Hello..I bought A2017 and asked the selller to upgrade my phone before he send me the phone..so i received A2017U b19 with nougat 7.1.1 , then I got the problem as any sim card doesn't work, it says no service
Please help me what happened to my phone and what should i do? Thanks in advance
flash a2017 full firmwware, or flash only modem, for the last you need an unlocked bootloader and twrp...
the easier is to flash a full a2017 firmware, get phone working, then mod anything you want
Could you tell me all the steps? I never do those things before.
Are you on Verizon? If so, the solution is put a GSM (for example, T-Mobile or AT&T) sim card in your phone, restart it, then put your Verizon sim back in and restart again. You can get GSM sim for cheap on Amazon.
If this is your problem, you don't need to unlock your bootloader or flash anything.

I have lg v20 us996 and after the latest ota update there is no network(even though sim card is detected by the phone) and the radio button turned off automatically and there is no way to turn it on again.
I have tried all the dial codes to turn it on in phone info app but everytime I get a message saying that "This application doesn't work on this phone"
I have also tried factory reset but it didn't solve the issue .when I contacted lg usa they asked me to send my phone to us which I can't do because I live abroad.
Is there any way other than dial codes to turn my radio button on or is there any other way to get network back on my phone.
Note:I dont want to root my phone because I have bricked my previous phone trying to flash a new rom into that.
I have also used cell radio shut off app in play store. It just crashes whenever I use it.
So please suggest any other way if possible.
Yup, this happened to me as well and several others after the last update...and my phone is still under warranty but i can't send it to the US same as your case. It is really frustrating that an official update would brick your phone. There is a local service LG center in my country but they can't do anything. In my case in can't even unlock the bootloader for whatever reason.

You can tried this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-us996-service-radio-off-ota-kdz-t3727126?nocache=1
I have the same issue after the lastest OTA update. You can fix this by flash the modem file. Since i cant send my V20 to US so i have to fix it myself. all you need is unlock bootloader, install TWRP, update to the lastest OTA (optional) and flash the modem.img file.
How to unlock phone's bootloader. And for this is it required to root my phone
same here i worked abroad and i cant use my phone due to no network service same radio off. hope someone can help
:crying:

You can try the dirtysanta method. Unlock bootloader via LG will take about 3 days.

Idk i only know how to fixed this on us996. But you can try, i think you may need the modem file of AT&T variant.
You must have TWRP and flash the universal modem.img

hitting what seems to be the same issue, did you ever get it resolved? thanks
Hi, i have a H870 which was good until i flashed a H870DS rom.. it was all working, also with wrong stock, but after this mistake i decided to return back to correct stock.
Network connection is not working anymore. It doesn't even connect to the network, nothing.
It says only "service unavailable or "no service" (depends by how it should be translated from italian )
Today i decided to flash a H870s rom, so dual sim again, and it works! i don't know how, but my h870 has become only dual sim. No way to return back to h870 stock with network working.. Tried everything, flashing 200gb of rom stocks but nothing. Now it works only on dual sim variants' rom.
How can i do? I want it back to single sim, also because i want to flash a different rom which not works with dual sim stock,or better, network will not work.
Tried modifying network mode by *#*#4636*#*# but nothing.. imei is ok.
Thank you.
Why did you flash DS ROM over H870? Why would anyone do that?
It was a mistake, i used it for error
Flash stock with lgup
Ahahah come on.
I said i tried everything wirh all softwares and all roms.
i know I posted earlier about a different issue, sorry for spamming the board.
I have a T-Mobile 1+6t with 9.0.15, i have been searching and tinkering all day and am still very confused about how to do this. From what I've seen, it is definitely possible, and every guide i've looked at is very simply laid out but i keep running into issues. Firstly, I have successfully converted to international version using the MSM tool. I thought this would be enough for my sim card to work but it is still not working. Now I am reading a bunch of other things about sim unlock and bootloader unlocking. Sorry but I am a noob at all of this. Can anyone point me in the exact direction in order for me to get my AT&T sim card working in my T-MOBILE 1+6t?
So my information is : TMOBILE 1+6t converted to International, running 9.0.15, and need to get AT&T sim card working.
What Ive done so far: converted to international.
What am I missing?
Before the conversion, you needed to get the carrier unlock code from TMo.
If you have not done that, you need to convert back to TMo firmware, get it unlocked from TMo, use the unlock app to unlock. After that you can flash the international firmware.

