Then ask google.

imx400 is the only 1000FPS capable sensor listed on Sony site, we have imx330.

soby is going to make its new sensor exclusive to it flagship at least for now

There was app to check hardware details... Camera senor etc can't remember the name though

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I spoke to samsung regarding this feature twice on live chat at different times and one person said that the s8 is capable of recording 480fps and the other time i spoke they said that the s8 can record 960fps.
Heres that chat transcript
[John(Agent):22:27:58] For the Samsung S8, it can record videos at 960fps.
[John(Agent):22:35:49] By comparison, the iPhone 7 Plus can only record slow motion videos up to 240fps, while the recently released LG G6 is capable of recording up to 480fps. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 camera also surpasses Sony’s newly announced Xperia XZ Premium which can record videos at 960fps.
Although when i asked him how to record 960fps he was telling me the usual method by going on slow motion mode and just hit record. So i told him that this way i end up recording at 240fps. And then he said he'll email the relevant department and do some enquiries and then email me the results..its been almost 1week and i have no email

Don't ask Samsung customer services. They live off a script in front of them. They've probably never even touched a samsung phone in their lives.
You have the phone so if you can't find it then it doesn't exist.
Don't waste your time. The specs are easily to find in a 5 second search on Google.

The exynos chip is capable of 960fps, sd is not, im wondering if a camera mod with root is able to enable this

You were talking about 960 fps and I don't even know to take slow motion videos

Just bought a Samsung S8. It seems that the S8 doesn't support 1000 fps slow motion recording. Total disappointment!

Can somebody enhance S4 camera slow motion resolution?

Hello Guys. Sorry for my sloppy English.
I saw a video review said that S4 could only record slow motion video in 720P. so I check my ATT S4(I9505 hardware), but find that 800*450 is the only option for slow motion record.
So I post a thread about Galaxy S4 camera slow motion problem in a website form my country. from the feedback, people who has I9500 said their option is 720p while for those who has I9505, 800*450 instead.
So frustrated isn't it. Hope those XDAs who is able to enhance the model could put a hand on this,
All of our I9505 users will really appreciate that, Or should we make a bounty? I will put 30$ on it.
Personally, although i am sure the hardware is capable, its a feature that is a novelty. I'm not sure any dev would look at this possibility but you never know.

I can confirm that on my i9500 as well. Can record 720p slow motion upto 1/8 of normal speed. Finally got something in I9500 worth paying the extra 400$ lol.

Yes, i comfirm it too. That's is the advantage of the more powerful SoC and the newer better sensor
This phone should have no problem handling it, considering iphone 4s users had an app to record 720 slo-mo. Just need a dev to figure it out

They got the same sensor. Performance shouldn't be a issue either. Hope that Samsung will add it in the future.

While it hasn't been confirmed yet, most sources seem to point out that the i9505 has a Sony IMX091PQ sensor which is Exmor R, while the i9500 is confirmed to have a Sony IMX135 sensor which is Exmor RS (the newest model with stacked cmos).
That's probably why pictures taken by the i9500 variant are also more detailed and less noisy than those from the i9505.
I would love to be abke to record in 720p slow mo on my uk s4 i9505

[REQUEST]Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) - 1080p/60fps

K920 has same camera sensor as Galaxy S5, but i can't record video in 1080p/60fps. In stock camera isn't setting frame rate. Do you know, how?
And slow motion (720p/120fps) is very sh*t.
Some update? Or mod? I try video record applications, but nothing run.
I have stock 4.4.2 with VibeUi (and clear android)
Thx
I just bought it. Will check and get back.

Slow motion video is broken on the snapdragon version!!

Wow, this really sucks. It's one of my favorite features. There are several videos where the slow motion is really choppy and skips a lot, see here:
https://youtu.be/Ozmq051Bqo4
https://youtu.be/-ejKG4hNr2Y
https://youtu.be/XdmVAfQWr38
And then we have a perfectly smooth and what looks like higher res slow motion video from a user here who owns the exynos version:
https://youtu.be/g5aUNY3YnGk
What in the world is going on?
I really hope this is not staying this way. It is annoying. Saturday i will get my Exynos, i will test and let you know the results.

