Please post in the "Accessories" subforum. Also, all power banks should work but QC 2/3.0 batteries would work the best as the G4 has quick charge.
The moto g4 plus has a 3000mA battery and sometimes heats a lot. I would suggest something around 4000mA that could give at least a complete charge . Take something big though, because if the powerbank warms up the phone will do it as well, so no chinese stuff!
Been using Anker's PowerCore 10000 with QuickCharge 3.
The phone accept it as if was a turbopower charger.
From it's 10.000mah it delivers an usable power of 6000. Witch means 2 100% charges.

Just for ****s and giggles. I decided to use my Turbo Charger on all Moto Devices. My Acer A-200 went from 20% to 100% in 30 minutes. I know The Acer is not Moto. Just saying. My Droid Turbo Went from 0% to 100% in Like 20 minutes. Did the same thing with my free tablet that Verizon added an xtra line to my bill which I did not know. The QMV7B which by the way I have already rooted. C'mon Turbo let's get our root on. But any hoot. The tab went from 10% to 100% also in 15 minutes. In theory does the Turbo pack work for all devices?

I could be wrong, but the basic theory is you are shoving ALOT of amps down those batteries throats. The Droid Turbo battery is designed to handle this while the other devices...I dont know. My normal charger is 1A and I have a 2A charger in my car those devices are normally meant for Apple products. So mainly yeah the charger technically works and charges stuff fast, but it 'could' shorten the lifespan of your battery if it's not meant to handle that high a charge rate.
This is TERRIVKR!! DO NOT USA THE CHARGER ON OTHER PHONES. I WROTE a huge thing pm my phone about this. SwiftKey sucks ass on xda and idk why. Not correcting any of its mistakes (hit back button by accident and that erased what I originally wrote) . This is no new technology and it's just some bull money maker. It's terrible for batteries and can cause them toeexplod. It mmakes the turbo hot wwhen charging it..... You don't want that junk. I refuse to use this charger.
I had read the bundled charger will charge non quick charge 2.0 compatible devices at normal rates. Your tests are indicating otherwise.

The Turbo's battery is designed to charge fast, it's similar anode coating technology used in the battery banks of electric vehicles to give them a quick charge. All Li-Ion batteries have internal power management circuitry (PMIC) that are designed to charge that battery responsibly and prevent thermal runaway. That being said, I would not charge a device at a higher amperage than it is designed for, these PMICs are not infallible and thermal runaway can still occur. So to the OP: I would stick to using the charger that came with the respective device you are charging, a venting Li-Ion battery's gasses turns into hydrofluoric acid when it makes contact with water, ie the moisture in your throat and lungs. Not worth the hospital visit for ****s and giggles!

The Turbo (or other Quick charge compatible chargers) DO NOT do their thing because of higher amperage, they use higher VOLTAGE the lower the battery's reported discharge. If you looks at the words printed on your charger you will see that it operates at three different voltages but always the same maximum amperage (1.4-1.6 amps) which is still lower than the amperage provided by newer Samsung chargers (2 amps). It starts high voltage then steps down as the battery fills. There is also circuitry in the charger itself that checks to see if a Qualcomm chipset is present that can handle the new charging logic.
Here is a list of devices and chargers that can "quick" charge https://www.qualcomm.com/news/snapdragon/2014/06/04/quick-charge-20-has-arrived. If it doesn't have Qualcomm snapdragon, the device will just use the charger as a normal 5v 1.6 amp charger.

You are correct, the bundled charger specifically states on the charging block the amperage that it will provide various devices. I charged my droid bionic with it, took normal time.
Anybody using turbo charger or quick charger with Moto g4 play?. I got charger which is very slow.
Which charger are you using guys?. Any battery problem with fast charging?

I use standard USB brick with 2A/10W capacity. Phone accepts ~1600mAh during primary stage which is reasonable given device specs. A full charge can usually be achieved in under 3 hours.

Yeah some people got 10w charger. I am just wondering what if i use turbo charger. I spoke to customer care they said it will. I found same news on Reddit pages, they are getting good backup of 6hrs. Is that a turbo charger of yours?. If not what's difference in Amps between normal charger band turbo charger?

Skip the overpriced turbo charger which will not yield better performance on this device. Fastest uptake is around 1600mAh which is well within reach of any reasonable 10W charger. A few higher end devices support Quick/Turbo charging (including the G4/G4 Plus) which allows the battery to briefly accept a higher charge rate for a quick 15 min boost (say from 60-80%). Otherwise they perform the same as standard chargers. Score one for the marketing department if you buy in for G4 Play which technically has the hardware to handle turbo charging; however, by all accounts (and my observations) it is not enabled by Motorola...likely due to the run-of-the-mill battery in this device.

I've used the turbo charger that came with the moto g turbo and it charges noticeably faster(also gets hotter).
The battery once fully charged lasted the same amount of time for me with both the stock and the turbo charger, so no problems there.

