yes, with magisk
Root using TWRP and flashing SuperSU, 100% after this the titanium backup will work. And just to let you know, titanium only lets you freeze an app if you have payed for pro version, which is waste of money since there are ton of apps on google play that will let you freeze an app completly free.

try using framaroot. its a good app and comes in form of apk, so you will root your phone from within the phone. although it wont be able to unlock bootloader but that can be done separately, not any sort of big task, and also in case you dont know, unlocking bootloader is important to flash roms etc. however other apps like titanium backup can be used if you have not unlocked your bootloader.
here is a link to apk download : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
and for bootloader unlocking : http://www.lg-phones.org/cm10-nightly-jb-rom-for-lg-optimus-l7.html
its a good tutorial on how to unlock bootloader and install cwm. hope helped you

So I'm in a bit of a pickle. You see my phone is rooted and I was typing and all of a sudden a popup said to update blah blah blah, accidently I clicked yes and it did it's system update. Now it says Andriod is Upgrading. What I want to know is, will I still have root, and will be bricked after it's updating??

You will only loose root after an OTA upgrade, just reflash the older rom like NE2 with Odin, data factory reset and reroot with Towelroot. After that you can flash the OTA if it comes and keep root if you have superSU Pro installed and have Root survival enabled. Don`t change superSU to a system app or the OTA will not install.

Just a quick question. Will doing this wipe out all of my things on my phone. I heard in the video that you need to make a backup, but it seems you can only do that rooted.

Helium (Premium) (in Google Play) can backup and restore the apps and data of all installed apps and you don`t need root for that. I use it mself and its very good imo.

Hi, I'm using a Malaysian version of note 4 SM-N910C.
It comes pre-installed with Whatsapp. I wish to remove it as I want to use whatsapp-plus instead. whatsapp-plus wouldn't installed when the original whatsapp still in the system. Is there anyway remove it without voiding the warranty?
Thank you..

How to hide? Do u mean 'disable' it? I've tried disable the app from application manager, but my whatsapp-plus still won't install as it detects whatsapp still in the system..

It only hide the app from the app-drawer. It doesnt remove the app from the system.
When i tried install whatsapp-plus, it is not possible as the original whatsapp is still in the ROM.
Is there anyway to remove it without rooting or rooting but keep warranty intact..

once again if you want to uninstall any system apps you must root your device. after root knox will become 0x1 mean that warranty void.

Stock whatsapp comes with 1yr subscription or .... ?
If one would set Whatsapp Plus version number higher than the Whatsapp version number , you should still be able to install Whatsapp Plus version over the regular version as an update about it .

Find the ROM from another region (which doesn't bundle whatsapp) for the same Note 4 model. It won't change neither KNOX nor custom status and doesn't require any custom recovery and even root.

This may be a dumb question. .but if u root a phone does that mean u wont be receiving firmware updates anymore ? And whats the story with root and Knox. . And if u decide to root how would u do that. .whats the benefit of root.. ?? And lastly can u undo the root if u decide to in the future ?
Sorry for all the dumb questions

I never used OTA updates and never had problem with it. You always can install update through Odin.
Android without root is not an android, imho.
U can still get firmware update. Not through OTA but through KIES. U will lose the root access after that but other contents still remained

Looks like Samsung released a new OTA that fix some bugs on screen response.
I found a Chainfire app called FlashFire, looks like the solution: Flash a OTA without loose root and data.. looks great but I didn´t find any info about S7 Edge compatibility
¿Any information about that?
Thanks!