Its a bug, im sure it'll be fixed, the world is not ending.
I just tested and had the same. Also on Snapdragon.
Also have bad compression artifacts all over my videos in FHD60 and UHD
It just got released.....relax it will be fixed soon

Samsung and soon? Does these two match together?
Is this problem already reported to Samsung. Did Samsung already give a reaction on this bug?

Here's my test video of slow motion with my T-mobile S7

Coin Spin @ 1/8th Speed - https://youtu.be/J_pgp0BJ8HU
Here a link to the original file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.hi...A4Xh/S7 Slow-motion Coin Spin 1-8th Speed.mp4
Here is another: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG_tjI27BsQ
This is from my T-Mobile S7 (Snapdragon). I've noticed AF tracking is not working properly if not at all when capturing Slo-Mo. A quick tap of the object on your screen will re-focus.
Side note: YouTube really destroys the quality of the videos at 720p.

S7 Video Recording FUBAR: Samsung's Biggest Mistake?

When I first picked up my Galaxy s7 Edge on Sprint, I wrote a post about poor quality, lack of stability, and a lot of people told me I was imagining it, or put it down to YouTube. Now watch this...
https://youtu.be/gF_PRYBFS84
That is a video I took in FHD60 (i.e. 1080p and 60 frames per second) - skip forward to 8 seconds. Unacceptable isn't the word. I should add, most of the time it's not as bad as this - usually just a really jarring stutter, but it's done this a few times,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnRAHEE-nB4
This one is 4K. Not as bad on the face of it, but the weird motion blurring and blockiness present is ...well, it doesn't feel very 4K. I also experience some skips/frame drops when filming in this mode.
I took approx 130 10-30 second videos over the weekend and skipping is present in most of them. I've even got to the point where I try and film everything twice (panning across a landscape) so i can hopefully minimize the likelihood of skipping.
This is my second S7 edge, after the first one developed a dead pixel within the first 2 weeks. I've updated the firmware to G935PVPU2APD3.
From what I've read online in forums, one user claimed that on a live chat , Samsung are refusing to admit it publicly, but there is nothing they can do to improve it. I believe this is a problem mainly with the US Snapdragon 820 chip - but I dunno, it could be an issue with the International version too - either way, I'm not happy but it looks like we have to put up with it.

Hi Dave,
I have the Snapdragon 820 processor and camera is SONY_IMX260
I've seen pieces online that say the Snapdragon fares worse than the Exynos in terms of performance, so it could be only really noticeable on those phones
Indeed, am no pro snapper so I cannot comment.
But the picture quality has been perfect on my device.
Am going to try this recording on the way home in the car now though (something i have yet to do)
I'll upload to YouTube for you to view if you like.
Any specific settings you used?

It happens with FHD60 most commonly. Panning the camera makes it most notable... that's pretty much it!
Just a question.. you are recording internally or on sdcard?
I don't think there's any way that is a hardware issue. Seems like something is going way wrong with the video recording on the software level - I'd be money it is digital stabilization going haywire. Was that turned off? If so, maybe it's broken.

Shooting 1080p @ 120fps ?

Dear s8 users & future s8 users
It blows my mind knowing the fact that in 2017 a freaking flagship phone from Samsung the mighty s8 does not have an option to shoot 1080p at 120fps. For videographers its a must.
It shoots freaking 4k but can't do this.
Honestly I bought this phone thinking it would have this... but I am completely lost here.
Any way on this guy's. What do you think.. is there any workaround currently
Please anonyone correct me if I'm wrong, but the capabilities solely depend on the sensor (which is last year's by the way since the S7 had the same one), so your only option is filming 60fps 1080p, then adding frame interpolation using After Effects or software like SlowmoVideo.

If this is so important to you and is a make or brake feature, why do you buy a phone without making sure it does support it?

That's not the point. You have a feature you MUST have and spend 700 bucks or so without checking if the phone can do it?
It's like complaining that it doesn't have a 4k display but should have because Sony has had it for years, or that it doesn't come with stock Android but Google did it for over a decade.
Samsung decided to leave it out for a reason. No Need to complain about it. It's not like it's false advertising or so... Unlike the ufs thingy...
