Unable to change themes. Help! - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

So here is what happened.
Stock latest rom on S7 edge. Installed the S8 themes from XDA.
Installed the S8 theme store and S8 theme center from XDA.
Applied the S8 theme in free trial mode.
Went to App settings, cleared the cache from Themes and Samsung Themes.
Opened Package Disabler Pro, cleared data from themes and Samsung themes and disabled them.
Now I have enabled the themes from Package disabler pro but I can't change the themes.
Restarted the device and tried but no use.
Any solution apart from rooting and formatting?

[Q] Note 3 AT&T: 2-5 second lag after towelroot?

Hey all,
This is my first time rooting a phone, and I have just one minor issue. I did try searching before posting this, but i'm unsure what specifically to search under. Last night, i rooted my AT&T Note 3 via towelroot, and installed a couple of apk's after rooting based on some recommendations I found online:
SuperSU
BootManager
BusyBox
RootChecker
Greenify
Titanium Backup Pro
Xposed Installer with the following modules
Burnt Toast
Disable Battery Full Alert
Disable Samsung Galaxy Gear manager Notification
GravityBox KK
Instagram Downloader
S5 SystemUI Theme for Note 3
SwypeTweaks
Wanam Xposed
XuiMod
YouTube AdAway
My issue is that, based off of something I installed in the above list, my phone now has a 2-5 second lag across the whole system. It's totally random when it happens, but it particularly will happen when i'm unlocking via widgetlocker, or scrolling on any list or feed (facebook, instagram, etc.) - it never did it before, so i'm just looking for a way to diagnose specifically what I installed above that could cause it to do this? What's the best way to go about this without un-installing each of the modules, apks, etc. to find out which one is causing the problem? I've done a full backup right after rooting using Titanium Backup Pro, but i'm yet to restore using it, flash a ROM, or any of the more advanced things like that. just looking to get this squared away before I dive deeper. Any reocmmendations?
Thanks!

[Q] CM11 doesn't seem to be picking up any of the themes I have installed...

Please direct me to the proper thread if my searching failed me.
I updated CM11 two days ago to the most recent nightly as of then, and it seems that none of the themes I have downloaded since then will appear for me to apply them. The themes I had installed previous to the flash are there, but none of the new ones, and if I delete an old theme it doesn't allow for a new theme. I can however re-install a theme that I have deleted and it will appear.
Anyone had this happen before? I have restarted, done a permissions fix, dav wipe, etc.

Help with substratum.

So i have rooted my phone and i used substratum with the swift black theme. Everything works perfectly.
HOWEVER
This is now the 2nd time i update my apps by mistake and i cannot open alot of them, amongst some are magisk module etc. Last time i tried to revert changes trough substratum app but that didnt work(couldnt start apps still) i tried uninstalling but the apps still remained dark and some could not be opened.
Can someone help me out what steps i should take, thanks in advance.
Edit: As i cannot remove my own thread i'll add the solution that finally helped me.
Go into TWRP, find the substratum folder and flash the substratum recovery legacy zip, wipe dalvik/cache and it was fixed.
Go to substratum, delete theme and install again, uncheck new apps until they will be supported by theme
Im using same theme

[FIX] Applying incompatible theme causing system ui stopping

Only tested in MIUI 9 oreo could work with nougat too
If your phone stopped working after applying a theme making your system ui stop and a black lockscreen you can easily fix it by doing what i found out as i didn't see anything on it anywhere else
Requirements
-unlocked bootloader
-TWRP recovery installed
Reboot to recovery then open file manager in advanced window
Go to /data/system/theme
Then delete the files with app names that stops
Like
com.android.systemui
Then just reboot and you're done ?
Nice
thanks, i wish i read this befoe reformatting my phone because of a theme i applied that made EVERYTHING dark and unusable. Xiaomi does fantastic hardware but the software side is pure ass.
Also forcing you to use their app to change themes is so greedy, at least make it work.
Same Problem with Miui 8
