I checked the other wifi threads, and I think my problem is different.
I can use my Verizon xv6800 at work, with WPA2 wireless access. As soon as I go home and turn on the wireless switch, the wifi crashes and i have to reboot my whole phone. I even tried this at my mom's house, and had no problem connecting. It seems to only be at home.
Could there be an issue where there are too many access points broadcasting?
Is there a 3rd party wireless manager I should/could use?
Question: Does anyone know how to enable ad hoc connectivity. Ive tried two apps off the market on my rooted tab, but the only thing that happens is i loose wifi and it cant scan networks at all. Im trying to use my gs2 teather hot spot on my tab 7.7 wifi only model. Any suggestions anyone?
p.s. both my tablet and phone are rooted.
You don't need any apps for that. Turn on the hot spot feature on your SGS2, then use Wi-Fi setting on your tab to connect to it like any other Wi-Fi connection.
The thing is i dont pay for the hot spot feature on my phone. So i rooted my phone to get it for free but it gives out ad hoc wifi. My macbook can find the signal, but for some reason galaxy tablets dont.
Get the app wifi adhoc enabler.
I had to do this for my Galaxy Note. My Razr on the stock VZW hotspot would send out an infrastructure wifi signal but after rooting and rom'ing it, it now only sends out adhoc signals.
You can try also to edit the wpa_supplicant file but on my Note the wifi adhoc enabler app worked for me.
i tried that but it didnt work. After i restarted the wifi it couldnt detect anything and it would read error. Unless im doing something wrong. Thanks for answering
maybe reboot and try again. I'll play around with trying to find adhoc signals when mine comes in on Wednesday.
Wifi adhoc enabler app doesn't work
Anyone has found a solution?
Bump, I really need the adhoc function to work this with my car's AEM x-wifi Air/Fuel wideband... Anyone can chime in?
Thanks.
Sorry. Wrong thread.
but it can't connect to my wireless network. It happens for some of my other phones too in other places. Is this an Android problem or a Moto X Play problem? Thanks.
I think its more of some wifi chip don't work well with some wifi routers ..
hopefully they'll fix it with an update soon ..
I'm on Frank's Android M and there is this really annoying problem: Wifi turns on itself. Plus it isn't able to find networks on apps such as Router Keygen or Wifi Surfer. Is ther any solution???
Hello everybody!!
I have a problem with my S7 edge...
When i turn on the wifi my S7 edge connect to my wifi and after 1minutes my phone lose the wifi...And after 5-10seconde my phone find the wifi
When i go to the menu wifi i see on my wifi" Internet not available"
I try on my computer and other phone and the wifi work....
What is the problem??Software problem or hardware problem?
Please don't say me it's a hardware problem
My 4g works good!!
Thank you so much
It could be a problem with your WiFi access point. I know some Broadcom chipsets can crash when certain devices try to connect over 802.11g. If you have a wireless N 5 Ghz radio, you could try to connect to that SSID instead. I have a router that started having constant WiFi crashes when I got my new phone, but I just had to get on the 5 Ghz SSID and it stopped crashing.
Thansk for the answer !! it's work
