canada with our crappy dollar but I needed to switch to a dual sim phone and the OnePlus was the only dual sim phone I knew of that I was sure I'd be happy with so I was willing to switch from the s8 to the OnePlus 5 even though it was almost the same amount of money. The ordering process was nice and easy and the phone arrived to my door in Canada in less than a week by DHL. I got frequent status updates on the shipping. So far it's better than the s8 in some ways and a downgrade in others. Which is the "better" phone depends what you need or like better.
I would not worry, there is no dodgy copies of oneplus 5 around to my knowledge. Just make sure it has OOS on it ,but even if it comes with the Chinese software you can Flash OOS later. Only on hardware spec(except for memory and storage), Surely you have a one week return policy in Canada also. Android phones never brake until warranty period has expired
No problem here... just got my OP5 from banggood for 400 €... it is 100€ cheaper than oneplus
Buy from the OEM direct even if it costs a little more you have 0 problems with a return or whatever if you have an issue with the device
got mine from aliexpress took 9 days cost £370 6/64 global rom, but then again its a bit worrying ordering from china constantly checking tracking

I agree with this 100%, i've had way better experiences purchasing direct from the manufacturer when it comes to repairs, warranties, etc. When I purchase from Best Buy or online resllers, the seller just tells me "Welp, you didn't purchase the 300$ warranty so..... You're SOL buddy! Good luck contacting the manufacturer!"
I purchased my Samsung Chromebook plus from Best Buy and regretted it. The chromebook had a hardware defect, I called Best Buy and brought it to the Best Buy store I bought it from and they said "WEll, sorry dude, you didn't buy the warranty.." Then I called Samsung and they told me "If you purchased it through us, we could just replace your chromebook , because you went through a reseller, we can only repair it"
I had to get it repaired twice for the same problem I regret not purchasing from Samsung direct, even if it had been a few bucks more.
