Hello everyone,
I want to downgrade my S7E to the APC or APD firmwares cause of the bugs in Nougat. I forget how to make it to get further OTA updates should I use home_csc or csc?
Thanx for replies.

Download firmware from sammobile and flash it with Odin.
If you dont wanna lose your data use csc home file but i recommend csc file with full wipe ?

Thanx for reply. Any difference between home_csc or csc except for keeping data? like getting upcoming uptades by OTA?

Only keeping data.
I'm sorry if this question is stupid, but I just want to be sure. I'm trying to downgrade a version of Nougat, I bought a phone 2 weeks ago and it came preloaded with nougat with february security patch, and battery life was phenomenal! Now I've updated to April version and it drains pretty fast... I found a version with february patch on sammobile for my country, but it says Serbia(VIP), VIP is a carrier in Serbia, my phone is simfree, does that mean I'll have carrier branded software or I can flash that one?
Thank you in advance!

Yes, VOD CSC.
But it looks like it was also released for XEF (at least via OTA).

Will it give me the bloat of vodaphone?
And will it lock my bootlaoder?
And how do i update if i have root and twrp?

What's the problem in installing the VDO version? Just the bloatware?

I've got my phone thru EE and checked for update to 7.0 but nothing as of yet.
Has anyone in the UK received update to 7.0 and which network?
I'm thinking updating via Odin but I've read some people knox tripped using odin which is very unusal. Anyone else had the same issue?
Thanks
update
I've updated my to nougat via odin and no know tripped. Void counter remains 0.
Hi,
I'm also in the U.K using an Un-Branded Sim Free s7 edge.
I use many of the Uk Payg Networks.
You would need to wait until Samsung have sent the Firmware to EE for them to test and send back with any requested refinements and then would be pushed out to your phone. This can delay things a bit.
The Firmware should be pushed out to me directly from Samsung. (Still waiting)
Samsung U.K advised me its being sent out in waves.
Have you received update?
How are you finding it?
Thanks

ODIN doesn't trip Knox. Where did you read this exactly?
No networks have released network firmware. The only UK users to get Nougat officially are those with handsets that use stock UK BTU firmware.
If you only want Wi-Fi calling then flashing Nougat through ODIN is fine.
If you want VoLTE as well, then you need to flash the Nougat BETA 1 CSC in ODIN as well

Thanks very useful info. So I flash the other files from final release and select csc from beta 1 or flash csc separately?
I had XEO csc, flashed nougat btu, downgraded back to 6.0.1 and csc changed to XEU, flashed back to 7.0 btu and knox remained 0X0

Always flash together. All files from main release, but Nougat BETA 1 CSC. This of course will wipe your phone. Do a smart switch or Samsung cloud back up. It won't save app data, but it'll save all your .apk files, messages etc

Did you have wifi calling and volte before? can't see why a full flash wouldn't work since it has worked for everyone else that tried
Hasn't worked for everyone else. I lost WiFi calling when I went from EVR to BTU. I used Odin and flashed all files except HOME_CSC.
I'm not sure if this will help but I had similar problem with WiFi calling not working on Vodafone after flashing BTU when it used to work with BTU MM. Someone suggested to disable WiFi calling through the Vodafone app and enable it again, this fixed the issue. Do EE have a similar app or process you can try?

So you're on Germany Firmware (DBT). The firmware version you are in is the latest available.
You can keep checking using the link below...

Edit: Looking at that sammobile page, looks like there isn't a firmware for the UK "XEU" CSC (only the UK BTU version is there)

No difference. As long as it is for the same model number you have no issue flashing any firmware for other countries.

No problem! Just make sure it is for your model and that before flashing you have both OEM unlock and usb debugging open in dev settings, if you are in stock.
Or you could use SmartSwitch to automaticaly download and reinstall your phone's software!

I'm currently using Norway's firmware though I'm from Bangladesh
I have an Sprint Samsung S8. I want to update to Android Pie 9. Its currently on Android 8.0.0 - R16NW.G950USQU5CSA4. And I want to flash with Odin to any compatible Android Pie FW. I am personally not looking to unlock or anything. The confusing part is that when I research the FW version (G950USQU5CSA4) it comes as a Verizon FW. So I am not sure if is safe to flash any of the Pie FW available on sammobile for Sprint.
It is safe to flash for example to one like G950USQU5DSD3 that appears in Sammobile and is for Sprint?

Flashed AP, BL, CP, CSC (not CSC_HOME) on its respective place on Odin. 5m 32s later it was updated with no trouble.
