Its thermal throttling. What do you do to heat it much? Gaming or gaming while in charging or something? Configure your own profile under 'Termal' section of Synapse, as you know its risky. Also as its mentioned, 'Disabling Samsung DVFS' may help(dont know).
do you know how to disable the dvfs? on the s6 edge plus?

There was an option in Wanam Xposed about Disabling dvfs, not tested clearly. You should try it.

any safe modules?
G3 Tweaksbox is safe, never had a problem with it. Offers alot of features too.
I'm also using the Greenify module, no issues.
Running Xposed Torch, replaced the volume up shortcut to a torch instead of QuickMemo. Also safe, no issues.

It would vary for everyone, since we all have different apps.
Pretty much I greenify any app that I don't rely on the notifications. For example I use Facebook messenger alot so I don't greenify that. However I don't need to see Facebook notifications as soon as they come so I greenify FB
I also just greenified any system app that I thought would be safe, and took the same approach as with regular apps. Greenified apps like maps, google search, chrome, hangouts and pretty much all the G3 apps including update centre and app updates.

Just installed "Mobile Disconnect" and not a single ad yet this should improve battery life and mobile data too

Hello !
nfclockscreeof enabler - works with your phone ? Me it doesn't work (D855 v10h).
Xposed just causes my phone to randomly reboot.
Has anyone noticed any performance issues or lag when using xposed?

For me it worked, at least I really thought it did, with the previous T-Mobile 10c rom. Since updating, or before if I'm just remembering wrong, it has not worked. I only tested the "screen on and locked" not screen off, and I really thought it worked at least once from the lockscreen.

I've been trying to get Evernote and Gmail to run in tablet mode for a few days with no avail.
I've tried Xposed app settings tweaks and a few other tablet-mode xposed mods which at most crashed the system UI.
Does anyone know a working way to accomplish that on the Note 4?
I have the same question?
I'm trying to accomplish this on Firefox to force it in tablet mode. I have no problems on my Note3 to get it, but on Note4 it wont work. Did anyone get it to work and how?
Im on DR.Ketan ROM with multi DPI on note4 ... and on my note3 (which works great without any modifying) im using x-note ROM.

Use "App Settings" Xposed Module. You can change the DPI in a per app basis and force tablet ui mode too (touch "resolution" and apply the biggest one).

Yes, thats what i thought too but it didnt work on the note4 ... the largest resolution is 1000x1800 and it wont start in tablet mode, no matter what DPI i set.

Hi,
there is an app that I've used for it on my n910f.
UI Tuner (aka Window Manager) on Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bassel.uituner
It works like App settings. Go to menu in UI Tuner and select per app settings. From there you can choose the app you want to run tablet mode. Just type an lower density value and higher screen size. You can google for some tablet values.
More information you can find here on xda. Search for window manager.
It didn't work for me. Looks like there is no way to run firefox in tablet mode on note4 ...

Sorry mate. For other apps it worked for me. But Firefox app seems get some device information (assume from build.prop) to recognize which mode it should start, so it is no matter what dpi or screen size you have.

Probably In Xposed AppSettings it changes the DPI like it should, but firefox just doesnt recognize it. I cant get behind the logic of that, because on the Note3 the same version works excellent in tablet UI. Looks like i have to switch completely to the RAM eater chrome.
Ill ask it in the ROM section, maybe its something ROM related or the dev could help me out.

I found that setting the global DPI on my G4 with textdroider changed Firefox into tablet mode at a certain point (450 worked, with my device default being 640), but it doesn't work with App Settings.
My suggestion is to change your entire DPI to some smaller number with textdroider and adjust apps to a larger size as needed. Kinda annoying, but should do the trick.

Hello, can you tell me if there's a way to make the interface of the stock rom more fluid ? I found it kinda sluggish compare to my old phone.
I haven't root the phone yet, but I saw that some xposed does work... what is the problem with that phone ? I mean even just going from one menu to another seems sluggish =T (and I set the animation to 0.5x)

Thanks, It does help a bit but it's like it's in 20 fps or something, I'm coming from another phone with cm12.1 and it was far more fluid. Maybe there's a way to change that with L Speed or Gravity Box ? I haven't tested that yet...

