Hi
Sorry if this post isn't in the right section, but i cannot post anywhere...
So, i recently bought an android autoradio, MTCd_MX_V2.40_1
And i searching a stock recovery (or custom working recovery, like twrp or cwm), because i accidentaly flash a wrong recovery.
And i cannot flash new firmware or specifick aps (lire xposed...)

What kind of processor does your device mount? You could flash a custom rom with a pre-installed recovery, but it depends on your hardware...

I have a rk3188. but i can't flash any rom... because recovery is not good...

[Q] how to load custom roms?

hi every one, i just rooted my Tattoo using universal androot and wondered how to load custom roms because ROM Manager wont load them or at start up it shows a phone with a triangle
any help would be much appreciated
Seems that you have the factory recovery, you need to flash a custom recovery image to be able to flash custom roms.
Search the stickies in development section and you' ll find infos about flashing etc..

I found the solution. first install this recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/orig-development/recovery-t-r-p-2-8-6-t3070779
now you install ths custom rom with it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/eli...e-e7-discovery-elite-porting-project-t3009765
and then you will be able for shutting down the phone and flash the stock rom with gncq.
Thanks for replying. Can you also tell me which stock recovery you flashed.

sincerely i dont know. i just flashed the stock rom with the instructions that i gave (flash twrp, flash monirom, power off, flash stock rom with gnqc). i think the stock recovery is included in the stock rom file, so i think is the blu life pure xl one (i flashed the blu stock rom, because my phone is one). i thinkif you fash the gionee stock rom, you will be flashing the gionee stock recovery too. you can find the stock rom in android xda (just search "gionee elife e7 stock rom" in google)

[n900]stock rom 5.0-cwm needed[help]

I am pretty new to android and I need help, Thanks.
I have unrooted note 3 exynos[N900] running on stock rom 5.0 lollipop but I want to flash a custom rom for which I need a CWM recovery but all the CWM recoveries for my device are available for Kitkat[4.4] and I am not sure will flashing the same recovery on my stock 5.0 is gonna work or not (and I don't wanna brick my device ). It will be of great help if someone helps me out finding a suitable CWM recovery. Thanks again
The recovery that needs to be installed on a phone needs to support the ROM that needs to be flashed.
That being said, an incompatible recovery will result in an error when flashing an incompatible ROM. Most note3 users are using TWRP to flash a custom ROM and make nandroid backups.
I recommend looking at the TWRP website (https://twrp.me/Devices/) and flash the latest release for the phone.

Sir, all the TWRP recoveries are originally for kk .. will flashing the same on stock 5.0 work ??
The recovery is flashed according to the device, not the installed rom. The latest twrp should be fine with 5.0.
Thanks (Y)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079 can you please say if it's okay to flash this cwm recovery... I am a bit doubtful since the recovery filename has "kk" as a substring (kitkat) in it.
I believe 6.0.4.7 is the last version of cwm released for the device. If you want to get the latest for your device, check out https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager

Possible to revert to stock recovery?

Hi,
I am currently trying to get into Andriod Development. I have an old Note 4 that I can play with and want to try some things. Haven't done so yet.
So, I understood that it is necessary to move to a custom recovery to be able to root the phone or to flash custom ROMs. I think I also understood to go back to the stock ROM.
However, an information I haven't found yet is: If I flash a custom Recovery, e.g. CWM or TWRP, is it possible to revert to the stock recovery in any way?
thanks in advance.

Yes, you flash via Odin the firmware for your phone model - https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Yes, you can use the repair 4 files firmware for your phone model (example here is 910C) - https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=1268
Yes, use Samsung Smart Switch for PC - like here

flashing troubles

I'm having trouble flashing my P8lite with a custom rom, every rom I try twrp tells me it's for hi6210sft and my device is a p8litekirin.
Anyone know a fix for this, or point me in the direction of a rom that does work with p8litekirin?
(I can flash it with a stock rom but then I'd need to install TWRP again, as somehow latest stock firmware seems to overwrite and keeps overwriting custom recovery at every attempt I tried to install. Needed to do a rollback via adb to get twrp working again)
Thanks in advance
First of all before flashing any custom ROM on this device flash B896 first.
It's normal for the custom recovery to be replaced with stock one when you flash stock firmware.
After you flashed B896, reboot the phone into bootloader mode aka fastboot, flash twrp and then try to flash a custom rom of your choice.
