I've just installed lightroom today following the clean from beta to 7.1.2
noticed there was an option for RAW capture
https://www.engadget.com/2017/03/06/adobe-lightroom-mobile-raw-hdr-capture-dng-files/
seems we're one of the few models to support this on android.
any other camera apps offer this do we know?
checked file size and normal jpg was averaging about 3mb whilst the lightroom RAW pic was 23mb...

I noticed many people (including myself) trying to figure out HDR video in the new MEA base. This thread is for that discussion. Hopefully someone will be able to give a clear answer on it and it will help everyone. So what magic must be done to enable HDR video? Is it on by default or is there some hidden setting?

thus far havent been able to do it with stock or ktoonsez kernels. how it works is pretty simple and should work ok, but should show some artifacting with heavy jello. basically it underexposes and overexposes every other scan line (not sure if it oversamples, averages, and combines from higher than 1080P res or just does so at regular 1080P resolution (most likely) in which case best quality would be found at 720P settings, as this would allow full blending.
What about faux123s new kernel? Interesting that we can't do it on the stock kernel.

i havent seen anyone find it yet; im interested to compare quality of 720P vs 1080P and see if my theory on transsampled scan lines is correct; its a dirty way to do it, but would work decently. HDR photo mode should work the same but it doesnt; instead any movement translates to blur (eg leaves, bugs, cars, etc).
Are you people stupid or just lazy? How bout going into the camera app hitting mode then scroll to HDR then hit the video button.

That only works for photo mode, which works totally different from video mode. i work in television and film; i took several sample clips in controlled lighting environments; photo mode does not alter video mode, in this update or 4.2.2 original, AOSP/CM, TW UCUAMDB/UCUAMDL or any kernels thus far.
watch who you call lazy and stupid; might come off a bit rude, to say the least.
Well according to this HDR video is included and there is only 1 HDR setting in the camera so unless there is another setting buried within the camera... That's it

Try out Friendcaster instead of Facebook
Yes I had the same problem with the Galaxy S4! I also posted this topic on this forum and was brushed off. Basically I felt that pictures that were taken on the phone looked amazing and high def on the phone itself but once I uploaded them to Facebook they seemed very hazy and blurry! I even tried emailing the pictures and uploading them to Facebook through my computer and iPhone and they still came out the same way. I enable hq upload on the computer and still the pictures were low quality! I have up and don't know what to do because pictures taken on older model phones with less megapixels look much better when uploaded to Facebook. The only thing I can think of is that the megapixels are to high for Facebook and when the quality gets reduced for Facebook purposes it gets blurry. If this is the case maybe HtC one made the right move by only putting a 4 ultra pixel camera on their phone.
Use an app called haxsync it works great

Hi,
I have the Nexus 6p and read today that it is 100% supports manual controls. Can any one suggest the best manual camera app on play store?
im also looking into a great 3rd party camera app for the 6p, most of the one in the play store are so outdated, don't support marshmellow as of yet, and with a very ugly ui. i need some kinda manual camera to concentrate on iso and HDR
Proshot or Manual Camera
Camera FV5?

camera fv-5 is the best IMHO. It also just received an update and receives updates both consistently and frequently.

FV5 has had a bit of spit and polish since I last looked at it. Will give it another go
Hi guys,
Am i missing something? EIS works in the viewfinder, the screen, but when i watch the video back, it was not saved to the file (using stock camera app). I've seen others have this problem, but this can't be standard I've seen many sample videos that were stabilised.
What gives?

Does anyone know how to share the 360deg photos and videos so that it maintains the view?
I took a short video with the 360 and tried to share over WhatsApp but the video ended up going as a full lens video showing everything instead of a 360 video where you can swipe across the screen to change the view.

This is cool information.
I took some great 360 pics today.
This phone with the 360 is worth it for no other reason.
