Is anyone else experiencing freezing issue in recent apps screen? It happens frequently while the recent apps screen is empty and I minimize an app by pressing the recent apps button.

Try reducing the window transition and animation transition to 0.5x or keep them off by going to developer option.
See if that helps.

Already tried reducing to 0.5x but no help. When the recent apps screen is not empty then there is no freezing while minimizing.

the problem with the google bar in multitasking has been resolved! with this:
''In Settings -> Apps -> Gear icon (top right) -> Default Apps -> Assistance (first one) -> Assistance application (click on gear icon) -> Select Google (in my case None was selected) -> restart phone
so you can remove or put the bar with this

Thanks but I don't get that Assistance option. In my case there is only Assist and Voice Input.
hi. anyone found out how to disable floating pop-ups? i see the option to disable it, but then you'd also disable the vibrate/sound.
is there a method to disable only the floating pop-up?
What are you referring to?

no. when a text comes in, it pops up at the top of the screen. thats the thing i want to get rid off, but cant seem to unless you turn off sound/vibrate as well.
Did you try settings>apps> then select the app that you want to disable floating popup > scroll all the way down to the bottom and select apps that can appear on top and then switch this option off.
I did this for esexplorer which kept showing floating add icons

I went there I have checked every settings on that menu with no luck.
I accidentally found out that if you swipe up on the bottom bezel Google Now opens.
Is this a hidden feature because it is nowhere mentioned in the Settings App.
It's the home (navigation)button. Look for navigation key in settings.

I am aware of the settings for the home button but I am talking about the area to the left and right of the home button.
Not a feature, it's a nuisance if you ask me.

Yeah is so annoying is there anyway can disable it
It's only working when you have disabled the Navigation Bar.
I would like to disable it as well but I don't want to have the Navigation Bar.
I'm using swipe launch disabler from play Store to disable Google now swiping up.

EDIT: Just realized something. This doesn't happen on mine because I had already disabled the Google App in 'Settings'.

how to remove headsup or peeking notifications ? on the LG G6 THANKS.
I don't have any peeking notifications unless you're talking about the phone call popup that shows when you're using the phone
When I get a text or any message the notification comes down on the screen I just want to remove that feature of it showing up on the screen while I'm doing something

Okay no what about other apps? I use Hangouts fpr my texting and it doesn't have this option. Any ideas?
The same question for me. I have peeking with whatsapp also, even if whatsapp has this option and by default has always been disabled. I don't like peek notifications I would like to understand how to remove them by phone options, not by app.

I managed to find that option. It's available in Facebook, or Facebook Messenger or in Facebook Messenger "Lite" too, but it's not available in Whatsapp that is my main interest
Can you check whatsapp?

This was driving me nuts too, for Google Hangouts. Tried "Do No Disturb". Didn't work. Very frustrating when using the phone full screen in landscape mode.
