I bought EQUALIZER from SmartAndroidApps, and POWERAMP from MaxMP. Both do well with media audio, but neither can manipulate the telephone audio stream.
I'm hard of hearing, and would like to control telephone audio from the speaker. My current solution is external, using earbuds with a lump in the cable that houses a passive RC circuit to approximate the curve I need.
Is there an EQ app or method to do that internally, so I can use the speakerphone?
There once was a flashable zip called turn it to eleven that allowed you to exceed normal volume levels... maybe look around for that or something like it... if you are not rooted I don't think there are any options...

Works good for me on my x running CM7 too, however even at the loudest setting my ringtones still aren't more than 1 or 2 decibels louder than stock... wonder if there is a way to really increase volume?....

Poweramp app has a great one in its player idk if you can use it without using the player. It even has a pre amp.

Tried amplifying the sounds with something like wave pad or MP3 gain, then putting them back?
I always amplify mine with wave pad, then put them in the media folder of my sd card, that way I don't have to use root explorer every time to put them back in system sounds whenever I flash another nightly.

Maybe I can do something like that... I'll look and see if I can find where the tunes are stored, maybe use root explorer to modify them, or something like that... I'll check around the forums a bit and see how to do that

using root explorer, they are in system/media/audio/ringtones. They are .ogg. You may have to convert them before amplifying them. I would rename them and put them on the sd card, in media/audio/ringtones. Wave pad may convert them, or free make. Both are free. Good luck, let me know how it goes, any questions just ask.

Very cool I see the alarm tones too maybe now I'll actually hear the alarm going off... gonna copy these to sd and try to convert, increase volume, reconvert and save back into root explorer... wonder if I'll have to do this after each nightly? One way to find out.... after I suceed I will keep a copy of files on sd card just in case and I'll flash a nightly and see if it overwrites the files... will report back

Flashing nightly should overwrite them, I know it did with my ringtones, that's why I started just putting them on the sd. Overwrites boot animation too, I gave up on changing that every time.

What I really need is to apply EQ to telephone (incoming voice) audio.
I can do it externally via the 3.5mm audio jack, using an active equalizer. Bulky. It would be great to do it inside the phone.
Phone Audio Equalizer
i would highly recomend the dsp manager because it equalizes your application and music audio output, your speaker output , and you can control bluetooth settings as well. I personally think its better than any of the paid apps that you can get. i also dont get why someone hasnt posted a link for thDSPManager.apk but i will post one for you and everyone else.

Hi all,
I'm new at android phone
I want to disable the camera shot sound, I couldn't find way to do this.
Galaxy S4 I9500
Thanks to all helpers,
Roy.
You must root your S4 and rename the file /system/media/audio/ui/Shutter.ogg
and for the auto-focus, the file /system/media/audio/ui/Auto-focus.ogg
Ok, thanks.
There is a root available for GS4 I9500?

i have also renamed camera_click.ogg, camera_focus.ogg and VideoRecord.ogg, thought they sound also like they would trigger while using the camera app.

Then Change it to <CscFeature_camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
save and exit text editor
then open Sqlite Editor
go to Settings Storage>settings.db>system> and search "shutter"
change csc_pref_camera_forced_shuttersound_key value to 0
save and reboot your phone
It's simply annoying. Would like so much to disable the camera sound without having to set to vibrate ou mute before taking pictures.

Not with out rooting that I have found.
I didn't know turning the volume down would kill it. Cant figure out which fo the 4 it is. Seems like they all have to be completely off to be silent.
BUT you should be able to use something like Llama to set when camera is active turn to silent and when camera is off put back to normal volume.
I tried this real quick and it gets in a loop. Haven't trouble shoot it yet. But it does work in manual test mode. Problem has to do with what the app is called when viewing to take a pic vs actual taking a pic vs showing the pic after.

Actually, both vibration and mote modes are sufficient to silent that annoying camera shooting sound.
That's the workaround I'm using...

There is currently an issue on all lollipop ROMs pertaining to headsets that do not have microphones. When such a headphone is plugged in it either triggers a continuous loop of Google search prompts or a multitude of random screen touches. If you use headphones or any 3.5mm compliant headphone jack device, you may want to flash this till it is fixed from source.

Sorry but how is the easiest way to flash this zip.
If I try with the defaut recovery from Cyanogen it gives me the E:No signature E:Verification failed errors.
And this recovery does not have the option to disable this check.
If I install another recovery may I loose the auto update feature from Cyanogen?
Thanks!

You can use ES file explorer or winrar on your desktop to extract the file inside of the zip. After which you can use es file explorer to manually copy paste the file to your system partition and then assign appropriate permissions.

I had the issue where plugging the headphones in launched the google voice search, but with this fix the icons on the homescreen get a white square behind them (guessing it's touchscreen issues). Any work around for this?
This is great, thanks!
However, anyone else now having issues with the YouTube app's play/pause buttons and seekbar not disappearing in fullscreen, or is it just me?

This should not happen, as this fixes both the Google voice issue as well as the white box issue. Are you using a headset with a mic or a standard headphone?

This is re-creatable usually through pausing a video and changing the quality (to 720p or above?) and doesn't seem to happen when not using headphones. Apologies for the lack of specifics, it's a bit finicky. Have since flashed two newer nightlies and still present.
EDIT - this can be temporarily fixable by turning the screen off and on again a few times...

So, anyone tried this or know if it's even necessary in CM12.1?
I must admit I've flashed this fix on the last few nightlies without checking first if the bug is still present as I've seen nothing about it in the CM changelog.
For anyone who cares, this is still necessary with CM12.1...

No, it's not. I used CM12.1 (RR 5.4.5) and a pair of headphones without a microphone and never had this issue.

It doesn't affect ALL headphones, it never has. Still affects my non-microphone Shures that work on stock, after a full wipe and fresh install of CM12.1.
I'm still unsure if this is necessary, I have still not flashed a stock lollipop ftf and have the need to use this on newer cm based firmware's. I shall flash Lollipop and verify whether it is necessary.

You and iFedebankai are on fire
After one day of using I can say that this rom is faster than cm11.
The only problems I got are:
1)Headphones didn't work for me (see a temporary fix below);
2)Vibration is too much weak;
3)Sometimes messages from Telegram or Whatsapp don't display notification until I open the app.
I like so much the UI becase it's different than the other roms. Good work!
FIX FOR HEADPHONES:
If someone got problems with headphones just follow this little guide for a temporary fix:
1)Download from Google Play this app: SoundAbout
2)Open the app, then tap on Phone Call audio
3)Tap on Earpiece (the audio is now coming from front speaker)
4)Put on your home the widget for this app
5)When you want to listen songs from headphones, you have to tap on the widget (should see the writing "on")
If the widget didn't work, then open the app, tap on Media Audio and select Wired Headphones.
PS: This app is a trial version so this fix stop working when the trial expire
PPS: Fix tested on s7390
PPPS: Bug reports tab doesn't work for me
link not working, please update the link
wow, a new rom!
The download is generating too much traffic so now i can't try it, i will try later

i've tried, this rom have the exactly same issues of cm11, but with my "fix"(in-app video works but lag and sometimes colors are altered), i've had the same headphones bug, and also i noticed a battery drain(i don't know if this is caused by me or not, but in 6 hours it was discharged by 50% and i've used it about 10-20 minutes).
Also if you try to view a youtube video in browser, the browser crash(in cm11 video don't work but no crash)