If there is AAL in EngineeringMode ( under hardware ), try turning that off...
L_speed might help if it's a RAM management issue I guess.
Hello guys,
Lets say that I'm a basic user on my phone.. Camera, social apps, gps, browser.. that's it.
But something that I really miss from my previous phone (running CM), was double tap to wake and Greenify (Pro edition).
Greenify without root is a pain in the ass.. And those apps from Playstore to DTW are horrible. So my questions:
1 - Is worth it to root my phone because of those two features?
2 - Is there any custom rom or custom kernel that can provide me the DTW ?
Thank you very much.

Double tap to wake is not a feature or option in
any of the current custom roms for S7/S7 Edge.
There is no custom kernel or any mod which has
the double tap to wake feature for the S7/S7 edge.
Good luck, have a great day!

If it's only.those two features , I would say just stay on stock . I don't think yon need greenify as well. The native doze is doing quite good I think. And theres no way for dt2w .

Thanks a lot man!
Regards
I am using the latest version of Android, with the June 2017 security patch (my device is G4 Plus XT1640) rooted with magisk and xposed (just the module of the gravity box, and in magisk the viper4android module).
But something happens that bothers a lot, and this happens in the android since the early versions of its existence, which is the problem of interrupting the notifications after a time in standby (something that iOS never seen happen)
In my case, I wanted notifications of specific apps not to be interrupted (like WhatsApp, Instagram, Google+, etc.) but that's not the case, I know in version 7.0 Nougat, it has the battery optimization feature, where it manages to suspend application activities while it is in standby (or deep sleep), however, I deactivated battery optimization in applications that I wish not to be suspended, but it continues to suspend.
It may be until the system is not suspending the application, but the connectivity (in the case Wi-Fi) however in the Wi-Fi network settings I enabled it to not be suspended for inactivity, but even so I do not get notifications applications. I got to perform a test by sending a message on whatsapp to me after 20 minutes on standby, and it shows only one check instead of two check, when I unlock the screen, and open the application, the notifications appears all at once.
Is there a way (without requiring root resources or xposed modules) to resolve this problem? (Or is the solution only with root and xposed features?)
@AzuosDX I would recommend to uninstall Gravity Box and make sure you don't run applications like greenify or other doze apps like amplify. Please test again.

Well, the problem is that I can not go without using the features of the Gravity Box, because in it I use the resources of:
(Note: I did the test without the Gravity Box, and the delay stays the same)
* Modify the status bar (center the clock)
* Enable the download and upload consumption counter
* Customize navigation bar buttons (example: open WhatsApp with two touch, open the application drawer by holding the button, and etc.)
the Gravity Box I only use these features, and they do not directly affect the applications installed on the system, and I do not use any hibernation application, and even then I would not have them interfere if I enable specific apps to not be hibernated (just like I mentioned in the battery optimization part)
I think it's a problem in Kernel optimization apps, because I installed HEBF (an app that "promises" improved battery consumption, stability, smoothness in the system, etc.). And another app that is L-Speed, when I was using HEBF, I actually did some tests and I noticed that it does not interfere with the delay of notifications, but L-Speed is another story because after analyzing the application thoroughly, it can delay writes on the system, modify parts of the kernel responsible in standby (Kernel Sleepers) among other things.
The question is whether anyone else could use this same application to know if it really is the problem, because if other devices do not, then my device might be a combination of factors that lead to delay in notifications ( for example: Root + Xposed + L-Speed or Magisk + Xposed + L-Speed or HEBF + L-Speed and etc.)
I think I will reinstall the System Stock again, do everything like this now, but without using the L-Speed and HEBF customizations, and analyze if they really are the problem.
But is there any application that keeps other specific applications awake within the system? without hibernating them, or suspending them?
.