is there a way around that? before i converted, i did see the unlock app and tried to use it but it said the device is not eligible. I called t-mobile and they said they'd send me instructions to unlock. But i am not totally sure if the phone is paid off, it was my gf's ex's phone who i don't know and she doesn't want to talk to
Right now i am trying something else - from the guides i've gathered, you need to be on 9.0.11 to unlock the bootloader and need the bootloader unlocked to unlock the sim, so:
I am downloading the files to downgrade to 9.0.11 international, unlocking the bootloader after that, then using this guide to unlock the sim. will this work?
There's no workaround.
If someone stole my TMo op6t and tried to use it in another network, he or she can't unlock it, as I own it and it may not have paid off.
Actually you can follow this guide ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-sim-unlock-t-mobile-version-type-t3915269 ) to remove the Sim lock. In essence you'll convert it to international, erase the two modem files containing the Sim lock info, revert it back to the TMO version. Apply to OnePlus for your unlock token, wait a week to get it, then unlock bootloader. End result is a fully bootloader and Sim unlocked phone. Or if you're not interested in unlocking the bootloader you can skip the last part. You'll still have an unlocked phone.

Hey I actually successfully followed this guide last night and am now typing on my 1+6t international w/ unlocked bootloader + sim unlock. I unlocked the bootloader using a different guide. One question: will updating my phone affect this sim unlock? Because I know you need 9.0.11 to unlock the bootloader, and you need an unlocked bootloader to use this sim unlock guide. I know there is an update available, Is it safe to update?

The Sim unlock sticks permanently, I've updated several times after doing the SIM unlock both on the TMO version and the international version and have had no issues at all. I flipped back and forth between the two trying to decide which I wanted to run. Stuck with the international just for the more consistent updates.

Thanks for the info brotha!
So I recently picked up the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 6T (A6013) from Amazon that was refurbished by Amazon. Based on the reviews, I expected that I would have to unlock the sim with T-Mobile before I could even use it. Now that I received the phone, upon booting, there was no T-Mobile animation, and I was able to pop both my AT&T sim and my (work) Verizon sim, both totally work to my pleasant surprise. Now that I'm digging into the unlock/root process, I'm a bit unsure if my bootloader is still locked and I need to take my phone from the T-Mobile rom to the international rom, or if I potentially can go straight into installing TWRP recovery and flash new ROMs.
Additionally, if I do go to the international rom, will I still be able to use my Verizon sim? That's not as important, but definitely a nice touch since it's for work, and I'd like to not have to carry around 2 phones anymore.
Any and all help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advanced!
UPDATE:
So I went ahead and tried the update process to take my phone to 10.0, but every time I update it, even when attempting through OOS' local update function, when I try booting the phone, it gives me an error along the lines of "FW version does not match SW version" - does anybody know what's up with this? Can't seem to do anything else and have had to restore it multiple times with MSM Tool. Will going through the 7-day unlock process help rectify this?
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a brand new s10+ from marketplace. I ran a full imei report and everything is clean & not blacklisted. It was a sprint phone however the provider I use is consumer cellular (uses ATT towers). When I put my sim card in it obviously said invalid sim and request it get unlocked. I wasnt concerned because I was going to convert it to unlocked anyways via odin like I did my note 9. I reflashed it via odin with the u1 firmware. However the same thing is happening it keeps saying invalid sim and the button for mobile operators is not showing. I have a tmobile sim card and if I put that in it works fine. Being though tmobile and sprint are the same thats why it works fine. I also have a ATT sim card, If i put that in I get the same invalid sim message. So it still appears to be locked somehow. Only sprint / t mobile sim works. I thought by reflashing to unlocked it would unlock the phone sim.
Just to be clear the phone is brand new and never was attached to any account.
Any ideas? I dont know what to do here.
Thanks!!
As I understand, phones that are locked to a network are not just software branded... also the phones hardware ID. So flashing a generic firmware is not enough. You need to get the phone unlocked from the phone's original operator
I found out what I had to do. I had to use a remote unlock service to remove the software lock on the phone. Its fine now. Thanks
