I definitely know this works on previous Samsung devices, anyone found a way to disable it in the s8?

Some things seem a little off ?
The newly opened pages dont open in background ? no way to to even change it apparently ??
the open tabs page is slow and clunky ?
No experimental labs controls where you slide off the side of the screen for controls ?
the s3 browser just seemed a better UI.. but the s4 just smokes it in performance.
Anyone else having these issues ?
any word of updates on these ??
i tried a rom with this function but it doesn't work well... can anyone tell me if i can find a software for note 3 that works very well this issue?
now i have echo rom
thanks
I would like to know this as well. I am on stock ROM though but with Faux's kernel, don't know if it has that feature, but if it does I would like to know how to enable it.
It's a kernel level feature anyway, so you need to find a kernel which supports it, that is if there is a kernel available with the given feature.
Hello, can you tell me if there's a way to make the interface of the stock rom more fluid ? I found it kinda sluggish compare to my old phone.
I haven't root the phone yet, but I saw that some xposed does work... what is the problem with that phone ? I mean even just going from one menu to another seems sluggish =T (and I set the animation to 0.5x)

Force GPU rendering or Disable HW overlays have any effect? From the same place as animation scale settings.

Thanks, It does help a bit but it's like it's in 20 fps or something, I'm coming from another phone with cm12.1 and it was far more fluid. Maybe there's a way to change that with L Speed or Gravity Box ? I haven't tested that yet...

If there is AAL in EngineeringMode ( under hardware ), try turning that off...
L_speed might help if it's a RAM management issue I guess.

Its thermal throttling. What do you do to heat it much? Gaming or gaming while in charging or something? Configure your own profile under 'Termal' section of Synapse, as you know its risky. Also as its mentioned, 'Disabling Samsung DVFS' may help(dont know).
do you know how to disable the dvfs? on the s6 edge plus?

There was an option in Wanam Xposed about Disabling dvfs, not tested clearly. You should try it.

Nope, Im using wanam's xposed for over 6 months on my Edge plus. Hope you find the correct one and follow the instructions.
Btw, maybe searching another apps/methods..
From what I have read, it looks like root might not be required for the Dolby Atmos software. I really like that EQ. I have a T-Mobile S8+ with locked bootloader, so I am hoping there is a way to install the Dolby software without root. If anyone knows if this is possible, instructions and a link to the latest version would be appreciated, as there are a lot of different versions floating around.
any updates for Dolby atmos on any android no root required?
I had it installed in my Galaxy S8 T-mobile but it makes no difference. In fact, it only gives it s deep base but not a loud sound.
This is how it works :
Once installed, just open Samsung music or Google music and a pop up window will show up saying that dolby atmos is running in the background. I tried it but didn't like it. You can try and maybe works for you. Here is the app.
Works... sort of

Installed on my Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD there's no way to configure it though cause the equalizer option still only brings up Samsung Sound Alive. Is there a way of getting rid of sound alive without root? I tried package disabler pro and BK package disabler and neither of them seemed to get control over my phone even though I gave it my Samsung Enterprice Licence key. Really dunno what to do. Had it on my old rooted Galaxy A5 and I loved it, but don't wanna woid my warranty on this thing... at least not now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would this work to remove the sound alive side of things? https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/how-to-remove-oem-bloatware-s8-s8-t3654687
Any updates on this? The built in Samsung EQ is complete garbage. The Dolby EQ significantly improves both the sound and the level.
Isn't there a way to give specific apps root access via ADB without actually rooting the phone?

Yup that worked, do you know of a way to reinstall SoundAlive? I found that Dolby doesn't really suit me, and trying to install the SoundAlive APK through 0ackage installer results in the 'app not installed' message, and through ADB in error 3001
