You can SBF to a fresh install of Gingerbread. Likely that will fix things and give you the options you need.

[Q] Problem with ADB access ( SOLVED)

Hi all, I installed 4.1.83 and could not access adb anymore, I flashed the 4.1.26 retail SBF and still I don't have ADB access.
Things I have done:
1. I downloaded the SDK to a different folder and tried from there
2. I tried to install the motorola drivers/sdk on a different PC with the same results.
3. I flashed 4.1.57 SBF , same thing.
I am now on 4.1.83 with no sideloading so I cannot run gingerbreak and restore the nandroid backup i have.
Anyone lost access to ADB in their atrix or have any idea?
•Switch usb ports to one on the back of the pc.
•One thing that worked for me was copying a shortcut of cmd into the same folder that moto's adb drivers were installed into and just opening cmd from there it gave me adb right away
•other than that I'm out of juice no one else seems to have reported this I would double check the basics you know debugging mode usb set to none and if you had used gladroot before run after update on 1.83 I heard it brings root back. Could solve your whole issue and save you the mess of a possibly formatted sd card
But thats just my 2 cents

Thanks for the reply.
* I switched PCs so the port is not the issue.
* Tried it
* USB debugging is enabled and Gladroot can't help if "ADB devices" returns an empty list.
Thanks for all the ideas though.
If you're using front ports sometimes they don't push enough power to the device try a rear port
But thats just my 2 cents

try a different cable. I had a problem with one of my cables, whilst it worked on my HTC something it didnt work on my atrix
Tried that too with n success, thanks.
Solved:
I had to undo the usb debugging and enable it again, for some reason it does not stick after reboot.

Droid X won't enter USB Debugging Mode

I also posted this on the droid x forums but they don't seem to know whats going on .
I recently SBF'd my DX from .340 to .602 . The issue I've run into however, is that USB Debugging mode doesn't seem to want to initialize. I've toggled it on in the Development Settings menu, uninstalled and reinstalled every moto driver on the face of the earth, and tried all 4 different USB modes with 3 different cables. I've also SBF'd and data/factory reset and wiped the cache.
I'm starting to suspect driver issues, but I really don't know for sure what's wrong.
EDIT: Problem *sort of* solved, tried it on a different computer and worked flawlessly.

[Q] USB Debugging not working

So I just SBF'd to froyo on my droid 2 after using cm7 nightlies. I wan to install CM 7.2. But after I SBF'd and wiped my data I can't seem to get USB debugging to work. When I engage USB Debugging the checkmark appears. But When I hook up to my computer there is no debugging icon in the notification area. Also I have tried rooting using doroot. I can't seem to get my droid 2 rooted. Before I run the update to gingerbread my froyo allows usb debugging to engage but when I do the OTA update to GB I can no longer get USB Debugging to work. Any ideas? I am getting desperate here. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

[Q] Enable USB Debugging Via PC

I have done tons of research on this, and nothing clear is coming up.
My friend dropped her phone, shattered the screen, and the display is blank. It's a stock razr m, running the most current OTA update. She had all of her pics saved to the internal phone memory. The phone turns on, and I can hear the sounds and see the LED light blinking (stupid thing is trolling me).
USB Debugging is not enabled.
Installed motorola device manager.
The phone connected and installed a bunch of drivers.
Now it just shows up as a camera, with no file system to explore. It's blank.
We tried inserting an SD card, and the exact same thing ^^^ happened.
I have read that USB Debugging needs to be enabled to explore the phone's internal storage. I know that I have to do this with my Note 2 to see anything from the PC. Is there anything I can do in ADB/otherwise, like enabling Debugging to make this thing's files show up on my PC? Thank you for your help.
you don't need to have debugging on but you do need the USB type to be "MTP" not camera

Debugging using PC?
I actually had a similar question.
I currently have the Droid RAZR M and it kept going through a bootloop. I have never rooted my phone, so I'm not sure why this happened. Anyways I tried a recovery and and hard reset and I'm still getting the same thing. Then I tried using RSD Lite to do a fastboot, but I'm not sure if I did that correctly. The Filename was VRZ_XT912_6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31_1FF.xml. This failed at step 12. I was wondering if this was because USB Debugging is not enabled? Is there a way to enable it from my computer? As of now I'm stuck with this...
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure)
0A.74
eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED, Status Code: 0
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
If someone could help me out that would be great, or point me in the direction to the right forum.
Cheers

[Q] USB Debugging enabled but not working

So I'm trying to root my Samsung Galaxy S4 using the Motochopper method. I had previously rooted the same phone using the same method.
Well I came across a problem, at first USB debugging was working, after getting a popup (didn't have time to read because I accidentally closed it) it stopped working. The popup was not Allow USB Debugging?, that I had read and pressed okay, the popup occurred later while USB Debugging was enabled (Android jellybean was on the statusbar), now it says USB debugging is enabled but the Android jellybean doesn't show up and doing ADB remount or ADB devices doesn't work, it tells me device not found.
Here's what I tried:
Factory data reset
Changing USB cords (4 different cords)
Changing USB port (3 different ports)
Uninstalling drivers and reinstalling them (Kies is good to go and working perfectly)
I'm really stumped, if anyone can help me out that'd be great!
