Example: For me, I see what I think is a mis-alignment of toggles when I navigate Settings --> Google --> Security. Other toggles seem OK though. For example, Settings --> Display. I have not rooted the device.

yes indeed, not all of the toggles are misaligned, just some of google related app toggles. i found temporary fix though, change your screen resolution to 1080p, text and display zoom to normal, then reboot your phone. after reboot, restore your display settings and voila. everything goes back to normal.

Is mine just a bad upgrade to Lollipop or is everyone else missing the 'downtime' options from
Settings>Sounds and Notifications>Interruptions?
Downtime options should be there at the bottom but i don't have them....without it there doesn't appear to be any other way of setting downtime options to stop notifications etc at night. (Yes i know i an download other apps to do this but that's not the point)
Tried wipe/reset but still not there.

Not a bad upgrade m8, this is not implemented in Samsung's current lollipop release [emoji4] you can enable priority notifications to stop sounds at night though.
OK thanks....thought it was just me
hopefully Samsung will add it to an update soon....
Now that a few of us are running miui think it be useful to jot some tips and anything you may notice
-update to 5.4.25(get the rom from our russian friends on 4pda) clocks are all synced
-switched to action launcher and now when I clear ram I get up to 400mb(drops down after a bit)
-you can set defaults go to installed app/bottom there's a gear/ boom can finally change chrome to your default browser and open up external links with chrome
-app time stamps go by the status bar time(I changed it so that the lock screen shows the correct time and assumed my messages werent sending while the whole time they were a hour up on my message threads) lol
-Added apps to startup on boot seemed to fix me not receiving any of my Snapchat and my other notifications
-pinch recents to change default view(card preview or app icon)
-slide finger over from home button towards back/menu button to enable one handed mode(yes I know its a small phone but kinda cool)
All I got so far...
-go into dialer enter *#*#4636#*#* scroll down and change wcdma preferred to gsm auto(might fix missing text messages) still debatable but worth a shot
Anybody experiencing missed text messages?

I was experiencing it with the stock miui app also...one thing I noticed in the *#*#4636#*#*
Phone settings it stays set to wcdma I'm thinking there's something in the build prop
Changing it...do you know any build prop tweaks that deal with that?

Absolutely none, I'm sorry man. Two years ago I would have been able to help you with that haha. Haven't manually tweaked build.prop in ages.

Haha me neither, I just remember reading about changing build prop to fix CDMA/GSM but when I check the build prop it's a mess and I don't see anything that could be changed
The problem is after a reboot phone settings changes back to wcdma, I changed it...well see if I receive all my SMS
I did notice more disconnects with my Android Wear as well. Remember to go into app settings after installing an app and grant it (in most cases) all permissions.
I just got my September 1st Android security update OTA (I'm in the UK).
Right from the start, I noticed that the phone didn't lock/show the Clear View info when I closed the front door of the cover. In fact, the screen just stays on like the cover hasn't been shut at all. Also,, when opening the cover, it doesn't bring the screen on either - so it's completely ignoring the magnet from the looks of things.
Has anyone else got this?
Answering my own thread here:
A second boot showed the "Upgrading apps" screen very briefly, and once booted, seems like everything is back to normal with a fully working clear view cover. So after the upgrade, do another reboot just in case of any weirdness (might apply to more than just the clear view cover issue I had).

Er, afraid I don't know what that is. Tell me how to check and I'll take a look.
It's usually in the quick toggles, it says VoLTE as the icon i think.
It's not in my list of quick toggles I'm afraid.

VoLTE is in phone settings, not in quick toggles.
And I think your carrier should support and enable VoLTE to use it. I'm on the August update.
On the efficient rom 3.2 there is no volte even though my carrier supports it, any ideas?

Could you check if it is in phone settings too? I done some googling and apparently some people say on the september patch it has been baked into it.
When i download the wanam csc app, i can see all the csc values for volte to be true but no volte option on the phone app nor quick toggles
Not in settings either for me!

In the phone settings too? By phone settings, I meant the phone app. If it doesn't appear in settings nor the phone app, that means it is baked in the phone itself probably...

I don't have either that option in settings mobile network, my phone has it in phone settings.
I've updated AOD (Always On Display) via Galaxy Apps to version 1.4.02, and since then, most of the time, AOD is at full brightness, even when my device in my pocket, it takes long for the screen to turn off like it should.
I'm not sure if this specific version is buggy or it is something else, but when i'm using my phone, brightness is OK.
Anyone who updated it too can confirm its related to the AOD update?
I'm just afraid of screen burns and battery drain.
I just set a note pad on the top part of my screen to block the sensor and mine dims in 1 minute by my count and goes completely blank a few seconds after that. Try this with yours.

I'm experiencing the same problem after update and its killing battery really fast so turn off for now until next update hoping they'll fix it
my screen is not going pure dark on always on display... preview of always on screen theme is good and the backuground is pure dark, but when i lock the screen, it looks little bit grey colored background.
how can i fix it? i'm on new firmware (1.4.02)
mine was different case....when it's on AOD the automatic bright sensor doesn't work.when it's active on dark room AOD was dark & when it's active on bright room AOD was always bright.how can i fix this issue?
And one more thing the new update changelog show now its support clear view case.but it's not working.when i close the cover it doesn't show the picture which i selected on AOD setting.its show only the time like before the update.

I glad to hear its version related and not my sensor or something like that.
Actually, a lot of people experiencing problems with this version, not only this problem.
I hope they will fix it soon.
By the way, do you know what the previous version was? I would like to search for an APK, maybe i'll uninstall the updates and install the good one.

You can't uninstall I tried it. I can't remember the last version but try download any version lower than the last and don't forget to uncheck auto update

You can uninstall all updates you did
go to settings, app manager, 3 dots, show system apps, find "always on display", 3 dots again, uninstall updates.

Galaxy S8+ running QG4 (verizon). I use Do Not Disturb from 10pm to 7am daily, and the DND icons used to show on the status bar, and on the AOD, now however, they don't show at all. I recently took the update to QG4, but I don't remember if this started prior to the update. Am I missing a setting? Does it work for anyone on this version?
Thanks

Same issue here on S8 with build AQH3. Another report on AQG5 on AndroidCentral:

Same here on my unlocked international S8.

Have you tried calling Samsung support?
If others have the same problem, then it's not me...
Maybe it's some setting we are using causing the issue.
I'm calls Samsung support tomorrow if i don't find a way to fix it.
Fixed with a factory reset.

Confirmed, this works
Cheeky icon.
Fix courtesy Igsucks https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...urb-status-bar-icon-missing/m-p/212576#M24990
settings > notifications > advanced > show apps with blocked notifications (ensure System apps are shown)
If you see SYSTEM UI is blocked then click the top right menu dots and click reset app preferences.
This resets ALL app preferences and permissions so you will have to grant a lot of apps location rights, and so on.
