Who has gone through this and how was the device you got from Google. I guess they are refurbished? They have new screen and housing?

I just got one....I'm on Verizon and it came with 7.1.1 NOF27B....
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
The replacement I got let me toggle the bootloader unlock and I'm on 7.1.2. I've also found that the body of the phone feels more metal then my old one and it's heavier....not much but slightly.

I have had a replacement, the one i received was new and not refurbished.
Here is a little more discussion on this topic, albeit there were only a handful of responses in that thread as well.

mine came new but in a small package so no accessories but that's understandable since they asked me to send back just the phone
oh and picture of the box it came in...
It came with same exact packaging as my original order, brand new. I did choose the order replacement while still having original though, not the send yours back, wait for replacement.

That box.
They told me straight up they send refurbished.
Not a problem though since their refurbished units should get all new external parts and go through more testing then brand new units.
I will get mine tomorrow. Hoping for a perfect device.

No you do not, like I mentioned my dad directly contacted Samsung and they took care of him. I know plenty of people who contact the manufacturer and got help. When I had a problem with my Moto n6 from Verizon, I contacted Motorola and they took care of me as well. If I had a problem with a washing machine, I don't contact the store I bought it from, I contact the manufacturer.

You're missing the point of my post. You can go to the place of purchase first to see if they will swap out the device without dealing with a headache. If the device is past their policy, then you go to the manufacturer. Every product in the USA is typically done that way with the exception of extremely large items such as a vehicle whether it's land or sea.
I did not say your dad was wrong, but he could have went to ATT first. I have went to Google for device replacements that I did not purchase from them, but not until after I check with the place I purchased the device to see if they would comply switch it out.
Furthermore, go to the 6P forum, Google has been replacing devices for people that didn't purchase it from them directly. Even devices that are a year out of manufacturer warranty.

Of course not! The seller has no feedback and probably intended the price to be $350, not $35.
Somebody should purchase one and see if they can get it for 35 dollars

F-it. If it's fake, I'll put a case in with PayPal. If it's legit, my wife just got a new phone (I already have the S3) and we're both happy. I was literally just looking at T-Mobile to upgrade her line when I saw this thread lol.
I read the description several times over, it doesn't have anything sketchy in it.
I'm thinking the guy might have screwed up and meant to put $350 CD, not $35. It's either that, or they're fake.
Wow I just saw this post and I'm like : what if it's a mistake and I have to act quickly ?
What if it's a fake and maybe paypal won't give me my money back ?
And if it's a mistake , this poor guy just lost number of sales * 325$ ... should I make it number of sales +1 ? ^^
Anyway if it's a mistake he'll rather pay you back than send it , so I guess this isn't worth a try for me
Hope I won't regret it , but thanks for sharing

Will do man.
He's sold 90 of the 99 available.
If these are fake and he's running a scam, he'll clear $4000 probably with those 99 units lol.
Can't wait until tomorrow to find out if these clear payment and ship or I get a message saying it was a mistake. If it does ship, it's a waiting game until it gets here to see if it's legit
Or you could just do what I did, commit to buy one and don't pay. Wait for other people to confirm receipt and then pay. He probably won't open an unpaid item case anyway, and if he does, you can just talk to him before actually paying him or stall for more time.
Just bought one. Why not? Paid and all.
If it doesn't pan out, PayPal aggressively sides with the buyer. We will get our money back, guaranteed, if something is fishy.
Fun!

Yeah, it's a sloppy spec cut and paste from the Verizon version. The listing clearly says GSM though. If, by some miracle, it arrives and is Verizon, I'll open a dispute with PayPal or just verify a clean ESN and sell locally for a little dough. Win-win.

I can happily say I'll be back in the HTC One family as soon as mine ships! I managed to nab a $300 Developer edition HTC One, really excited about getting it
I'm currently back on a Nexus 5 to try Lollipop, but I'm selling it as soon as the One hits my doorstep.
Did anyone else take advantage of this sale? It wasn't as alluring as grabbing the new Nexus 9 at $199 (which, for the record, d move to do on 24 hours after releasing it), but it was still a great deal for anyone looking for a flagship phone at (probably) less than half price.
I already got a T-Mobile M8. And I was able to nab a glacier silver unlocked edition. For 299 lol. No nexus 6 for me
I got one for the sole purpose of making a profit by selling it, considering that I already have an m8 that I bought at $800 when it first came out!
Got one - I assume, the page crashed when I submitted my order, but got the order email and they charged my card, I to have the nexus 5, not sure which one I'll keep, pass the other down to my son.
Depends on which has better audio ?

Yeah I'm actually on the exact same boat right now with the nexus 5. Overall the HTC is a better phone (hardware wise - especially audio-wise, for both recording and output). There's obviously more profit to be had by just selling the One in-box though.
I've had the One before, it's an awesome phone. It just got a little too banged up without a case/skin so I traded it in. Letters came off and all that - I just never said anything in the forum. Definitely not making that mistake again though; I'm putting a thin case or skin on it.
I think I've come to the realization that even better than having the "best" or newest phone (I.e. nexus 6 or 6 plus or Note 4), is having gotten one of the best deals. So, good-enough value trumps newness. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

Open the box carefully, if its ticking then stay away..... If you see Made in Russia then its not a good sign
But seriously, maybe verify serial with Google or Motorola...
So it arrived, everything seems normal so far. It's a Sprint nexus 6 while the listing made it appear as an unlocked nexus 6 from Google play rather than a carrier version. I'm going to try activate it and verify internals a bit later. I've been reading I should be able to use it on T-Mobile no problem, but it includes sprints ****ty hands free activation in the system partition. Some places say its necessary for use even if not using it on Sprint. Hopefully I can do more research and uninstall it or even better wipe everything and install a good custom rom.
Got mine yesterday. Factory sealed. Had a Sprint Sim in it. Couldn't activate on Verizon via the web last night, but took it into a store this morning and they gave me a new sim. Activated without a hitch. Shows Nexus 6 Non-VZN Phone on my account.
Working fine.

