Apparently , the SGT has SRS 5.1 audio enhancement. I have some questions about this:
1.How do I activate this for movies and music?
2.Can this be used in conjunction with a 3rd party music player with equalizer, such as power amp?
3.I can't find the settings for SRS, does it have SRS wow effect and SRS truBass, like in windows media player for PC?
Would love for my tab to sound like my PC with SRS thru headphones! thanks!

Well, you click it at the top of your music player or video player. its on the right of the volume bar
ok , but then you can't use it in with other effects and/or equalizer?

Yes it has the stock FX module with 5 band EQ, Bass Boost and 3D sound.
Just wondering if you guys use DTS audio?
of course, the sound feels so much better, without it its just, boring, with no life

I guess it depends on the genre of music you listen to and the headphones /earphones you use, I find it makes the audio sound less crisp and removes the depth of the low end. It also comes down to personal preference.

im using Piston 3 for dayli use, and Sony MDR-V700DJ for more serious listening. DTS is lossy format so its not the same quality as stock audio file, but i think its negligible diference for common people and the overall experience from music is better with DTS enabled, it feels more alive and it makes you like you are surounded by the music :good:
Headphones I use.

I use Sony MDR-XB700 over ear headphones for serious listening, for casual listening I use Sony MDR-10rc, I have the same issue with both of these headphones. I also have the same issue with my monster 24k and monster DNA.
Is this a problem? I also use a Topping NX2 headphone amplifier. The issue is there with or without the amplifier so I doubt that it is the problem.

It also depends on that what audio file format are you listening. Most of my music is MP3 but i have couple albums in FLAC, there is noticable difference in quality between those formats, but i cant not hear big difference with DTS enabled or disabled in case of quality. Next thing is, DTS is not for everyone, it also depends on genre as you mentioned, i have some tracks which sound better with no edits, some Rock, Jezz music etc, but for Trap, Techno, Pop etc it is pleasure.
Are you using stock music player?

is there any other audio app that can utilize DTS other then stock player?
as rest ITT, i use stock player with DTS for electronic music.
I switch off DTS or use another player (Black player is GREAT) for my metal and acoustic guitar needs.

DTS is working with every player i tried, you just need disable in-player enhancements and equalizers

Emui has DTS option in settings, that option applies DTS systemwide. Music player has DTS option to include or exclude DTS effect to music, some people like DTS in movies but not in Music etc.

no problem, i was confused about that first time too, but figured it out
Is there any music player/audio tuner/equalizer i can use to use the full bass in my earphones because the default audio tuner sucks with such flat bass. My previous zenfone had audiowizard and got good bass. I get bass in laptops/other phones.
I personally use ViPER4Android FX 2.5.0.5 [Unity/AML] which is working well.
Just install Snapdragon music player. Enable both audio tuner and Snapdragon+ equalizer. You'll be amazed by the sound quality. No root required. Tune the equalizer according to your need.
How about this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342/page303