This is the exact charger, I can't be 100% sure about this but I haven't experienced any battery problems personally.
I bought the phone on Amazon India and it came with a rapid charger ... Phone charges to about 50% in 30 minutes and then the charging rate drops .. full charge takes about 2.5 hours

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the LG V30 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

sadly after 1 year, the charger that came with the phone is dead LG is unwilling to replace one for me because warranty for accessories is only 6 months. so disappointed with LG in terms of quality of materials as well as customer service. Customer service wise, I was disappointed because they did not read my email clearly and sent me an automated reply. wasted my time going to LG service centre...

If you mean the LG wall charger, luckily there are very inexpensive QuickCharge 3.0 replacements. Some even come with 10ft charging cord included; useful for when wall outlet is a few feet away.
There's also QuickCharge 3.0 dual port car chargers.

I've bought several over the years.
i am using MI power bank, charging is good, but heats sometimes
My phone wont charge faster than 1A. Tried 3-4 charging mods but still 1A. Its not fast [email protected] is qc3.0 ..help v30 h930 root stock rom
My v30 charges faster than my v40?!?
Had bout 2% battery left when I plugged in my v30 to charge on a QC 3.0 charger, noticed it started at 2970mA. It's now just over 10 mins into it, I'm at 40%, it's still sucking in juice at 2865mA, see screenshot.
Accubattery says in 13 mins I'll have 80% and in 20 mins, it'll be fully charged.
Keep in mind, according to Accubattery, I only have 70% of the original capacity left 2300mAh vs the original 3300mAh (2nd screenshot) so that's why it seems faster than usual.
It's clear my battery's dying a slow death, but least it charges up fast, I can't get over 1900mA on my v40, no matter what charger Im using?! It's so weird?!
Anyone knows if the original charger is "intelligent", meaning it cuts power/charging when battery is fully charged?

Generally speaking, it's not the charger that's "intelligent" but rather the phone. It stops powering the charge circuit when the battery is full. Yes, that is the case with the V30...
The phone's QC chip also allows it to charge at higher rates, if the charger supports it (9V and higher charge voltages). Again, that's in the phone primarily, but in this case the charger needs to comply as well, of course.
Thanks, mate. Truly appreciated
1% per minute with a QC 3.0 charger and cable
Hello Guys,
Everyone know that is not good to our phones battery use other chargers that is not from Samsung. So, my question is: is safe to use power bank ? If yes, wich one is recomended for our phone ?
Sorry my bad english :cyclops:
I have the ravpower 26800mah usb-c version. Power banks work just fine with my s8. I've used multiple ones also.
Using this powerbank, the S8 charger fast ? And the battery life is good charging with powerbank ?

I use a couple power banks I have. One being a 12,000 mah battery on a flashlight I have. But it only charges at regular 5 volt speeds...
I use a Choetech 6 ports usb hub 50 watts total and it charges = to or better than samsungs power blocks
In the end it depends on the output capacities of the charger source and capabilities of the Usb cable As long as its advertised power out put is that or greater than Samsungs fast charge should work just fine
If I use any charger that isn't from Samsung, the phone will tell me, but I use the Anker powerCore 20100mAh, works really well, chargers my phone like a normal charger, but lately I've been having trouble charging it at a good speed(with 30% it gives me 4hours to fully charge), only using the power bank gives me this problem, and only my phone. I've tried talking with the support of both companies, they blame the other. Still turning it off chargers it extremely fast.

Hi all,
My original turbo charger died after I man handled it.
I'm looking for a good turbo charger (not the original one coz it costs ₹1200/-) on Flipkart as a sale is going on currently.
Any recommendations from long term users?
Thanks.

I would say don't use Turbo Charger, fast charger generally degrades the battery life. If your stock charger is not working then you should buy a 5V 2A aftermarket charger which will work fine. Flipkart SmartBuy 2A Fast Charger will do the job, I'm using this charger right now.

Buy any fast charger that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 i.e the same technology used in Moto turbo chargers.
Well, to preserve battery life expectancy, I've ordered a Sony 2.1A charger from Flipkart for 250/- (on offer though)

But you will definitely miss the fast charging.
I don't know about Flipkart, but Aukey Quick Chargers have always worked well for me... Remember, Turbo Charge is just Quick Charge without the Qualcomm licensing fee.

Yeah, totally but it's already a 1.5 year old device, got it as soon as it came out. So I'd better off preserve the life span of this original battery. I charge the phone over night however.

I have several of these... Once at work, one at home, one in my overnight bugout bag, and one in my computer bag, plus I think my kids have a couple as well, you get the idea.
The work on anything, Pixel, Samsung, LG, Moto, whatever (except OnePlus and a couple others), but they support Quick/Turbo charging on anything that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge or Moto Turbo Charge (it is literally the same thing, provided at the chip level of the Snapdragon processor).
