I just wanted to know whether anyone got Wifi Calling to work on the prepaid VZ plan on the 6P. Seemed to work on a friend's iPhone but not on my 6P.

Verizon doesn't support wifi calling on the 6p.

Has anyone been able to do this? I was thinking of getting a tablet but Verizon makes you switch to a share plan and that would end my unlimited data. I don't like any of their tablets either. So I was looking around and saw someone had gotten the N7 to use the Verizon LTE so I was curious if someone has got it working on Ting which uses the Sprint network.

No. The N7 is not capable of using Sprint's LTE network at all. The end.

Thank you for the quick reply. That just shows how little I know. I thought since both were CMDA networks they would be compatible. My mistake. This sucks since Verizon's data is way too expensive.

I'd recommend just finding a GSM network. The N7 works on AT&T and T-Mobile as well, and by extension works on prepaid networks which utilize AT&T or T-Mobile (Straight Talk, Aio, etc.)

Why the GSM recommendation? Am I missing something?

Well, it won't work on Sprint and you said Verizon is too expensive. Why wouldn't you consider using AT&T or T-mobile?

AT&T service is just horrible in my area. I could give T-mobile a shot I guess.
How do I setup Sprint WiFi calling on a 6P?

You can't until Sprint allows it. Currently it only works on iphones.
It definitely works in more than iPhones because I had my on my g3. There were others as well
I have been using the Nexus 6p on Verizon prepaid for a few weeks. I just tried to add bridge data but couldn't do it online or through their automated phone system. I was transferred to a representative who said that due to the device not being part of Verizons authorized devices, I cannot use the bridge data. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a workaround?
Verizon Sim
I"m using the 6P on Verizon Wireless Nettwork with Straight Talk monthly $45.00 US 5GB data at 4GLTE after that throttled to 2Gb

Sounds like a better deal than Pfi. Have you tried straight talk against Pfi?
Thanks
Im on Project Fi now, considering switching to the Verizon version of Straight Talk. Does anyone know if wifi calling is supported on Straight Talk?
Cricket has been good for me and my kids..

I apologise if this is in the wrong forum.
Does anyone use these two? Which do you prefer? I used to use ST, then Net10 for about the same amount of time. Now I'm going back to one of the two. And I'm debating which to go with.
Experiences with either on your N6P? Recommendations?

Using Straight Talk AT&T. Works fine for me. Never tried Net 10
Been using ST for 6 yrs now. getting great service with ST ATT on my 6P.
I also have used Straight talk for many years. I have used ATT one, VZW one and T-Mobile one.. I'd say the ATT 5gig one is the best bang for the buck.. All though if you go to their site and go to tablet Sims you can get 1gig for 15$ and 2gig for 25$, no taxes or fees and they let you port your number and us it in a phone no problem.
I'm using a AT&T net10 sim. Great service on this phone compared to my OneplusOne which had horrible service with net10. Edit: Also I pay $95 a month for my wife and I both on unlimited 5gb data plans.

Yes, I have used the VZW SIM on straight talk with the 6p.. It has several limitations. Number one is there is no VOLTE, so that means no data while you're on the phone with the 6p. Wi-Fi calling does not work, unless you use something like the hangouts dialer for outbound only... the phone will also not roam to partner networks such as US Cellular. And last but not least, the speed is capped to 5 mb x 5 mb up & down with a high latency usually more than 150 MS.. I would def recommend the AT&T SIM with straight talk.. Only limitation there is you also don't have native Wi-Fi calling. But all the other limitations don't exist with the AT&T SIM.
Great info, thanks!

I use straight talk so I have the luxury if choosing between all 4 major carriers. I'm only interested in att and Verizon because they're generally the most reliable. I live in Atlanta but will be going to savannah in fall for college. What's the better carrier for this phone? And anybody on Verizon could u please chime in with ur experience overall.
I have had my 6p on Verizon for about a week now albeit in Oklahoma. So far it has worked well. The first couple days I had a couple instances where it lost network connection but I haven't noticed it the last two days.

I've been using my 6P on Verizon since I got it in January. Happy with the service. But I have not used ATT since the flip phone days.
Verizon has always been spotty for me but I stuck with them for years since they are supposed to be the most reliable network. After switching to Google Fi I can say Verizon is just like Apple. They are just selling lies. Between sprint and tmo towers I get solid coverage and can actually use mobile data at my house if I wanted too. So what I'm saying is Verizon is no better. I would go with ATT if you are strictly between the 2.
