Are proper lockscreen notifications possible?

Since I got the Note 3 a week ago, I've spent most of that time trying to find a way to get proper lockscreen notifications. "Proper" in this case means pretty much what LockInfo IV did on jailbroken iPhones (if you're familiar with that):
Each notification chosen by the user is displayed on the lockscreen as a separate entity
Each notification (text or email) can be viewed in its entirety on the lockscreen, if the user chooses that option (such as by tapping to expand each notification)
Notifications are persistent, in that they remain visible on the lockscreen whenever the phone is brought out of sleep mode.
I've tried LockerPro, Nils, Pop-up Notifier, and others and they all fail in one way or another. I'm led to believe that lockscreen notifications are limited by the way that Android populates the notifications panel. The big problem is that if you get more than one email or text, they all get lumped together into a single, useless "You have <x> number of new messages" entry, which means you have to unlock the phone and launch the respective app to see who it's from and what it says.
This completely defeats the purpose of screening notifications on the lockscreen.
I'd appreciate recommendations for any app that will make lockscreen notifications useful. Thanks to designgears, my phone is rooted now, if that makes a difference.
Try dynamic notifications. It mimics the moto x.
Won't show everything though.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that one and it didn't do it for me, but I'll give it another shot at some point.
For now, I've stopped worrying about lockscreen notifications, since push email is basically broken on the Note 3 anyway. It's like a time machine back to 1995.

Hey - I was looking for the same for my N3....i've been trying Dynamic Notifications on and off for awhile now. At first it works, and then just stops. Maybe give Knock2 +V2..I'm testing it now and so far it seems to work flawlessly for me

[Q] Lockscreen notifications since Lollipop

Hi , in the past (4.4) I had NiLS installed and could see the different apps notifications on the lockscreen while the phone was locked and screen off . Once a notification came in the screen was "waken-up" and I could see the notification. NiLS worked as a widget. Now, I understand there's no more widgets for the lockscreen , OK with that. The Lollipop replacement is the built-in notifications , however, when a notification comes in I can only hear the sound of it but the screen stays turned off. I couldn't find any decent notifications app that can now co-exist with the new mechanism. Any ideas ? how can I make the screen wake up for incoming notifications ? many thanks.

Nexus 6P: Strange notification behavior observations

I have had the Nexus 6P for about 1.5 months now. I am running Pure Nexus, and I use LightFlow to control notifications.
I've noticed strange notification behavior with this phone in general. Here they are listed.
1. On a clean reboot, notifications will work normally...for about a day or so. After some time (I don't know exactly when or how), notifications randomly stop. They only come through after turning the screen on or entering the respective app, such as a calendar app. An example is as follows: I noticed that I didn't get calendar notifications for 2 events; as soon as I opened the calendar app, they fired. This behavior happens on all my Nexus devices: a Nexus 5X, 6P and 9.
2. The notification LED does not work in call. In order to make it work, you have to enter the notification light settings and turn on the option to "Enable notification light when screen is on".
3. If music is playing or if you are doing something like Google Navigation, the notification sound will not work, but the vibration/notification LED will. Once exiting that app, it will work again. What is strange is that it "sounds" like the notification sound should play, because the music or Google Navigation will duck out...but no notification sound comes through.
Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior? Any thoughts on how to fix?

Multiple notification cards problem

So, after updating to Nougat (7.1.1), I needed a bit of time to get used to it but now I am really liking the new notification "cards".
A notable feature is how multiple notifications from the same app group together. Dragging down on the "grouped" notification expands and shows the individual notifications. Everything fine until here.
I noticed that if I expand the "grouped" notification and then dismiss one of the single notifications (swiping right or left), then after a couple of seconds the notification sound plays again (twice) like new notifications arrived. I can reproduce this every time I dismiss a single notification under a "grouped" notification.
Is this expected behaviour (strange I would say)? Is it a bug? Does it happen to anybody else?
Using A2017G V1.2.0B02.

When you say "heads up notification", are you referring to peeking where there's a short pop up message over the status bar? For example, every time I get a message on Facebook Messenger, there's peeking. If so, that frustrated me as well and I loved it when I could turn if off with Nougat's Power Notifications controls.
I finally found a way to disable peeking; I had to turn off sound by going to Facebook Messenger's App Info - App Notification - disable [Allow Sound]. I already use Lightflow to customize sounds/vibrations from my Nougat days. Once I disabled [Allow Sound], peeking stopped but I could still hear sound/vibration through my customization in Lightflow.
Problem solved for me.
Feel disgusting to heads up notification too.
try "Gaming Do Not Disturb"
I open it all the time to ban heads up notification
Here is how to set notification on oreo. go to setting > app And notification > then select your app for which you want to turn off or reduce importance of notification. If you select preference urgent / high / medium and low. then low means no sound no visual notification and urgent mean sound and popup.
Apps like telegram: it doesn't work properly, I have to do this for each conversation and group and that's annoying. any other tips? and the thing is it does revert back to urgent after few notifications
