HI
Does anyone know if this update locks Bootloader?
I am on Unlocked Bootloader and have TWRP as well. Rooted with Magisk. Android 7.0 (v20a) Debloated Stock.
So I do not want to start that process again if this update locks Bootloader.
Any ideas?
No update locks the bootloader, but I think you have to flash the stock recovery to update via fota.
Or you can download the flashable zip from @autoprime.

Hello, where can I find the flashable .zip april 2017 update so I don't have to install the stock rom?
Lol... Until now in the Philippines we don't have 20d update yet...

Updated mine to 20f 3days ago via ota on H860 model.
Today I was finally able to download that update when I came back home.
Now it's asking me if I want to install it right now. After the confirmation my smartphone reboots to install the update - but instead of installing the update directly it will boot into TWRP so I guess I need to download it seperately as an image or Zip...am I right? and where can I find it?

Here, I have found this. I have only flashed the stock recovery and updated. http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G5/H850/H85020D
I have a H850 unlocked but stock rom not changes. LG Update failed and stated my phone was suspected of rooting so the update was no applied. It appears LG will not patch unlocked phones anymore? Well this will be the last LG device I buy.

Fresh download and apply, exactly the same message. Errors on update then reboots to tell me I have root. I wish, at least I could TWRP and zip flash the update.

The update is good, in principle, nothing lags with me. I will continue to observe.
Is it possible that this update fixes screen burn? The only thing I've noticed after update is that screen burning is unnoticeable, only a bit in extreme conditions (overheating and staying on the same screen for a long while). Any thoughts?

Come on folks, this stuff takes time out of people's day, and work to get things copied and uploaded; the least you can do is click a button. I know that manners are a lost legacy, but people aren't obliged to do things - they do it from the kindness of their hearts, so at least show some thankfulness - some courtesy won't take any time, and certainly won't kill you; in fact, you'll actually FEEL BETTER FOR IT

What do you mean this update is for 176.x.x...?
I was getting errors with the 4.4.4 OTA through philz recovery.
So I downgraded to 4.3 and updated OTA to 4.4.2 - 176.44.1.en.GB(187mb) and then an update of (8mb).
Now i am on 4.4.2 and got 4.4.4 OTA 210.12.10.en.GB.

This mean, that this OTA archive is for version 176.44.1. This mean that you cant jump (for example) from 14.71.8 (Android 4.3) to 210.12.10 (Android 4.4.4) because you need OTA with name\version 14.71.8. When you apply it - you will have 174.44.9 (4.4.2, first update). With next OTA with name\version 174.44.9 you will have the last update for 4.4.2 (176.44.1), and so on.

Agree with you,but saw on another thread that some lucky members got successful OTA installation with root and custom recovery. I gave mine a try and it failed.
Now i am on 4.4.4 fully stock and will flash philz recovery and root it. :fingers-crossed:
Is there a file I can download to flash via fastboot with locked bootloader?
To change from tesco to gb retail.
Edit, or tell me how to downgrade 4.4.4 then I can flash 4.4.2 retail and get the ota
Looks like they kept their promise with the monthly updates.. At least they did for this month. AT&T is getting V10I pushed out today. At only 46.7MB, I doubt this will fix any of the major problems, other than stagefright.

This would be huge if it fixes the issues. Can't wait to hear from someone who takes the update
So two things need to be done about this:
A) Does the update break root/can the update be done with root.
B) Someone with the touch issues should take the update and see if it fixes said issues.
I'm almost positive that at a mere 46MB that this may not include said fixes, but it's worth checking out to see.

It is just security. Another user confirmed that the horrible touch and lag survived the update
According to changelog only security update as promised by LG. I wouldn't search for any other changes if not listed. Or maybe LG never mentions all changes?

Do you even know how many versions of the G4 there are? H815, H811, H812 and a lot more.. It's not that easy to just code real quick to the newest versions.. Plus I have no memory or touch issues, maybe that's why I'm patient to wait for Marshmellow..

I'm not holding my breath for marshmallow, ATT won't roll that out until April, that's why they need to roll out 5.1.1 now! Really for crying out loud 5.1.1 was 2 months old when they released this thing. I'm going back to a nexus next time, screw this crap

Anyone have a guide on how to create a rooted system image for this update?
I actually do love this phone overall, sorry just annoyed. Really thought 5.1.1r6 would be how they delivered the stage fright fix. As a former nexus 5 user and current nexus 7 user, every version of lollipop before 5.1.1 is garbage from my experience. Keep you device on for more than 24 hours and the system starts going haywire and randomly killing processes. And no I never had any touchscreen issues. I checked out the optimus G, g2, and g3s update history before I bought this and unless at&t decides to give their update department speed, don't except a major OS update until the nearest April after it releases

Someone who isn't rooted would have to take the OTA then extract their system.img and post it here so we can inject root into it.

