My P9 Lite (VNS-L31) has the C900B114 firmware ever since I bought it and I can't get OTA updates. After searching around the forum for similar questions I came to the conclusion that I have to manually flash C432 firmware but I'm not that familiar with the whole process...
Do I have to unlock the phone's bootloader ? (That would also void the warranty, wouldn't it ?)
Or can I install a C432 firmware directly from my SD card with the menu that opens if you dial *#*#2846579#*#* ?
Thanks in advance .

You have to do the entire procedure for debranding your phone.
So: unlock bootloader + twrp + root + flash C432 oeminfo + repair firmware from dload folder with stock firmware C432B130/B160.
Yes, that will void warranty, but if all works smothly (some may works wrong - result bricked device...) you have a C432B130/B160 stock device (bootloader lock, stock recovery, unrouted).

I just unlocked bootloader yesterday, I change from PLK-L01C636B130 to PLK-L01C432B140.
What I do is I flash boot, cust, recovery, system of desired region firmware via fastboot. Then you flash FULL firmware the desired firmware via force update mode (power+volume up+vplume down). After finish, you can enjoy new firmware.
Goodluck !

Hi there,
So i upgraded to emui 5(c432 version) europe version manually using twrp for emui 4.1 ( C432 because there was no c185 version which i needed because the c185 is the carrier unlocked version for Africa and i had Vodafone carrier locked (c02) software before and i wanted an unlocked version. this was before the ota came out for vns l31) but it wouldnt flash the data file, so i installed revolution recovery and flashed the data file. I experienced a bug where the phone wouldn't connect to my pc, it just charged. So i tried to flash different software (c185 had been released officially) but revolution recovery couldn't flash the update.app file and i accidentally flashed the emui 4.1 twrp and now my phone is soft bricked, please could i get some help as to which software to flash using dload that wont give error at 5%

Thanks but remember my phone wont connect to my pc for some reason ???
Good day,
After installing b130 firmware this is now what my screeninfo says.
It has HI6250 as modelnumber and
VNS-C432B130 as buildnumber.
Notice it doesn't say L31 anywhere.
Is this still oke and will I receive updates or do I have a problem to fix?
You should try to restore the phone. Do this:
Save the code to unlock the bootloader somewhere safe
Flash c432 oeminfo
Dload b160 firmware
I inadvertendly chose the wrong firmware in Firmware Finder & ended up with the NRD90M test keys (pretty bad that it's still on firmware finder causing mayhem)
because of this, all firmware loads are failing (presumably because the loader does a basic check to ensure the firmware being loaded matches the device type). So I need to put the phone back to the correct model ...so I dug around & found a zip file to do this (C432 oeminfo P9 lite-dual sim.zip) , but it's erroring when I install it with TWRP....
any ideas how I get out of this problem?
Ehm , dude , it installed successfully...
I guess the red text was throwing me!

Hi, i've a p smart Fig-Lx1 with rescue rom installed (after brick) from figo folder , FRP and Bootloader unlocked, no root. When i try to install an update via ota, an error occurs. When i try to factory reset smartphone goes into erecovery and can't download any firmware. The only firmware that i can install is rescue firmware via command prompt. I want to install last firmware but i can't. can you help me?tnx. P.s. After installation of rescue rom , if i try to relock bootloader , i've a bootloop into erecovery and Twrp recovery.
Is bluetooth and everything working OK? Try upgrading through Huawei Firmware Downloader app.
i'll try to use this app... thank you for now
nothing...
The firmware finder for Huawei is the way to go, that's how I reverted back to the stock rom after I bootlooped

Problem solved with firmware finder, thank you
I also wanted to go back to the stock rom so I flashed the stock recovery and downloaded a stock ROM image (mega.nz/#!qbRyCYiI!G-1ctQEUKj_2ksHS-rU-yWiF8YZyiYSllQBSBbHoC78).
I thought it's signed but when I relocked the bootloader it only showed the eRecovery so I had to unlock the bootloader again and now I can use the ROM and it receives the latest updates.
I want to lock the bootloader because the message before the booting is pretty annoying but I don't know if my ROM is signed or not. Is there a way to check it before relocking the bootloader? Can it be in signed state due to the official updates? Are the firmware finder updates signed?
