Module error - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi, everytime I try to install any kind of module with my SD plugged in it doesn't work after being installed. But when I try to install any module without my SD Card plugged in, it gives me a "Out of space" error. How can I fix this? Thank you.

Disable usb storage warning?

Has anyone tried, or figured out a way to disable that annoying "connecting usb storage will stop some applications in use..." warning when mounting for usb file transfer?
This is new in Froyo and I assume it's there because now some apps can be moved to the SD card and if you're running one when you mount, that app would stop functioning, I get it, but having to 3-click to mount the sd card is really annoying.
Sure wish it could be disabled in a custom ROM.
I agree. I'm looking for a way to kill this as well. I mean, the phone is rooted and has a custom ROM on it. Seems that should be a pretty welcome option.

SD card won't mount...

Kind of a newb here, but got mine rooted and got clockworkmod installed, seems to be working, but now I cant get my sd card to mount on my computer or on the phone... on the computer it just won't show up, even when I put the phone in the right mode, and the directory for the card will show up in clockwork, but whenever I try to load anything with clockwork(dl09_2.zip) i get a looping error that it can't mount the directory, eventually timing out saying:
E:Can't mount SDCARDL09_2.zip
Installation Aborted
E:Can't mount /devblock/mmcblk0 (or dev/block/mmcblk0p1)
(Device or resource busy)
It does exactly the same thing with both of the .zip I put on the SD card, before the computer stopped mounting it.
Any ideas?
Try rebooting the phone while its plugged in to the computer.
There are issues with CWM in 2.2.
Look for JT's patch to clockwork in dev or use Neumann.Tim's recent link to it in Repaz's tons of trouble thread
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.
Got the sd card to mount on the computer (I think that was a silly mistake of not properly un-mounting it in windows)
I am not using 2.2 though... and still having getting the error whenever I try to load any rom from CWM, it cannot mount the sdcard, says device or resource is busy. Any ideas? anyone?
Ug! I can load apk's with astro... so the phone will talk to the sdcard... I guess I will try to re-install the rom manager? anyone have any ideas?

I had the exact problem as you. After reading 100s of messages I found one that said to reformat the SD card. I copied the sd card files to computer, formated the card, and moved the needed ROM files back to the card. Downloaded Rom Manager/clockworkmod again. It was then able to mount the SD card and installed. Just copy the the rest of the files from computer to SD card.
Worked for me, YMMV.
I didn't reformat, but I did delete the rom manager and the copy of update.zip on the sd card, then used the CWRecovery.tar and redownloaded the app, and it works!

[HELP!] USB storage not working properly

I don't know what happened, but I can no longer mount the SD card via USB. I've spent half the afternoon trying to fix the drivers, and I end up in the exact same place I was before.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and CyanogenMod 6 RC2 on the phone. I have ADB set up and, to my knowledge, the drivers for it are working. ADB devices recognized my phone.
When I try to mount the SD card, the phone shows "USB storage in use," but it doesn't show up on my computer. Normally I get a little popup asking if I want to open the folder to view files. In Device Manager, it shows a little warning on USB Mass Storage Device which I believe is the phone. If I right-click and go to Properties, is says "This device cannot start. (Code10)" (see first thumbnail).
Here's the weird part: If I boot into recovery and select to mount the storage card, it will mount (see second thumbnail).
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
Did you try it with a different card? Or this card in card reader? You have to rule out simple things first, like weird card corruption.
I've tried a different card. No difference.
I uninstalled all the drivers and restarted my computer. When I plugged the phone in, I got the following message. Something called MTP did not install successfully. Anyone know what to do about this?
Well, after numerous cycles of uninstalling and attempting to reinstall the drivers, I still had no idea what the problem was. I uninstalled all the drivers and ran a utility on my PC to clean and fix problems in the registry. I rebooted it and then plugged the phone in. It installed the drivers and now both ADB and USB storage work.
Strange thing is, I don't see an entry for Android ADB Interface in the device manager any more. I see Android USB Drivers and the USB Mass Storage though, so I guess that's all it needs.

[Q] Unable to connect USB or to unmount SD Card

Since a few days I try to connect my phone on my computer but each time I push the button "activate USB mass storage memory" my telephone reboots. I have the same result when I try to unmount my SD Card from: Options>Storage>Desactivate SD Card.
I tried to Format my Sd Card, to re partition it with Rom manager but it's always the same.
May-be a track: After formating my SD, if i try to connect my phone, every thing is fine. I imagine it comes from the folder ".android_secure" because when it's empty I can access my card but when it's full of my apps I can't, it reboots. Inside of it I have about 60 files for more or less 200Mo.
I even tried with another SD-Card and the result is the same.
May be something that could help: when I connect my phone the debug icon turns green.
Thank you by advance for any help you could give me.
Well, I tried something new after reading several posts in many differents forum.
First of all I tried to de select "USB debug" in "aplication>developpement" and I could connect my phone and see the content of my SD Card. My telephone didn't reboot.
Now, I've found an application called "Multi Mount SD-Card" that keeps me going in the menu Developpement each time to select or deselect "USB Debug". It works fine but I imagine it should'nt be like this.
Whatever, I've got the result I was expecting.

Cannot Load Zip From Safestrap

Everytime I go to install a ROM in Safestrap I get the error "unable to open zip file". I'm moving the files over USB from Windows. The issue appears to be the transfer process from Windows to the phone as md5 checks out after I download from the internet to my PC and attempting to open the zip on my PC from the plugged in phone results in an error. Is anyone else running into something similar?
I forgot to mention that SD encryption is off.
Fixed with an SD format.