Hardware wise, all US Nexus 6's are the same. You can wipe it and install whatever you want.
I purchased one of these and it arrived today. Came with a Sprint SIM and a locked bootloader. The phone is a legit Nexus 6. I updated to 5.1.1, unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone easily.
I also got mine, was the sprint version as everyone else. Unlocked and flashed tmobile image and worked fine.
That's nice. Maybe guy switched to legit business after serving some time
so I dropped my 1st replacement device from Motocare while away and hoped getting the 2/3 devices available through their program would be just as easy. Apparently not. my IMEI number did not match their system. Called my carrier who provided me one; also not showing. so after 5 days of shouting at various people to gimme my dang phone, they finally got it straight and were to advance my new one.
today i get an email theyre out of blue 32GBs. But theyre sending me a 64GB white one, which is what i originally targeted but couldnt get.
the lesson here is complain loud and someone may hear. or I just got lucky. either way Im stoked
After my 1st replacement I asked them to make sure they updated my IMEI. They said they would but I have my doubts. =(. Hope I never have to find out.
I just got all but 4 months of my moto care refunded to me because they apparently cancelled it without knowing why or telling me. Moto makes good devices, that's about where it stops with them.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
I find it ridiculous that MotoCare is only available to a Nexus 6 purchased directly from their site. Why are those purchased from a carrier not eligible? Why is the policy not consistent across all devices offered?
It took Moto about 4-5 months for them to update my Motocare IMEI. THey will do it, they are just SUPER slow at it.

Motorola accidentally canceled my Moto Care and woudlnt let me buy it again. I fought them over it for 3.5 months and ended up being told "there's no way we can add it back" which really bothered me. I don't think I'll ever buy a Motorola phone with it again because their CS went south very fast and I have a direct number to their 'executive support office'

I just processed an advanced repair for my 64gb blue. It made me select my carrier and the rep insisted I wouldn't get a Verizon branded one because it was based on my unlocked one I purchased. I really hope that's the case lol.
And I don't think I'd be upset if they gave me a 64gb white instead of my blue one
So I started seeing a little bit of burn-in on my device over the weekend so on Saturday I decided to call Verizon and take advantage of Google's warranty. Once I told tech support I saw burn-in he immediately confirmed my address and let me know a brand new 2 XL replacement would be there by Tuesday at the latest. (would've been overnight delivery if it weren't Saturday) Well I got my device today and low and behold, THEY SENT ME A STOCK GOOGLE VERSION! Not the Verizon version, so, MY BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED!
This is why I'm saying "potential" great news, I cannot guarantee this will be the case for everyone but I'm kinda feeling like since this is a device defect on Google's end Verizon gets their surplus replacements from Google themself, meaning there is a high chance all replacement devices, at least for the time being, will be basically the same unlocked version you buy directly from the Google Store.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Nice, I was super happy when I saw this since I didn't realize Verizon were going to be idiots and lock down the bootloader. I didn't get the original Pixel XL because I only upgrade every two years and every other Nexus device I've owned through Verizon still had an unlock option for the bootloader in the developer options so I assumed this one would be no different.
I just sent mine in for same reason, they tried to send me to Verizon but I wouldn't let them. Phones on it's way to Google, hopefully I get Google version back instead of Verizon one

Why did you send your phone in first? You make them send you a device so you can transfer your data and then send it back. I still have my other XL 2. When I called Verizon I told them I want my new device first and they said that would be fine.

Dude, there is no payment needed at all to replace your phone through Verizon. I called them, told them I had burn-in, they setup a new phone to be overnight delivered and I got it today. That was it. I don't know who you talked to but there is no taxes required on getting a replacement due to a factory defect.

Verizon told me to call Google so I called about my issues.. The thing that sucks is I gotta send my pixel 2 xl first and once they receive it Google will send me a brand new 1...sucks but I'm gonna do it...just sucks I'll have to use an old Motorola Z Droid Play lol and I'm going to NYC for vacation next week and won't have my pretty Pixel 2 XL once I send it in

Um, no reason you have to send your device in. Whoever you talked to at Verizon is a moron. I called Verizon tech support and he told me there would be a package along with my replacement to send my defective device back in once I received the replacement. That way I am able to transfer my data. I'd suggest calling Verizon back.

Did your phone come from a Verizon store or from Google?

I purchased my device through Verizon, I've specified this multiple times by saying I called Verizon for my replacement.

Wherever Verizon gets their devices from. Like I said, I'm thinking they might be getting their 2 XL's straight from Google because of the issues so that Google is able to oversee damage control. I don't know for sure though. All I know is I purchased my original device through Verizon and talked to a Verizon tech rep to get my replacement. The replacement I received was unlocked.
