If you successfully rooted your phone, just flash a ROM labelled as being for the ls997.

Works on some ROMs, but I don't recall him mentioning what ROM he even flashed. Oh well...
Us that have done it and fixed it maaaaannnnyyyy times know he flashed a aosp rom ...It's the only thing that screws up the network ... Those roms should actually have a big warning at the top ...But it's not like anyone would read that anyways lol

Look at the pics and u have to use a aosp rom ....Ie

Welcome!
Most people that release ROMs will have installation instructions on their post or somewhere. I personally SBF just to have a clean slate before I install a new ROM but following their instructions will usually sufice.

+1 I don't SBF unless I have to, as /wipe data and cache cleans stuff up, but I know others go with the sbf route like you do. Respected rooters.
I did the obvious measures. There is no headphone thing in the corner. Sound works with headphones though. I've flashed some different rooms and wiped everything trying to fix it.

I'm using the Tegraowners ICS v169 when it stopped working but now I'm on v170 Default kernel and other stuff. It worked for a second then turned back off so most likely not a hardware problem.

Do a full wipe by going into recovery> backup and restore option> click toggle backup and restore of internal storage(/data/media), Then back to main menu, click mount and storage menu > format /data. Be warned, this will erase and delete everything on you tablet, therefore you need to flash some ROM afterward.

I know they have it on freegs4 rom, but im running force.
itd be awesome to get that,
also, when are we going to get call recording, and flashlight toggle!!!
Pull the one you want from free rom, rename the force one with bak after .apk. push the free one and set permissions and reboot. Should work fine, make a nandroid before, just in case

ive got the apk on my desktop, i know how to change permissions once in my /system,
but i cant get the .apk to copy over, what do i need to do for that?

There is an option to turn the flashlight on by long pressing the brightness icon.

according to other users, it doesn't work on force rom, or any rom for that matter.
as a matter of fact, the op says not to use with any rom, just for stock rooted.
but thanks for trying anyways!

What is a good rom to run on this phone? I have tried a few and can't seem to find anything that works with out issue. I tried the latest SlimRom which I liked but It doesn't allow me root access. So apps like titanium backup don't work I've tried I think its OEO or something of that nature and it was ok and I don't care for CM11.
I am using the stock rom that came with the phone I think that is ICS

I have never found a more functional rom than mhous33 dst stock or the avistralia deodexed mod.
All the cm, pacman, aokp...... never work FOR ME in all the capacities of stock.
About TiBu, I have always found issues with it.
I use recovery advanced restore to move apps.
You can move your stock data to both the dst & avistralia roms.

They do have use to you because you would find the info you're looking for, if you take the time to read them.
I tried out SlimKat and it seemed ok but i really don't like how little they made the fonts and the screens in it. Some of us older people need bigger. I also had to flash the SU binary update as its not added to it. I tried out the beta 2 edition. After my data resets I plan on trying the DST one that was also suggested. Sometimes not having home internet sucks.
The title is pretty much the question. Does it work for you? Because my sim-cards just doesn't get recognised, no matter what N-ROM I use...
Edit: I erased the modemst1 and modemst2 and now it recognised a SIM but there is no signal at all... and there is always an error while searching for a network.
Yes it's working fine for me. Never faced any problems I'm using aosp.

Ah, I see you got the XT1562 DS and I got the XT1562 SS, maybe that's why it's not working for me...
i have the exact same problem. Is there any solution yet?
btw: i have XT1562 DS
You may have to flash single some baseband check the original thread and also install the latest version. And for DS are you installed latest version or the first release
