Slimrom is supposed to be rooted. To activate it, open Settings>About phone. Tap build number 7 times. Settings will now include Developer options. Tap Developer options>Root access. Choose Apps and ADB. You should be Rooted.
The bad news is that I did all of that for my SM-T320 tablet (mondrianwifi) and Root Checker still shows Not Rooted. So your mileage may vary.
The developer options doesn't seem to have the Root Access option. I'm using Slimrom 7.1.2 for Nexus 9.

When your phone boots , you will get a pop up from supersu to grant access to adb shell and you should press grant
Then go to the supersu app and update su binary if needed
By the way my model is WW_WIFI not CN_WIFI but it should work.
sent from a galaxy far far away.

its the same as mine.
Hey!
I own a yoga 10 tablet, which my father bought from China. The problem is that Google and thus the play-store isn't a big thing there. I figured that I could get the google-apps and play-store installed by rooting the device. At this point I have to mention that this is my first time rooting a device.
I tried both methods mentioned on this thread, but nothing seems to work. The drivers are installed correctly, Kingo recognizes the device and it even says Root successful. The problem though is the same mentioned before on this thread: I get no ADB popup and the update for SU binary fails every time. So Kingo says its rooted, but its not.
I am totally lost with this, and I dont understand what am I doing wrong.
Its a Lenovo B8000-F and the build is B8000_A422_000_050_131126_CN_WIFI.
Thanks in advance for any help or insight!

worked like a charm on B8000-A422-000-072-140122-WW-WIFI
maybe you could add, that you have to turn on "USB-Storage" and that you find the developer options if you tip 7times on the "build number":good:
Now we've got root, any chance of a custom recovery/ROM? Or maybe someone compiling the cifs.ko modules for the b8000?

I have yoga 8", rooted with VRoot
I would like to root my yoga 10 to remove bottom menu bar.... but I'm afraid that then warranty is void.
So is there any nice method to unroot or go back to complete stock? I saw the russian factory rom, but I guess it is not exactly the same as I have now (european).

you can unroot the device from the same app(kingo root) but you should know that rooting always voids your warranty.
Thanks for the hint. My doubt is: is there an obvious way to check if this device was rooted and unrooted? Let's say the speakers stop working then I unroot, send it for repair and hope they do not notice if device was once rooted. Anyway I always root my devices, but it't good to know

I justo root mine... Yupiiiii ..... Same software as desc here.. B8000-000-072-140122-ww-wifi--- and just wondering if any one has a custom room!!?
CyanogenMod 10.2
A custom ROM should be available shortly within the next few weeks/months. I found a group of developers on the Cyanogen Wiki developing for the Yoga 10". There dev group is called TeamYogaBlade, google that for the link to their GitHub. This includes all their latest updates and the possibility to join their developments, thus bringing upon a first custom ROM faster.

Hello everyone,
I finally rooted my Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 and I'm really enjoying the benefits of a rooted phone.
So far so good. I have just one Problem: I seem to not be able to install .apk files I downloaded from the internet even tough I allowed the installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store in the settings menu. You can see it here.
I didn't change a thing after rooting and I had no problems before the root. I also rebooted a couple of times already.
To root my Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 I used the Auto-Root method from Chainfire (awesome guy! :good: ) that can be found here. My Adroid version ist 4.4.2.
I am really thankful for all your help. I appreciate it!
Sincerely Nero
Didn't do anything but it seems to be working again.

Just go here: https://towelroot.com/
Tap the lambda, install the .apk, then "make it rain"! After that, download SuperSU from the app store. Run that. Afterward, download Rootchecker from the app store to confirm root.
It's nice to have root on this device, but it seems ROM development is dead. Mainly due to the locked bootloader. This device is becoming a fancy paperweight more than anything else, sadly.

Sadly most verizon devices are slowly becoming dead as far as rom development. Thankfully I have the WiFi version 3113 and don't have a locked bootloader

2) This is a little crazy and took me some guts to ask, Are we able to Install IOS on Xiaomi 4G after it has been root?
- I think everthing is possible and its only if we have found a way to do it.
Let me thank you in advance for reading my this. If you do know how to root Xiaomi4 4G i will really be thankful and appreciate if you can send me the link for the root file and instruction for rooting.
Thank you.

Yes, they are very different devices soc related.
If you are on latest miui v6,the only way to root is by flashing developer ROM version, a weekly rock stable version who brings root natively.
You can find that version on download section of en.miui.com look for you specific device.

Hi,
I just got a Redmi Note 4G through a friend in China, do I need to root it before able to sign in to Google account? Seems I am having trouble signing in. Apparently my friend told me China has officially blocked Google so is this the reason why I am not able to sign in because the phone has to go through Xiaomi server in China? I am using the phone in Singapore.
Thanks for your tips in advance!
I have a Global version, but installed China Miui v6, and able to login to Google, after installing gapps.

doesnt work for 4G variant
Option not given
I have MIUI 6.6.1 and root permission not given what i do.
Install philz recovery!
Okay so here is the simple way that worked for me..
1.Download Philz recovery for Redmi note 4G(dior) zip. It is on XDa. Just Google "Philz recovery for Redmi Note 4G) it is the first link. Download the 'miuies' named file.
2. Open the updater app in your phone and in options select 'choose update package' and select the zip you downloaded.
3. The phone will go to recovery mode and install philz recovery.
4. Now again open updater app and select 'reboot to recovery.'
5. Now you will be on philz recovery. In the list of options there is an option to root the device. Tap on it and confirm it. Bingo! Rooted phone and you get Philz recovery as well which is a part of clockworkmod.
Hope this helps.
Also. As far as iOS install is concerned it will be way more complicated and not really worth it. For the look you can try the iOs theme in the theme store.

Your in luck!
The solid answer is that the Bootloader for the Verizon GS5 with the "CID11" Cannot be Unlocked (ONLY the "CID15" can).
Your only option is the ability to use the Customized TW Firmware (TW = TouchWiz) via SafeStrap.
The OP on the following thread provides further information on your options as well as instructions if you do decide to go with TW Firmware and SafeStrap.
