Hello,
AT&T Galaxy S4 US Model: (SGH-I337)
1) (UNLOCKED) I live in the states and got the phone S4 AT&T I337 but due to Circumstances i have to move to india. The problem is it is locked in india..
I tried to unlock using tools available online. I now able to use it sim from india. but many times for detection i have to reinsert the sim again and again it is getting in my nerves...So i tried next step
2) Rooted the phone with motochopper
3) Installed TWRP
now i see the Unlock and samsung logo on boot.
But my problem still not sloved..
What i want it ORIGINAL ROM SUPPORT just the SIM RE-INSERT PROBLEM REMOVED!!!!
(I want to flash original firmware which allow me international sim)
I also tried odin but it says "Write Protection Error" on the screen of phone and the program..
Please suggest a good Firmware and how to bypass the write protection error.. OR How to flash with TWRP the original Non restrictive Firware (just like international model not like AT&T BULL****)
Seems to me that you have a problem with the SIM card.
Try to change it from your provider.
Usually SIM unlock procedure is performed once and not reversible

Hello all,
So I got a Note 3 as a gift - only issue is I'm on ATT and its a VZ phone. I am somewhat familiar with flashing phones (running an S3 with JB on it atm) but I couldn't make sense of how to turn a Verizon Note 3 into an AT&T Note 3 even after digging through these forums.
I popped in my ATT sim and did a factory reset and I could call / text people just fine, but I want all the Verizon stuff gone. No splash screen on start or anything.... and preferably a custom rom. How can I do this?
I installed towelroot, and superuser access - I tried installing safestrap but when I hit "reboot recovery" it doesn't reboot into it, it just goes black (have to pull the battery and reboot it). When I boot into recovery it still boots my stock recovery. Can I just hit "apply update" in my stock recovery and install an ATT rom? Are there "neutral" (I heard them called international) roms?
Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!
I don't think you will get good data speeds using a Verizon phone on att network, it doesn't have the right radios.
I could be wrong though.
I'd say your best bet is to sell that one, and buy the att version.
Att can use t Mobil and vise versa that's it

Hello all,
I want to switch to Verizon but I don't have a verizon sim to test my phone, I just got it unlocked through the unlock app. I've also read this post,

but there is no confirmation if he found a solution.
any feed back would help.
Well i live in Mexico, but i own a galaxy s7 edge from tmobile and to try nougat i installed first the Verizon version, and it work well, the only issue was to setting the data configuration, now i use the At&t nougat and everything still even more perfect (the verizon nougat have a lot of little bugs)

Using a Tmobile S7 Edge going to Verizon won't work cause of a few reasons.
1. TMOBILE S7 and S7 edge are not built for CDMA networks that uses certain bands and network. Along with the security of CDMA networks.
2. There is no band 13 on tmobiles S7 and S7 Edge. Even you were to unlock it.
But going from CDMA to GSM most phones work due most of the hardware and software is already built in the phone.

I can confirm this. Yes, your unlocked T-mobile S7/Edge will work with Verizon network if you flash the U firmware. I'm currently using my unlocked T-mobile S7 Edge with the U-firmware on the Verizon network. Voice, text, data work fine. No issues for me.

You can flash the stock Tmobile ROM or the U firmware. The only reason I got a new S7 when I jumped from big red was I had a huge scratch on my screen. I was running the U firmware when I went into tmobile and used the girls sim card from her phone to prove I could do it...

Don't know but I am on T-Mobile and I use alot from Verizon thread no issues so far
OK, so I have a question. I'm also trying to move from t-mobile to Verizon but I'm trying to keep my same phone. My phone is already paid off and i currently running t-mobile's SM-G935U over SM-G935T. But a couple of days ago i asked a friend to let me barrow his verizon sim card to test it out. But received a message saying "Invalid sim Card" "network locked SIM card inserted." Did i messed up something during the installation of the SM-G935U?

You need to UNLOCK your phone. It might be a Tmobile phone and running G935U software...but the sim is still locked to T-Mobile. Here is Tmobile unlock page information. you can request unlock in the T-mobile app or by calling T-Mobile....then it should see the Verizon sim and load up just fine once the phone itself is not locked to T-Mobile only sims. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588
And for anyone else looking at this forum, There is no physical difference in hardware from a SM-G935T phone and a SM-G935U phone. Samsung actually made the hardware the same for all US Variants it is just the software that is different. And not that you would want too but you could load other carriers software on your phone if you wanted too(IE- running Verizon software on a SM-G935T, or ATT or SM-G935U (Stock Samsung Software) The only problem Running SM-G935U is they haven't upgraded the unlocked us phones to 7.0 yet. Where T-Mobile and other carriers already have nougat out.
The SM-G935U software however has all the US and even some Chinese LTE bandwidths enabled, and it also enabled the CDMA bandwidths to be used on the SM-G935 phones...hence why it will work with Verizon, Sprint, and even US Cellular if you can get them to put it on the account.*(I haven't dealt with US Cellular in years and with the new laws on moving phones from carrier to carrier in the US they might not have any issue with Bring your own phone to US Cellular anymore I do not know!)

Had you flash any ROM before via Odin?. If so, you will only need to download the verizon firmware (sammobile.com) and flash those files. if not > Open odin (Attached) load all the files accordingly (AP, BL, CP, CSC) in ODIN> put your phone download mode ( pressing fingerprint button + volume down + power) > connect phone to PC > Once all files are ready in ODIN hit start. You will get the success message and phone will boot.

Exit completely ODIN (make sure you run it as administrator), repeat the process and make sure all files are uploaded (AP takes a long time to upload) make sure to use the CSC file label as HOME_CSC. Try to flash again.

Does the phone have to be unlocked before adding these files or does it matter?

If you are going to use a verizon sim, you will need to have it unlocked. Firmware flash won't sim unlock/lock the phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I was gonna be waiting months. I got it tho. The home csc file wasn't working so I used the other one that reset the phone to stock. It was g935u firmware for tracfone from T-Mobile if that helps anyone in the future.

Great it worked.
I flashed the tracfone rom and everything is working well. I got a software update notification. Should ignore it or is it ok to update?
Bumping the thread...sorry guys. I just jumped ship from Verizon and went to Tmobile today with my S7 Edge along with my wifes S7 Edge. Can I flash her phone with the U firm from TMobile and is the U firmware from tmobile the same U firm that is provided to Verizon? Jist wondering. I've used Odin plenty and understand flash process.
Hi guys and gals.I bought a used sm-G930P that someone had put boost on it. I downloaded the newest sprint firmware using the Samfirm tool. I loaded all 4 files using the csc file not the home one. iflashed it with Odin 3.12.3. with a Pass. it still boots with an orange B and carrier in about system is boost mobile and has boost mobile apps. no Sim card for boost no Sim card while flashing and tried it with a sprint Sim while flashing and no differences. the firmware I'm flashing to it is G930PVPU6BRD2 why is still on boost with all pass.firmware burns. I want it back Sprint stock and I intend to root and install a nice rom like moar. and I hate that ugly orange B! oh and every time I flashed it I got a pass. the software version is what I flashed. I'm not new to flashing and modding but this new phone has be stumped. I have searched the internet and there is no mention of converting a boost s7 back to stock sprint or any mention of some magic that might help me. I know the csc file may have something to do with the carriers and boot logos. Should I maybe he e to check an option like erase nand or repartition in this case to make it a sprint phone. Is it somehow locked and not letting the csc file write and do it's job? If any guru knows how to fix it please help me out. Also i am wondering if i root it and install moar would that get rid of the boost stuff and make it work on The Sprint carrier??Thanks n advance.
