Hi.
I have a UK P9 Lite and I want to know when will I receive the OTA for Android N. At the moment I am on B131.
I want to root ASAP and try to enable OTG but first I thought 'wait for N' but it is taking a long time to show up.

Ota update yesterday is come for C185 I think it come for everyone very soon

In Romania the OTA was launched for one month. The update is offered by IMEI number of the phone automatically by Huawei's server. Is not a standard procedure to acces early this update but you can use Firmware Finder app from Google Play and can uodate manually to Nougat.
Does OTG work on N with a custom kernel?

Picked up an S5 after years of iPhones, Which i bought from the three store in the UK.
After installing a few apps i started to get error 24 installing netflix. I didnt fancy doing a factory reset so i routed my phone to use a root browser to remove the temp files which resolved my issue (but of course i still had to do a factory reset) However i didn't realise that android confirms if its official or not and then doesn't receive OTA updates.
I'm not much into messing with releases these days so i downloaded the stock UK firmware (NCE) from sammobile and it now says official after flashing it.
However i notice that there is an OTA update out today (NC2) which i'm not getting when i check for updates (the message says latest update installed).
Is this simply a case of the update not having rolled out to everyone yet or does the update checker use the serial number of my phone to check that it should be on the H3G UK firmware rather than the stock UK firmware? Kies also states the firmware is up to date.

Rather than waiting for ota would I just be as well flashing the new stock uk firmware through Odin?

I'm using my Huawei p8 premium (GRA-UL10) for two years now. Last year I upgraded to marshmallow, but not via OTA, I downloaded the update from Huawei's site. Few days ago I read an article about April 1 security patch for my device, I downloaded the update from the site (not the official site), installed it and now everything is running smoothly plus some tweaks.
The p8 gets update every month, but not via OTA, does it should be that way or something is wrong?

Hi, It's been a long time since Nougat came out, but on my Nova the version is still Marshmallow (EMUI 4.1), Am I missing something about the update?

Update gets sent through your carrier, so you can either contact your carrier directly and ask, usually carriers give a update schedule online, google is your friend buddy, use it
There is a new firmware but it's not approved for installation yet.
The new firmware will bring Face Unlock.
Security updates from May.
Automatic download and install updates from the carrier and device manufacturer. (can be disabled)

Do you have any new for this update for the mate 9 Porsche design? In hicare I see the update since May but the phone just don't find it when I click on the update lol
It is still not approved for installation. It will probably be another week.
Today the update was approved when I checked in Firmware Finder. In the system ypdate it said that there were no updates, so I used Firmware Finder to trigger the update. All went smooth. Face Unlock works fantastic!
my LON-L29C636 still not getting approved.
My LON-L00 still can't update.... Is been a month that I see the update on the HiCare app but each time I click on update it say no update ... =(

Hello dude,
i searched using FF for updates for your firmware and seems that aren't let you upgrade to emui 5...
So after a year since first upgrades to android 7 arrived, it's quite hard to believe that it will come in next times for you man...
Now you can wait and pray, or try to REBRAND changing your CUST ( C16 ) to another one, like C432 for europe or
C636 for asia and so on... you can find all files you need and serch for a OEMinfo.img+custom.bin closest to the place you live.
( example: i have VNS-L31C02B390 live in europe, will rebrand to C432 ).
Here on XDA you will find some guide / tools that will help you doing this, just use search and READ carefully...

If im not mistaken vns-l31c16 is the South African variant which mtn sells. I got mine through mtn and it seems like they aren't gonna push the nougat firmware out, instead they keep updating marshmallow with the latest security patches.
You best chance is to rebrand to European firmware (c432) and update to nougat
