It is possible to have a custom kernel, root, and data partition encrypted working? I must use stock or a custom ROM? It is not possible at all?
Thanks a lot!

Only with Marshmallow.
You can run custom ROM in Nougat with encryption and TWRP (so you can flash mods) but you need stock kernel and you cannot be rooted. It won't boot.
Newer versions of Nougat won't even boot if you have encrypted kernel and TWRP period. It is the reason why I have not bothered updating past Helios ROM 7.3.0. All versions after that have busted encryption (same with Renovate ROM and any ROM based on newest sources).
The only mod I really use is boosted volume for headphone jack. Even this simple mod can't be done without modded ROM so I've had to stay on a older firmware.

Gals sorry if this was asked before, really sorry... i dont want to bother you..
I have some issues whit TWRP, the backup that i made of my official firmware (4.2.2 whitout knox) doesnt work.
The problem is that i installed a custom and now i dont know how to go back.
I know that in sammobile i can find the official 4.2.2 but ¿there is any way to install a 4.3 o 4.4.2 (oficial whitout knox)?
My head hurts.. after reading and reading i dont know what to do... i cant understand the modems and baseband things...
Cheers for the help
First, it depends on what firmware you're currently on what you can and can not do. Second, 4.3 and 4.4 both have Knox and there is none without it.

Thanks for the reply jd.
Right now im using C-Rom, i went from 4.2.2 stock to this custom (i did not flash anything else like modems or basebands).
Everything works fine but i want to return to stock.
So, ¿exist a stock rom (knox free) flashable vía twrp or CWM?
As i understand you.. ¿The only way to have 4.3 or 4.4 stock its vía official firmware whit knox?

If you want to return to stock, I'd user Odin and flash the 4.2.2 firmware. You can get that at sammobile.com

Hi everyone.
Im having a root issue.
Ive rooted my Galaxy S4 with no problems at all. My firmware version is I9505XXUGNG8.
However when i try to go to the Clockworkmod recovery i can't do it.
It simply goes to the normal system recovery. I want to install a custom rom, so this way i cant do it.
Ive tried some workarounds but the problem continues.
Is there anyway known to fix this?
Thanks
Have you tried to flash the recovery package with ODIN por Mobile ODIN?

Well for what ive read the real problem is the firmware itself and KNOX App.
There is no CF Auto Root for this firmware. Theres some turn arounds but not so easy as the normal rooting mode.
I will try to get an older firmware cause the only thing i want is to put a custom rom
Try towelroot

You usually don't. The custom status is a result of root. There might be a xposed module to change it but I don't use xposed so I can't say for sure. You can also try renaming SysScope.apk to SysScope.bak located in the system/app folder. I would just rename it in case it causes any problems instead of deleting it. There is a mod here but I haven't tried it yet because it's not a big deal to me.
Just freeze the sysscope.apk with titanium backup. Worked for me.
I was just wondering what benefits TWRP 3.0 brings to the s5? More compatibility?
Which goes with my second question, does it make Roms flash better? (I read the updates but does not answer my question)
Because before I used to be able to flash custom Roms like blisspop and Roms like that, but some time after I would try roms that weren't stock and would forever be stuck on bootloop.
After a certain point only stock roms would seem to flash and actually boot up.
So I was curious if this would fix that issue to where i can flash non-stock custom roms again.
For me it's a lot better than CWM. And far much powerful.
Is up to you wich one to use...

Permanent twrp
For permanent you have to use the latest official twrp installer, if you want to flash aokp for example, otherwise there's a workaround with just booting to deadmans older twrp. You find the steps in the custom ROM threads.
Here you go.
