Problem sending/receiving SMS after flashing 727 into my 720 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Good evening everybody, annoyed to not be able to use AndroidPay on my phone I decided to try something "risky"; so I got back from custom rom to stock rom, restore the recovery and look the bootloader again following the beautiful tutorials I found in this forum. Just to name a few:
To restore and lock your bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/guide-return-to-stock-lock-bootloader-t3539513
I had to re-flash the recovery because I forgot to set the correct build prop settings: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/how-to/leeco-le-pro-3-root-t3476560
So, after going back and forward few times, I was able to get phone signal and everything look fine, I was even able to install Android Pay and make it "work"!!! until I reach the SMS verification of my card... then I discovered my Phone is not receiving nor sending sms.
Please can one of the big gurus in this forum enlight me? what did I miss? I'm able to call and receive calls, but not SMS.
I'm sure it may be something relatively stupid.
Thanks in advance!

Strange, all suddenly I started to receive the messages, 3 hours later... probably my carrier had a service outage.
We can close this thread!! Thank you everybody for the amazing job you are doing here!

No phone or SMS

Hi,
Been using custom ROMS on my Hero since new with no probs. Last Thursday after receiving an SMS I am unable to make or receive phone call and txts. My mobile internet still works fine. When a phone call is made to my phone the caller receives a message that the number is no longer available, though if I switch the phone off the caller gets put through to my voicebox. My provider has confirmed that there are no blocks etc on my phone or account, this is also proved as when I put my SIM in another phone all works as usual.
I am using Villain ROM 12 and the latest radio. I have set the phone to GSM only, automatic etc. I have reinstalled the ROM wiping everything etc and have tried flashing different radios.
The only thing I can think to try now is to flash a stock ROM. Which would be best (its a UK orange phone) and will I then lose root etc.
Most probably though I fear the cellular chip is dead.
Any other ideas and which stock ROM should I try, oh yes I bought the phone of ebay new and unopened, will I be able to return it somewhere for repai HTC ???
Thanks for reading and for any help
Hmmm,... Strange one is this.
First thing I would try if I were you is to flash a generic ROM through your custom recovery,....
One from http://android.modaco.com/content/h...oms-radios-in-update-zip-format-for-gsm-hero/
Worth a shot,....
If you get the same result,.... Run an RUU .exe. This will unroot so if it is successful you will have to go through the whole rigmarole of installing a custom recovery again to be able to flash custom ROMs.
Dont know what else to suggest sorry.
Oh well, tried stock roms and still the same problem. Looks like it must be the pgones hardware.
Any one recommend a good repairer here in the UK
Cheers

[Q] phone wont send or recive anything

Last night I followed a guide to install galnet miui which involved flashing some "EZ" bootlader. after i was done flashing though my phone wouldn't send or recieve calls, texts or connect to the internet. I flashed back to stock and i still had that problem. Any ideas on what to do? I have checked all the apn settings ect and everythings ok there.
Turns out my IMEI has been changed to a test number that's probably blocked by virgin. Been reading some threads about restoring my IMEI without a backup of my EFS folder. Methods were for the galaxy s2, anyone know if those methods will work?

ICS: Cannot receive SMS. Help!!!

My friend has a Moto Defy (red lens) running Quarx ICS 5-Mar build. He is unable to recieve messages but can send. Tried multiple SIMs but same problem. Please help; in case you need the SMSC number it is +919032055002
Did he try changing his radio/baseband/modem? Can he receive on GB?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
check APN ,make sure its correct and the baseband
It was working fine on Froyo and even ICS few days back (skipped GB). I will check the baseband setting but can only do it tomorrow now. Curious how would APN settings matter in regards to SMS.
Are you sure that number of SMS center is saved in the phone ?
i am having a similar problem [green lens defy]..i usually can send and receive text msgs..but if the phone is inactive for say 5-6 hrs, i stop receiving msgs..if i send some1 a msg after that then again i start receiving msgs..had this problem on GB as well [currently running ICS]..any idea why this is happening..??like the person who started this thread, even i am from india..
ps:i am on the correct baseband..
Issue resolved
My friend himself resolved the issue by downloading another messenger app! I don't know but it did get fixed Anyways, I have set his baseband to correct settings.
Same issue fixed
I had the same issue on ShoStock rom on my SGH-I777, Put my sim in another phone and was able to receive messages just fine, BUt when I had my Sim out, I did a simple reboot on my phone and then put the Sim back in and rebooted the phone again and everything works just fine. I am pretty sure it had something to do with the efs folder and the IMEI number because when the sms wouldn't work, I could not open the efs folder but after the reboot and the sms working I can open the folder and view the contents,

Solved: Lost ability to receive calls/texts after backup restore went wrong

I was on CyanogenMod 12.1 and everything was fine.
For work related reasons I had to temporarily switch back to touchwiz so I made a full nandroid backup with latest TWRP.
I factory reset the phone to get rid of everything but realised I forgot to do something so I flashed the backup back to the phone but it kept hanging at 99% for 15 minutes where it said "restoring modem".
I figured it was just some kind of glitch or bug so thought what the hell and pulled the battery and after starting the phone back up everything seemed fine untill I later found out I couldn't receive calls and text messages anymore.
I proceeded to flash official modem and bootloader through odin which was succesfull but I was still unable to receive calls and texts.
Thinking that just flashing the official firmware from samsung back to the phone would restore the ability to receive texts and phonecalls I proceeded. Did another factory reset because of bootloop.
Now I am on official firmware and everything works, but I'm still not able to receive calls and texts! I'm getting pretty desperate now so I hope someone knows a sollution!
EDIT: I just did a crosscheck and there is nothing wrong with the sim. Something in the phone is not right!
EDIT 2: Ok... so after the crosscheck and placing the sim back in the S5 suddenly everything works again... I'll just leave this here for the next one...
Can you check whether you still have your IMEI? It should be on Settings->About device->Status

Hey thanks for your reply! For some strange reason, after using my Sim in another phone and then switching back to the s5 everything worked fine again.
