I have a Droid Turbo 2 (xt1585) that will not let me enable developer options period. It has the 7.0 software with the December security patch on it. I go to settings/about phone and scroll down to the build section and it doesnt matter how many times i hit it i get nothing. I really need to get this phone in debugging mode so I can connect to it in adb. ANyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

OK so I have a Droid 2 and really want to root it but USB debugging is not working at all on completely stock GB it is the latest update for the D2 and all my rooting tools will not work at all because USB debug is not showing an icon or working at all i have tried to factory reset the device and turn it on and still no icon for USB debug option is on any help would be great
You can SBF to a fresh install of Gingerbread. Likely that will fix things and give you the options you need.
So I just SBF'd to froyo on my droid 2 after using cm7 nightlies. I wan to install CM 7.2. But after I SBF'd and wiped my data I can't seem to get USB debugging to work. When I engage USB Debugging the checkmark appears. But When I hook up to my computer there is no debugging icon in the notification area. Also I have tried rooting using doroot. I can't seem to get my droid 2 rooted. Before I run the update to gingerbread my froyo allows usb debugging to engage but when I do the OTA update to GB I can no longer get USB Debugging to work. Any ideas? I am getting desperate here. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

hello
nice job thanxs...
I've looked everywhere for help with this, but haven't found anything related. I believe this is specific to 4.2.2 because of the new authorization feature for usb debugging.
I just bought my second Nexus 4 and decided it was time to try rooting the phone. Here are the steps I took:
installed the 4.2.2 over the air update
downloaded and installed the latest android sdk for mac
turned on "usb debugging"
my phone asked me to verify the connection with the computer (this is apparently a new feature in 4.2.2), so I agreed
performed a backup with adb
rebooted into the bootloader
executed `fastboot oem unlock`
rebooted the phone
However, now I'm stuck. The phone no longer asks me to verify a connection with the computer. The computer no longer sees the device. No matter how many times I toggle "usb debugging" or "developer tools" or connect/re-connect the phone.
What did I do wrong? Have I broken my phone as far as usb connectivity goes? As far as I can tell, this means I can't restore my backup, I can't finish the root process and I can't even do a factory reset.
Does anyone have any advice or has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks so much.

just got home with the G2. downloaded, and installed drivers. cant get the device to show the USB debugging notification.
Is your device rooted? Did you enable developer option? USB debugging has to be enabled in "Developer Options" under setting. You have to enable it first. To do so, you should go to Settings, About Phone, Software Information, and then repeatedly tap "Build Number" until it says "Developer Option Now Enabled".

OK so I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720T I have rooted and flashed to Page plus with no problems. I reflashed back to stock to NAF and did all the Updates to NG5. I have enabled Developer options and have usb debug enabled. I cannot for life of get the phone to show up as usb debugging enabled. So now I am having trouble with anything I do with DFS or Wireless Workshop that requires usb debugging to be used. I have tried different usb cords and different usb ports and have uninstalled and reinstalled samsung drivers and still cant get the phone itself to show usb debugging enabled in the pull down screen on the phone. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have searched and found one post with a similar problem but no resolutions to it. Mods and admins I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section/forum please move if need be. Thanks.
