Hi guys,
i need an help.
After i changed my touchscreen+frame with an aftermarket part, my huawei p8 lite can't find 3G network operator. Detect just 4G band but can't lock it.
Any way to troubleshoot?
After i pressed with finger on down-left point of antenna appears 3G operator and lock for some time, but after i left it don't work anymore. Looks like some point of antenna is not connecting good, i tried to lift the copper pins that touch with antenna but without results.
Have a nice day!

I have just got an XDA Exec from O2 and I have just put my Orange SIM in and it works, so the unit is unlocked.
Now my last phone was a Nokia 6310i and that maintained a GSM signal at my house very well.
BUT the new XDA Exec does not and the GSM Signal is coming and going. If I can't resolve this I will have to return the unit and go back to the old phone!!!
So is there anything I can do to hold the GSM signal better? Is there a ROM that is better? I am currently running the latest O2 ROM.
Regards
Ben
I had this problem because the Band is set to auto. In my area there is a very weak 3G signal (UMTS) so the phone would get stuck trying to latch on to 3G, then would bounce back to GPRS etc etc.... Better to switch the Band to GSM (also saves battery power) and only switch to WCDMA(3G) when you really need it. Click on the signal icon, then settings, then Band, and change it to "GSM". Worked for me.
Would be nice if we could get a little shortcut to make this switch easier with one click. Anybody have any ideas or know of any little app that will toggle between GSM and UMTS(WCDMA) for us?
Done that already and it is still not working well
Hi, my i9505 has dead power button so i searched on the net and i i bought a not-working i9505 motherboard.
The problem was "sometimes it doesn't connect to the cellular network".
I installed the motherboard, sim was read correctly, insert pin.
All seems fine except it has serious problem registering to the network, and when it does ( maybe 1 or 2 times every 10/15 try ) it can only work in 2g mode, so only edge connection.
When it connectes in EDGE, after a few seconds, it disconnects, i see signal bars change and i understand it's connecting to 3G or 4G. Signal bars comes, but it acts like if it doesn't know how to communicate in that mode.
Using *#00111# i can see LTE freq. which is using.
I already tried unlocking using PERSO SHA256 OFF... unuseful try
Can you help me?
P.S. I forgot to say that IMEI seems fine, efs too.
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a LG G2 D802 16GB from Amazon. Everything is working good, I only have one huge issue: the network... Every time the phone connects to 3G, it stays strong for a few minutes then the signal quality goes down until it disconnects and falls back to EDGE, which is very slow.
I'm on AT&T in the US. I bought the international one because I'm coming back to France in a few months. I had no problems with my Galaxy Note n7000 to connect to H+ before, and they share the same 3G bands. Both phones are running CM13.
I tried changing the SIM, flashing an older baseband, opening up the phone to try to improve the antenna contacts, nothing has fixed the issue. I have no problems with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or GPS. I'm downloading a stock ROM to test it right now.
Should I change the speaker + antenna assembly? If I understood correctly this is where the mobile antenna is. Thank you.
I opened my phone again and used a multimeter. The black and white antenna connectors are good and the speaker/antenna assembly looks good too, what could be the issue?
i have a inetrnational d802 version too running on cm 12.1. Try typing *#*#4636#*#* in dialer and from there phone info or something(im from estonia, so mine is telefoniteave) its the first choice. From there, select network type lte/wcdma.
Its the only fix that i have found so far, but you will have to do it every time you restart your phone.
I have the S7 Edge from AT&T (SM-G935A) and I get terrible reception at work. I have to turn airplane mode on and off 3-5 times during my lunch break just to send a few texts. I also have an older unlocked Note 5 (SM-N920C) which will struggle a bit but will still send and receive every text after a few seconds (20-30) of spinning its little wheel. So the question is why would an unlocked non carrier specific phone lock onto the AT&T signal better than an AT&T phone? I've been into the AT&T store and nthey seem to have no idea. The S7 Edge works great anywhere that I have a couple bars of LTE but when it's struggling with 1 bar of LTE or just plain 4G it's not so great. Any suggestions?
That type of subtle difference in coverage can be caused by the little differences in design. Phones today mostly use the frame for the antenna, so Samsung has to make adjustments for the edge, and the Note 5 simply has more room for the antenna. I haven't pulled the edge apart, but that's my guess based on years in the industry.
The other possibility is that it's struggling to keep an LTE 'enhanced' connection for HD Voice and video calling, which of course an int'l Note doesn't have. Try turning off enhanced LTE in mobile data settings & see if it makes a difference. Or maybe try switching to the HSPA+ 'wap' apn and maybe if it isn't always looking for LTE it'll hold the connection longer
Motorola phone for u bro they have the best signal of any phone I've ever used. Also some believe the way you hold it matters. And cases may effect signal strength. Some buildings affect signal strength as well maybe try a different location.? The note gets better signal because of the size.

Thanks for the suggestions. I switched to the unlocked S7 Edge (935F) and it works even better than the Note 5 did. It makes no sense at all.

i have same problem,any fix?
FYI, the code you show is incorrect, it should be *#*#4636#*#*. I get an invalid code error message if I use your code.
Hello all, I've got an issue that needs resolving.
So recently I replaced the screen and digitizer for the phone. All connection reconnect as should be. My issue is that when the phone is powered on it does not receive any cellular data/connection. Yet, I can pick up wifi connections. I know that the antenna is not the issue, I have already tested the phones original NFC antenna / Charging coil on another phone, works fine. I have tried resetting the network settings, changing cellular towers, yet no luck. My only guesses are the connections from the motherboard / antenna being worn out, or having a problem with the SIM card reader in the motherboard. Any suggestions?

Problem solved. The connection from the motherboard and charging port board were loose.
