I have an o2 xda and wish to unlock it the proble is i'am unsure if it in the boot loader mode. how do i know?
I'am using win xp could this be the problem. when i plug the lead in i get a message from hosysnc on the xda that it trying to connect is this right?
thanks
If you get a message from Actove Sync (?) on the XDA, it's most definitely not in bootloader mode.
Gently press stylus the warm-reset (large hole, bottom left) while turning it on.
thanks for the reply it got it unlocked now. once i knew how to get into the boot loader setup
Trying to get my nexus 4 working again - Its currently stuck on the google logo - I have downloaded alot of software mentioned on the site to try to flash new firmware onto it however i keep encountering the problem that the bootloader is not unlocked - Any time i try to flash new firmware i get the message
"FAILED (remote: not supported in locked device)"
In order to unlock the bootloader correctly i need to be fit to boot the phone back into the android software however it keeps hanging on the google screen - Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
Cathal

To unlock your bootloader, you don't have to boot into Android. Just hold the power button and both volume buttons for 10 seconds, then quickly release them and press power+Volume down. That should boot you in fastboot, where you can use the "fastboot oem unlock" command, and then flash the factory images.

Does it show your device as locked or unlocked?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Hey all,
New to the forum, have been a lurker for a while. I have been scouring the internet and these forums in hopes that i would find a solution to my problem. I believe I successfully unlocked my boot loader but when i try and enter recovery mode it takes me to the fastboot and rescue mode screen with the little droid guy. At the bottom in red its says "Phone unlocked, FRP Unlock" but somehow any attempt to root my device fails. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Side note Kingroot, kingoroot, and all other one click root programs don't work for this phone. I am so close to unlocking this phones full potential i can almost taste it.
On what build you're on?
Regards

I am one Build number ALE-L04c567B309
Flash again recovery via fastboot.
Are you sure you are pressing power + volume up for recovery?
Power + volume down is for fastboot.
Note: I know, this is the XT forum, but there is no XT2 forum.
So, pretty much every single time I boot up the Huawei Ascend XT2, I get this error:
Your device has failed verification and may not work properly.
To learn more, visit:
(forum won't let me post)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(1) Press Power key to continue.
(2) Press Volume Up key up to 3 seconds to enter erecovery to restore your device.
(3) Your device will stop start, if there is no operation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, I boot into fastboot & rescue mode, to see that my bootloader is unlocked, but my FRP is locked. I never unlocked the phone's bootloader, and whilst using this device a few months ago, the phone never gave this error.
If I press the power button, the phone works normally without any issues, but this message annoys me a lot.
Anybody know how to fix this?

lock the bootloader > but be warned it will wipe your phone and you will never be able to unlock it again because they quit unlocking bootloaders
the phone is actually worth more with the bootloader unlocked and the phone rooted
hi all ,flashed rom without twrp and phone stuck in boot loop with logo ,power button plus volume up ,powers off then power button with volume down should get recovery ,not with this noobs phone, lol. I get qualcom crash mode with the reading attempted to kill ! exitcode=0x0000000 _______ do_exit ,any help would be gratefull ????
Can you access fastboot/bootloader mode? Try holding power button + volume up when the phone is already off. If you are able to get to fastboot mode then you can flash TWRP using ADB from there.
Use msm download tool