I'm not rooted and never attempted any alterations on this phone and it wouldn't let me download the update. Said something about an invalid package for this phone.
Now the option to update is gone.
Go now for those who decided to rollback to kitkat 4.4 , try the new general firmware for Colombia , all bugs in b324 were fixed in this b327 , download /update/enjoy .. for mate 7 tl09 only. I am prevented now from butting any links but search it now on consumer colombia region and download it b327 ,,, goodbye b324.
If they've only just released a Lollipop update, it doesn't seem likely we'll get a Marshmallow ROM.
Installed and thank you for sharing. Battery life seems to be very good. No Huawei keyboard. Carrier aggregation disappeared, don't know yet if any affect to network speed. In motion control, fingerprint gesture is back although not working. General update to speed and performance.
Hi,
thanks for the info - can anyone confirm this "General B327" working and maybe there is a changelog?
For me, I tried to update and around 5-10% it forced an installation error (I rebooted with no probs after cancellation).
Regards, Bacelo
I have downloaded and installed 5.1.1 on my MT-L09 and it works well.[emoji3]

So I just got my Mate 7 today (MT7-L09) and I'm having a bit of a hard time keeping up with all the different update versions and everything. Currently I'm on B331 and I wanted to try this latest MM ROM, B560. I downloaded the full firmware but it's C432 and currently I'm on C900. I've read of a lot of people bricking their devices so I wanted to make sure this would work before I went for it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

From B331 you need to upgrade to B522 and then it automatically updates to B560 from the Updater.
Both the 522 and 560 are EU ROMS like the 331 you currently have installed. The risk of bricking the device using official updates is close to negligible.

I fear I managed to bricked my L09 yet again. I tried to upgrade to MM B560 directly from KK B145 using the 1.2 gb full update file. I put the update.zip file in the dload folder and started a local update. The software started upgrading with the following message.
"Huawei software installing DONOT press powerkey or remove battery!
The update went up almost 98% and is stuck there for the last 90 minutes. I dont see any hope that the updrage will ever complete even if I leave it alone for ever. Going by the warning on the screen, I might break the phone, If I long press the power key. Please let me know what I need to do now?

yes you did , you can't upgrade from kitkat to marshmallow , i only got my mate 7 few days ago and it was also on kitkat, there are a lot of post in this forum with guide how to upgrade and what not to do , my guess is you didn't read any of them .
at this point what you can try is put the kitkat firmware on your sd card and try to force the installation using the 3 buttons trick (volume up+volume down+power)
hi can someone please upload twrp backup of B560 so we can install it through twrp instead of getting default recovery then the procedure kindly anyone of them who have got MT7 TL09 and updated to B560 kindly make a clean backup after installing the fresh rom and upload it so users can install the same......!!

yes you did , you can't upgrade from kitkat to marshmallow , i only got my mate 7 few days ago and it was also on kitkat, there are a lot of post in this forum with guide how to upgrade and what not to do , my guess is you didn't read any of them .
at this point what you can try is put the kitkat firmware on your sd card and try to force the installation using the 3 buttons trick (volume up+volume down+power)

Thank you for responding touns_j. I knew the standard procedure of upgrading from KK to LP and then to MM. Couple of weeks back I came to know that it's possible to upgrade from KK to MM directly. However looks like this does not apply to B560. My attempt from B145 to B560 failed because either of the following 2 reasons.
(1) Only devices on B331 or B522 can be upgraded to B560.
(2) The vendor and country information needs to be EU.
I took the risk and booted my phone to recovery mode and then did a factory reset. The device is alive again. I'll try again after upgrading to B331 first.
Hi,
I have a TMobile S7 Edge, using in India. I flashed my phone from 935T to 935U, works perfectly well however I have not recieved the Nougat update yet..Will I have to do it manually from a PC??
To get Nougat from the U firmware you will have to either;
Flash back to a factory Tmobile ROM losing all data from your phone, wait for Tmobile t release the Nougat firmware, then update with the OTA like normal.
Or
Wait for Samsung to release the update for the U firmware and just download and install like a normal OTA update
I am also on the U firmware, I am waiting until Tmobile rolls out the update, then flashing stock and updating. THEN when Sammy decides to give us the U firmware I will wipe and go back to U cause it is so much n8cer than stock

Its only 116 mb final update to official N for beta users Not full firmware! So even if they had a leak, it would be no good without already being on N! I hope they release to public tomorrow

You were on G935UUEU4APL4 firmware and got the OTA? I was under the impression that the T-Mobile OTA would not be available for devices running the U firmware but maybe it will eventually get to everyone?

I was on the latest, non-rooted firmware, whichever that may be. Phone updated last night to Android 7.0.
