Someone knows How we can enable immersive mode (hide the softkeys) on the Device?
Thanks in advance
Download gmd immersive on the place store. If you purchase it you can eliminate the color bar. As far as factory from samsung I don't think there's any way, but could be wrong

I would like to know as well. Maybe a way to hide in certain apps and have it out in other apps?

You can use ADB to hide the nav bar and notification bar as well.
As for using on certain apps, it's a little hard work, but it can be done.
Here the links to help:

No. Why do you only want to hide it while on the home screen?
Edit: If you just want to hide it period, you can use this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1243352&d=1344188251

You need a custom rom like PA in order to do that.
Or use lmt so which is pie, so you can now hide the navigation bar buttons in expanded mode.

You can also use gmd gesture control if you want to stay on stock but quickly hide/unhide navbar using gesture, even on custom roms its faster than having to hold power button and clicking expanded desktop

This is a great way to permanantly hide navbar but keep notification bar on stock but there is 2 problems i encountered with this method, 1st prob was the 3 dots would dissapear from chrome etc and on 4.2.2 i encoutered a flicker problem quite often but it sounds like the OP wanted to just hide the bar on home screen which im not sure why lol but if thats what he wants his best bet would be gmd gesture control or custom rom with expanded desktop mode

Agreed gmd gesture looks pretty cool.

All other app hide navigation bar and notification bar. I'm developing new root app that will allow to hide just navigation bar and replace it with auto hide status bar replacement :fingers-crossed:. No system files modification and no reboot required, but root is still needed.
Try it here and let me know what you think.

Hey guys, I tried every exposed module that offer immersive mode, but the on-screen keys are persistent and don't go away when typing. Any idea how to hide them only when typing? I tried force immersive mode on Swype but our didn't work.

I desperately want a way to do this. I wonder if it is possible with Xposed or Tasker or something to that effect. To just hide it whenever the keyboard opens. I hate hitting home when I'm going for the space bar!
Edit: Ultimate Dynamic Navbar functions well enough, although I would still prefer an alternative!

Do t really need a status bar if you have that second screen. Some apps have an option to hide the status bar. For those that don't, anyway to force it?

I think k there is a setting for it somewhere. Doesn't work with all apps but it's there.
Where? I've seen a setting to hide navigation keys, but no setting to hide status bar.

Status bar no. Nav keys i meant. Sorry. Think the app needs a full screen mode like games or have to wait for xposed to catch up.
I have my wife a Samsung s7 edge (at great cost!) and she lives it other than the one and only game she plays on it which is spider solitaire. It is played in landscape mode and she finds it annoying,as do I, that when you try and click the top of the deck of cards, near the edge panel, the notification bar drops down and you have to wait for it to go back up or tap the screen to make no it go away.
How can I disable it for the duration of the game so this doesn't happen ?
You won't be able to disable notification bar with no root. I would recommend you installing another version of the game.

I have root access....Then what?
The easiest way will be downloading GMD gesture control app form the Google play store. You will toggle statusbar on/off with one gesture

Hey all,
I really miss the tinted navbar that I had thanks to the pixel mods for Nougat. Is there a working mod or app that brings the tinted navbar to android O dp2?
Thanks in advance!
edit: I found this app and it works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.damianpiwowarski.navbarapps
But it causes android system to give a persistent notification that it uses screen overlay.. So that's way too annoying to use unfortunately.
So either disable the notification from the app or disable to notification for the app info. Nav Bar Apps never bothered me and works fine without a notification
