My Samsung galaxy S7 edge is stuck! i rooted it & tried to flash firmware with one of the apps and now everytime i try to boot it up it gets stuck on the at&t logo and I've got no idea how to fix!!!!! Holding power+volume up+home only loads a screen that says power off device and take it too the nearest at&t store near me. any advice or information that could solve this would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't heard of flashing a firmware with an app in a LONG time, so I'm not too sure what you did there. I can only assume you were on Nougat(?). I would go HERE, and if you can get into Download Mode (Power+Volume Down+Home), Odin back to that stock firmware
Did you use flashfire to flash the zip file? I'm guessing you were trying to flash the hybrid Rom? If so you'll have to odin back to stock.

Hi there. I think I soft-bricked my phone. I am running mf3 firmware on my i337 galaxy s4 and i tried to flash Graviton. I was using safestrap and I, like an idiot, didn't use a romslot and did it over my stock. Seemed to work fine until I actually booted the phone. It can't access wifi and therefore wont go past the find wifi screen. I try to enter recovery but it just keeps going to the download screen. After trying every way I could find I still cant either wipe my phone or flash the stock firmware. I have tried kies and odin but nothing works. Can anyone help me out or am I royally screwed?

as long as the phone can go into download mode, you can use odin to reflash the stock firmware (and factory recovery). Check samsungupdates for your model/region and stock/official firmware. You'd have to re-root after. I did the same thing a while back, lost my recovery and this is the method I used to bring my phone back to life, was just sitting at the samsung logo and had no recovery (but had download mode).

Does Odin recognize the phone? Also, when you say it won't go past the "find wifi" screen, does that mean it booted to the "Welcome" screen?

Sorry should have edited the first post. I actually fixed my original problem and am now having a different one. I got all the way through nd did a restore of my stock rom. I then tried to flash the graviton one to a different rom-slot in safestrap. So now there is a completely different partition in the storage and the flash didnt work so I'm now completely stuck in download mode. I have tried to flash the tar files in odin and it fails every time. I should have all of the necessary files for mf3.

If you have the 16GB Galaxy, try flashing this file in the PIT slot in Odin.. Don't put any other files in the PDA slot, etc. It's worked many times when phone would only boot to download..

Hey Nerdyblonde, what does this pit file do?
I softbricked my phone when trying to flip from CWM to TWRP. (Thought I could just wipe phone and odin flash on top of CWM... VERY WRONG). Now I can't get into recovery and my phone is telling me to use kies recovery *shudder*. So I tried kies when I couldn't Odin flash to stock rom and still nothing.

Sorry it took a few days to answer.. The Kies screen was the same thing that happened to me... I have the MF3 version, so I can't install custom recovery, but I couldn't boot into recovery period. I flashed that pit file in the pit box on Odin, it restored my recovery.
Do you have MDL or MF3? If you have MDL, I would be really careful not to flash MF3 unless you want to stick with basically stock until one of the geniuses here figures out how to unlock the bootloader.
i installed safe strap and got gold finger rom working now im locked out when i try to boot in recovery it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again i have download mode no recovery what can i do to fix stock recovery for samsung galaxy s4 can it be fixed i tried flashing with odin the stock recovery that fixed it last time it fails when it get to the last boot check
There is no real use for the stock recovery. What are you really trying to achieve?

You needed the pit file because of the re-partition option ticked in Odin.
After I updated my Verizon Galaxy S5 to Lollipop, I tried to flash a lower version official .tar through Odin, and got stuck in a bootloop I can still flash .tars through Odin, but I cannot actually use my phone. How do I get my phone working again? Can I?

Can you be more specific? What TAR did you flash? Did you flash an older corresponding kernel?
What is your ultimate goal?
Thanks

I figured out how to restore on my own. Turns out I can only restore to NCG. I fixed my own problem. Thanks for helping though!
To any users who visit this form in the future, you can only flash back to NCG after updating to OTA Stock Lollipop.

This is not true. You can restore back to whatever version you want. If you get stuck in a bootloop just hold down the home, volume down and power buttons for about 10 seconds and the phone will boot in to a maintenance menu. From there select factory data reset with the volume down key and then press the home button to execute the option. It should boot normally after that. To avoid this just enter the stock recovery after flashing the tar in Odin and factory data reset from there.
I think I know what you did

If you downgraded the kernal it won't let you so you have to go back to a lower verison of android or flash the lollipop kernel
Rooted the device with Odin. But couldn't for the life of me find a recovery for it. Flash a ton through Odin then final got a TWRP recovery to work.. When I wiped everything I was instructed to I tried to flash the rom I found (Bliss) I got a could not mount preload error.. And another error I can't recall. Then it just kept looping. So I ran the root file through Odin again.. And it now just boots straight to the Samsun logo and sits there until you hold power vol down (or up) and home till it switches to download or recovery. The TWRP is gone somehow and its stock again.
Hope this isn't confusing... I'll answer any questions and try any suggestion... PLEASE HELP

As far as I know there aren't any custom recoveries or roms working for your model number, so that's why nothing is working properly. Your only solution would appear to be to download the stock firmware and flash back to stock with Odin.

Thanks for the link! I'll do that as soon as I get home.
Do you know if there's any way to get a custom rom onto my tablet?

Unfortunately I'm fairly certain there are no custom Roms available for your tablet

Thats ok
I started the flsh of the stock firmware...seems hung up...does it take very long time to load?... the status hasnt changed in like 5 minutes.
did you get twrp to work? Im trying to get that installed so I can use xposed on the same model I believe sm-t537r4 I have it currently rooted
So I have a galaxys s5 g900f which i cleared it from a rom i used before and got it back to the original form of it. Got the .tar.md5 file of the official galaxy software from sammobile and installed it with odin. After that I wanted to root my phone again and stick with the official software. I tried to do that by the way I always used to with CF-Auto-Root using Odin once more and after downloading the file my phone was normally rebooting to recovery but it actually got stuck there without doing anything. Tried to flash twrp too but still nothing. The only thing i can flash at the time is the official software. Anyone had this issue before and can help? Thanks in advance
Flash the stock ROM again and get your phone back up and working properly
Then use this guide to root / twrp
