Any way to enable missing/hidden LTE bands ? I'm interested in Band 66 which is a superset of Band 4.
Anyone? I am in the same boat as freedom mobile recently started turning on their LTE network on grandfathered plans.
Any help would be much appreciated.
In the same boat, hope Band 66 could somehow be enabled.
Try *#546368#*990#, then navigate to Field Test, then modem settings, then LTE band selection...
Be careful to note the path of navigation and the values changed...donot try if not sure...
unwanted fiddling will result failure to identify network signals...
Anyone have succrss with above mentioned procedure?

Go to settings>more>mobile networks>network mode and select wcdma only If you don't have signal than probably that phone doesn't support certain frequency the one your carrier uses for 3g, that happens when you buy phone on foregin country or your carries simply uses some other than usual frequencies.

This is the only thing that worked for me on Galaxy Note 8. And to be honest, I prefer disabling unwanted bands than locking to a single band anyways! Thanks a stack mate
Hi everyone,
Network signal guru is not working on rooted Oneplus 5. It shows the details and all but i wanted to use its Lte Band Locking functionality. However Lte band option is not visible in the options list.
or else if anyone could point to the correct secret menu code for this phone for native lte band selection?
or some other app which can force lock onto specific lte bands on this phone?
Thanks
Is there a way to determine the current band (LTE/UMTS) that I am using with a stock phone without root? I tried the service menu (*#lgmenu#*910#) but I don't see any options available to select LTE band.
I don't know about the H910, but on some variants, in the hidden menu, you go to Field Test -> Modem Settings, and you can see an LTE Band Selection menu there. However, if there is no reset option, then I don't think it's safe to mess around with the bands there since you could be stuck on a single LTE band.
For checking what current band you're on, you can use one of those network signal analysis apps like LTE Discovery, Network Cell Info, or SignalCheck. Their main functions should work without root access.
