I want to use my LG 360 camera with my G6 and S8. Is it possible for the camera to work with the S8?
I use my Gear 360 with my G6... Had to find a hacked version of the app but works great

I figured there had to be one out there somewhere. So I would need the version of 360 cam manager?

Hmmm I don't know how the LG 360 camera works. The Samsung Gear 360 I technically didn't need the app, I could use the desktop manager included with the camera and do it all from the PC. I was able to use the camera to change shooting modes and all of that before I found the app. Now I manage everything through the app, much easier

It basically works via Bluetoonth / Wifi Ad-Hoc connection. So I think I can get it to connect, but you need the LG Cam Manager to transfer the pics from the camera to the phone. You can control the camera via the phone as well

Okay, i have what will probably be a stumper/undoable but here goes:
on the newer iPhones, if you are in the camera app, you can use the headset controls to trigger the shutter so you can take pix with minimal contact/shake.
I'm wondering if this is possible with the Arc. I can confirm the wired stock headphones from the x10 don't do this. Any ideas if this is workable?
With "tasker" you can do this...

A little more detail would be very helpful
Right now I don't had headphones with buttons but download "tasker" in market. Setup camera trigger with headphone button and your ready to shoot.

You can trigger the camera to take photo when you are using the LiveSound HiFi Earpiece as there is a LiveKey function and you will need to download the LiveKey Camera App from the market.
With the LiveKey on the Livesound earpiece, you can configure it to perform other tasks as well like TrackID etc.
I've tried that IP Camera thing on the store, but it wasn't a very good frame rate, plus it was zoomed in a lot.
Can't you do a Live Hangout on Google+?
Hm, I didn't think of that. I'll check that out. I think it's pretty bad fps on there though.

The new version of Airdroid will let you if you have the beta. The one in the Play Store does not have this feature just yet.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to connect a camera or camcorder to their Nexus 10 via an OTG cable, or perhaps another type of cable?
I know that a lot of the newer dSLR cameras have an app and wifi capabilities and whatnot. My camera is slightly older, but it has USB, HDMI, component. The usual.
I wanted to use my tablet as a view while filming. Is that possible?
I have an older DSLR and it works fine with Otg

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that it's actually a possibility.
Can you provide me with more details? What kind of camera do you have? Is it MicroUSB? Do you use an app to mount? Do you use an app to control the camera? Do you have full range of functionalities, or are you limited?
Anything you can tell me would be appreciated! Thanks!
I've used the DSLR Controller App with my Canon 60D. Works perfectly.
I had the intention of doing some long exposure remotely released work but not really spent the time.

I have a Nexus 10 still running stock 4.2 and a Canon Vixia M41 camcorder. When I connect them using OTG, I can view previously recorded content on the camcorder if I browse to the mp4 files using a file manager on the N10, but I haven't found a way to use the N10 to view the camcorder in real time.
I assume the Nexus can't take HDMI In, so I'm limited to the USB.

Hi there people
I have my HTC m8 a few days now and I am absolutely happy with it so I was playing around with it and noticed that you can create custom IR commands with the tv app
So I went on and grabbed my RC helicopter and its IR remote and started configuring it and boom!
It went flawless I could control the helicopter with my phone!
So I was wondering does anybody have anything else that can be done with the IR blaster?
Post down below I'd like to hear

I did that with my M7 last year. The bar went nuts! I've noticed now many bars have put black tape over the IR receiver to stop my fun!
I have mine setup to contol the lighting on my PC, and to turn on/off a relay to power my chromecast (I use a PC monitor so no ir on it). It's also nice to just not have to find a remote for the TVs around my house since I rarely touch them.

The first way you can just do the unknown device and program it yourself, but that sucked for layout so i got a free appletv ir app off google play. Much easier and same setup as an apple tv remote.

How'd you do this?
I use Smart IR Remote application. It's gives you tons of options for setting up different types of remotes. There other DSLR only apps out there too.

Can we push the envelope of this thread a little further?
1. Which are the best Play Store apps for IR apps, it seems the two would be: IR Blaster, and Smart IR Remote? Comments anyone?
2. Has anyone applied any super geek/scientific inquiry research to the output in these IR units? What amount of lumens/rads/calories does our unit put out....vs the S5,S4, M7 etc units output?
I ask because the HTC TV app doesn't work the way I want it for my Home Theater components, and I can't seem to use it to drive my A/C units.

Well I can tell you that the smart IR Remote is very pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Don't have that many obscure devices, but everything I have thrown at it (Tv's, home cinema, the usual stuff) have all worked flawlessly.
The library has got me covered thus far.
I also use Smart ir remote. It can be a littly quirky to set up, but it has by far the best interface.
It is also super configurable. I have it set up for every device in my home. In fact it actually enabled me to access the service menu on my LG TV and enable movie playback from USB. I tried loads of others, but this is the most polished and complete.
Hi, is there any way to record raw audio (uncompressed) while shooting a video? I'm currently using op5 cam and I don't think it has this feature.. If there is any modifications which will allow me or any other app for this purpose, kindly let me know.
Thanks

I don't think I've heard any phone being able to record raw audio. Where have you seen this?

Haven't seen this anywhere. Thats why I'm asking, if anyone lowkey knew. Because its a pain to record raw audio in a voice recorder and then to sync it with the video in an editor
If you want more control, guess you gave to go to another phone. LG G6 and LG V30 have manual microphone control : gain, wind cut, etc. That's the closest I guess.
