I recently installed TWRP on my P8 Lite (ALE-L02), and now I can't install any updates. Can anybody provide a flashable .img file for me? My build number is: ALE-L02C18B130.

Havn't tried but unroot, install original recovery and update through EMUI, then root again and install twrp recovery

Have you modified somehow system partition? Host file, Adaway, Busybox...
System partition must be clean and untouched, just like original ROM. I had problems in the past because of this.

Use the full update, I don't have the link at hand, but the file is over 1 GB, it HAS to include the system.img or it will not work right.
For some reason I can't root my Huawei P8. It currently running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Before that it was running on Android 5.1 Lollipop and it was rooted. I've tried many times but was unsuccessful. The bootloader is unlocked (In the fastboot screen it said phone locked in red text). I flashed Twrp recovery install SuperSu but no root. Have anybody experienced this kind of issue? Any threads or site that can help me fix this and get my phone rooted? Thanks in advance.
Btw current build version is GRA-UL00C636B361
there should be a method with 2 zip file to flash in two steps (one right after another restart), but it was for the p8 lite, I do not know your model
you need kernel and last twrp....follow this instrction:

Hello, YOU MUST FLASH TWRP THROUGH FLASHTOOL AND THEN ( very important) you MUST BE REMOVED THE USB CABLE and finally YOU'll ACCESS TO THE TWRP.
Hi friends
I have P9 Lite (VNS-L31) Android 6.0
I want to install official update. I downloaded the package in settigs menu. I'm using TWRP. So update is not installed. I guess I need to use stock recovery. Where can I find it? How to flash stock recovery? Same the flashing twrp?
Yes,you'll have to flash stock recovery before applying your update.
You'll have to find the firmware of your version (B1XX),then extract the recovery using Huawei extractor (available on XDA ),and finally flash just like you flashed TWRP.
Hello,
I just updated my Oneplus 8 Pro to the latest update and would like to root the device again. However, I do not know where I can download a stock image file or how to generate one... Is someone out there that can advise me on how to get my hands this or how to do this?
Thank you!
You dont need to patch boot images anymore. just fastboot boot to TWRP and flash the magisk zip
Thank you for clarifying! :good:
